Upon arrival, I found that they were sold out. However, when I stopped by before my return flight, they had just received a fresh shipment of fresh cream. When I tried it at home, the fresh cream was delicious, and I could see why it is so popular. By the way, I found out that at Sapporo Daimaru, you need to have a numbered ticket in order to make a purchase.

Visited around 8:00 PM on 11/24. Souvenir shop at the airport. I had checked online and saw that they closed at 8:30, so I made sure to choose my items in time for checkout. However, by around 8:20, they had already started cleaning up the shelves and blocking the aisles, making it impossible to choose anything. The store was practically empty and they were beginning to close up. If they want to close so early, they should consider changing their closing time from 8:30. My receipt shows 8:21, but by then, almost all the shelves were cleared and the shutters were coming down, leaving only one exit open. The store seemed large, so I decided to shop, but it would have been better to choose a store where you can shop until the actual closing time.

I wandered around the souvenir shop as the restaurant I wanted to go to wasn't open yet. I didn't want to buy anything heavy until the day I was leaving, but I decided to check out the alcohol section. Of course, I had to buy some beer first. I haven't been drinking much domestic wine lately, so I thought about buying some wine as well. While I was browsing, a staff member approached me. I told them it had been a while since I was in Hokkaido and that I planned to buy a lot on my way back. They recommended a Japanese sake and wine to me. They asked if I had ever tried "Pirikawakka." When I said no, they told me they had Pirikawakka draft beer available. I had to try it! They were selling draft beer in a corner of the alcohol section! The Weizen and limited edition Pilsner were sold out, so I ordered a regular Pilsner. It was served in a plastic cup. It might create more waste, but it's easier to dispose of, right? It wasn't too strong, but had a subtle bitterness. I could see myself finishing it quickly if I were eating something alongside it. I was satisfied with being able to drink wine and beer in the morning. After this, I was going to have a meal.

[2021.03 Hokkaido Souvenir♪] It was my first Sapporo business trip in almost a year, since the exhibition held in February 2020 amidst the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. Before boarding the plane back, I wandered around at New Chitose Airport and my partner requested "wakasaimo". His mother often comes to help at our house, so I bought the "wakasaimo" which is her favorite. I also found some good saltwater sea urchin and soy sauce-marinated salmon roe, which are essential items in my opinion. Here is what I bought:
- Wakasaimo (6 pieces for 777 yen)
- New soy sauce-marinated salmon roe (2,550 yen for 150g)
- Saltwater sea urchin (5,000 yen)
The salmon roe became the star of our homemade sushi over the weekend. Eating the sea urchin with wasabi without soy sauce was delicious! It was a satisfying purchase of sea urchin and salmon roe even without going to Sato Suisan. The location was near ANA FESTA in the departure lobby of New Chitose Airport, but the souvenir shops there are so vast that it's hard to pinpoint the exact spot.

Let's head to the gate to complete the boarding process early. My family found some "local coupons" that were still valid! Since we'll be creating paper waste on the plane, let's make sure to use them all up. Luckily, we found a store right in front of us. The entrance we walked into was the "liquor corner" with a wide selection of wines and Japanese sake, including famous Hokkaido wines. One recommended item was the "Yoichi Zweigeltrebe" red wine (2098 yen) made from 100% Zweigeltrebe grapes. It has a medium body, elegant aroma, and refreshing tannins, making it a good match for Genghis Khan (grilled lamb dish). We also tried the Japanese sake "Kushiro Sea Mist" (990 yen), which evokes the mystical image of mist over the green land of the Kushiro Marsh in Hokkaido. It has a light and easy-to-drink mist-like flavor, personally I found it to be subtle. A classic snack we got was the Jagapokkuru and Marseille butter sandwich, both reliably delicious. We also picked up Royce chocolates as a quick and easy gift for colleagues. There was even a beer tap in the store, making me wonder if we could have a drink there! Having a beer before boarding the plane would have been nice. This shop had a great variety of products and was conveniently located right before the security check for carry-on luggage.

Sapporo Tour vol.27 After buying souvenirs for the company and family, it's time to get something for myself. I'm visiting Hokkaido Honpo. I always buy the Engawa series here. After sampling, I chose the wasabi and mekabu flavor this time. While the chanja flavor is also delicious with its spicy kick, I see it often at drinking spots lately, so I decided to go for a more traditional taste this time. This will be my snack for drinking at home and also goes well with rice. Sometimes my family eats it up quickly, so I have to hide it to save some for myself. Packed in a cooler bag and securely stored in the trunk, let's move on to the next stop for another souvenir.

The fun stay in Sapporo is coming to an end. I want to drink "Sapporo Classic" one last time! So, I bought various types of alcohol at the store "Hokkaido Honpo" inside the airport, and I plan to enjoy it on a random bench nearby. For snacks, I will buy various items from different stores inside the airport and enjoy them little by little. Here is Hokkaido Honpo store. Let's dig in! Oh, I found Kamaei! Goodbye Sapporo~. About Hokkaido Honpo souvenir shop.

【September 4, 2019】Survey report. When I asked my wife, who was staying at home, "What souvenir would you like?", she gave me a pinpoint request as the daytime information program was ranking Hokkaido souvenirs. I found the requested item at the airport and purchased it. Here is the purchased item and review: ◆ Whole Squid Shumai for 1,188 yen from Hakodate Tanabe Food Co., Ltd. I brought it home and microwaved it. It's a shumai made with whole squid from Hakodate, including the legs, cartilage, ears, and body. The texture and flavor of the squid are delicious! It's also cost-effective and perfect as a souvenir.

Last time I came to Hokkaido, I tried the sake in Kushiro and it was very delicious. But when I was leaving last time, I was in a hurry and couldn't find it, so I missed my flight. This time, I had enough time and made sure to buy it as soon as I arrived. Of course, there are many other souvenirs besides sake available here. If you have shopped at New Chitose Airport a few times, you may unknowingly be using this store. The sake I brought back is called "Fukutsuka". Unfortunately, the daiginjo I had last time was sold out, so I bought a junmai ginjo instead. I won't base my evaluation of this store solely on the taste of the sake, as it may be misleading. The sake itself is very sweet and easy to drink. I'm sure you can find it in Tokyo if you look for it, but I haven't found it yet, so I decided to bring it back from here this time.

New Chitose Airport. I only had "Shiroi Koibito" in mind, but there were many different tastings, and surprisingly, it was enjoyable.
- Shiroi Koibito White & Black 24 pieces 1,522 yen
Personally, I'm not a fan of white chocolate, so I always wondered why there was no black! (laughs) Langue de chat and chocolate are delicious, right? The chocolate that protrudes from the langue de chat. The standard is a must and the taste is never wrong.
- Kegani Uni Chazuke 6 bags 648 yen
I got to taste the kegani chazuke. It's delicious when you eat it occasionally, right? After returning home, I tried it as ochazuke. Oh dear... It seems like I was under the spell of the journey...
- Hokkaido Limited Soup Assortment 6 bags 648 yen
This is the only soup that Nagatanien offers. I'm not a fan of powdered soup, but I ended up buying it because of the magic of the journey (laughs).
- Hokkaido Limited Apollo 864 yen
Large Apollo in small packaging with 24 pieces. It was delicious during the tasting, so I bought it for sprinkling. Apollo with chocolate (bottom) and white chocolate (top), with strawberry chocolate inside. Despite being small, the large size was surprising! The strawberry inside was surprising! It was surprisingly well-received.
- Sapporo Okaki Oh! Baked Corn 6 bags Price unknown
It's a salty rice cracker, but you can also taste the sweetness of corn. As I continued eating, I noticed that there were also corn kernels inside. It's interesting, like freeze-dried. Thank you for the feast. The dried snack was well received ♡♡♡

After buying kamaboko, I wanted to buy some cheese as a souvenir, so I wandered around and ended up buying some here. It's a relatively large booth that sells snacks, frozen and fresh seafood, and cheese. They also have a wide selection of alcohol. This time, I bought Kurashima Dairy's Black Pepper Cheese and Gouda Cheese. I think I usually buy milk from here. The Black Pepper Cheese has a strong black pepper flavor and is delicious. It goes well with beer rather than wine. The Gouda Cheese didn't have any particular standout features, but it was well received by the people I brought it to. The samples were plentiful, and even though I didn't buy them, the Engawa Wasabi was delicious. The seafood wasn't too expensive, it felt like the prices were similar to what you would find in a supermarket.

This shop is a comprehensive souvenir shop that handles a wide range of Hokkaido alcoholic beverages, wines, seafood, and sweets. They have a rich selection of alcoholic beverages. I bought Hokkaido wine for my colleagues and Hokkaido Craft Beer and Sapporo Classic for ourselves. Even though you can buy them online now, I still prefer to bring them back myself despite the weight. I have a particular preference for souvenirs. I bought a total of 4 bottles, 2 of each. Local beer is truly delicious. Enjoying a glass while savoring the aftertaste is also a great experience. Now, I am heading to Itami by air.

This is a souvenir shop in the departure lobby of New Chitose Airport. It is located before the baggage inspection area, so everyone can use it. This shop has the largest floor space and a wide variety of products. While all souvenirs from Hokkaido are charming, it is a fact that there are not many items that can only be purchased in Hokkaido. Instead of searching for good souvenirs, it became a task to look for things that are not often seen at local product fairs (such as the Hokkaido Fair). The shop also has a rich selection of alcohol and fresh products, allowing me to buy a variety of items.

When I went to a restaurant after a long time, there were various flavors of enoki mushrooms. After tasting, I found that wasabi was still the best. Enoki mushrooms pickled in wasabi (820 yen).
