I have tried to go there several times, but the store is often closed (due to holidays or sold out), so I couldn't make it. Finally, after a long time, I was able to buy something! It was around 12:15 on Saturday, shortly after opening time. There were about 3 groups of customers ahead of me. There were various types of bread, but they were selling out quickly as more customers arrived! It was nice to be able to choose from a variety of options. They all looked delicious!! I was so indecisive, but in the end, I chose the sunflower seed bread and the fig & walnut bread (which was a limited edition). The staff asked me if I wanted the bread sliced, but since there were still a few people waiting behind me, I declined to avoid causing any inconvenience. By the time I left, some breads were already sold out, and about 60% of the breads in the case were gone compared to when I entered. They sell fast! Well, there might still be some stock in the back. I'm not sure. It's really popular! From the conversations I overheard between other customers and the staff, it seems like Saturdays are the busiest days. I see. Indeed. On the way back, the bag emitted a super fragrant smell of bread! My stomach was growling~♪ When I got home, I couldn't resist and just bit into the bread without cutting it. Once I opened the bag, the smell of German bread filled the room! Such a lovely scent! - Sonnenblumenkornbrot [Whole wheat rye bread with 70% sunflower seeds] 1/4 loaf 280 yen (tax included) The sunflower seeds have a smoky aroma. The crispy outer skin generously coated with seeds is fragrant and has a good bite. When you chew, there is a sticky texture. The inside is filled with something (sunflower seeds?) that adds to the satisfying texture! It was delicious even without any toppings. The combination of flavors and textures was wonderful! I was quite hungry, so I devoured it in no time! It was so delicious. As time passed, my stomach gradually filled up, and even after 6 hours, I didn't feel hungry much. With the inside packed tightly, even a quarter loaf for less than 300 yen is incredibly cost-effective. - Fig & Walnut Bread [20% rye with plenty of figs & walnuts in the dough] 1/2 loaf 626 yen (tax included) A generous amount of figs and walnuts. Sweet and fragrant. It tasted even better when lightly toasted! I think about 10 years ago when I visited, they also had dine-in options, like German bread sandwiches. It's been about 10 years... I just realized it while counting. Time flies... (deep sigh) The bread here is still delicious. They seem to operate only 3 days a week, so timing is key, but I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the delicious bread. And thank you to the staff who kindly assisted me despite being very busy. I will be back soon. Thank you for the meal! (●'◡'●)
