"Osaka City Nishi Ward" A popular bakery with a beautiful name, "Kirschbrüte," located about a 5-minute walk from Osaka Metro Sen'nichimae Line Nishinagahori Station. Visited on December 8, 2022. Ranked among the top 100 bakeries in the 2022 WEST bread category! Although it is a small bakery that quietly stands, this German bakery is quite skilled. I purchased the "Whole Grain Round Bread with Granberry and Cream Cheese for 248 yen" and the "Whole Grain Round Bread with Chestnut Glacé for 239 yen" and tried them immediately. The moment I ate them... Oh my goodness, they were so delicious! I had a bit of a negative impression of German bread, but this taste completely changed my mind. It was incredibly delicious! The texture is amazing, with a soft and fluffy feel that is just delightful. The one with chestnut glacé had a subtle sweetness from the chestnut, combined with the natural sweetness of the bread, making it truly exquisite. I underestimated these small round breads, they were outstanding! The cream cheese one was also amazing, with a fluffy and chewy dough, topped with a slightly acidic granberry jelly and warm cream cheese inside, creating a delightful harmony of berry and cheese. My perception of German bread has completely changed. Thank you for the delicious meal!

It is a German bread specialty store that is open only three days a week. The authentic German bread is very dense and has a firm texture. The pretzel has a strong saltiness on the crispy outside and a super soft inside, making it very delicious. I received it this time, but I would like to go buy it myself next time.

Cheese and meat go well with this bread! It is also very filling. However, if you are not used to eating it, you may not find it very delicious. But once you get used to it, you will become addicted to this mysterious bread. It is so good that you might even consider taking a day off work on the day the bakery opens, haha. The fig bread is slightly sweet compared to other breads. The sunflower seeds give it a delicious nutty flavor, and the cheese inside adds to the taste. I bought it while it was still warm, so I didn't ask for it to be sliced. It was recommended to wait until it cools down to slice it, as it will help it stay fresh for an extra day.

It was before 12:30, but the sweet (fig-filled) bread was already sold out, which was disappointing. This time, I got a half loaf (1/4) to go. The flavor was great, with a firm texture and a strong rye taste. It felt like a professional bakery. Thank you for the meal.

As soon as the store opened, there were many customers in the small shop. I was planning to buy some bread, but I saw German bread lined up. It was being bought by the customer in front of me, and it seemed like it was really popular. The shop only opens three days a week, so it must be really delicious for people to buy it in bulk. I got a loaf of Mischbrot sliced and also bought a fig and cream cheese bread. It looks like dried fish tempura, but the aroma of rye and the chewy texture that I've never experienced before. I think I'm just not used to it, but I have a feeling it will become addictive. I overheard a conversation with regular customers that cinnamon rolls will be available around 1 pm. I would like to try them if I have the chance. For now, I will portion them out and store them in the freezer for a morning treat. Update: As I continue to eat it, this bread is really addictive!

Olive Bread 1/2 for 450 yen, Fig and Walnut Bread with Cream Cheese for 280 yen, Pretzel for 248 yen, Cinnamon Roll for 259 yen. I bought 4 items this time. I had received a Sunflower Seed Bread from a friend before and it was delicious, so I decided to buy some when I was nearby. The Pretzel is delicious with a nice chewy texture. I was told that if I don't eat it on the same day, it's better to freeze it to prevent the salt on top from melting. The Fig and Walnut Bread with Cream Cheese has a generous amount of cream cheese filling. It's more filling than it looks. The shop is small and you can't see the bread display from outside, so at first I was worried they were sold out. But once inside, I was relieved. So don't judge from outside, just go in and check it out.

I have tried to go there several times, but the store is often closed (due to holidays or sold out), so I couldn't make it. Finally, after a long time, I was able to buy something! It was around 12:15 on Saturday, shortly after opening time. There were about 3 groups of customers ahead of me. There were various types of bread, but they were selling out quickly as more customers arrived! It was nice to be able to choose from a variety of options. They all looked delicious!! I was so indecisive, but in the end, I chose the sunflower seed bread and the fig & walnut bread (which was a limited edition). The staff asked me if I wanted the bread sliced, but since there were still a few people waiting behind me, I declined to avoid causing any inconvenience. By the time I left, some breads were already sold out, and about 60% of the breads in the case were gone compared to when I entered. They sell fast! Well, there might still be some stock in the back. I'm not sure. It's really popular! From the conversations I overheard between other customers and the staff, it seems like Saturdays are the busiest days. I see. Indeed. On the way back, the bag emitted a super fragrant smell of bread! My stomach was growling~♪ When I got home, I couldn't resist and just bit into the bread without cutting it. Once I opened the bag, the smell of German bread filled the room! Such a lovely scent! - Sonnenblumenkornbrot [Whole wheat rye bread with 70% sunflower seeds] 1/4 loaf 280 yen (tax included) The sunflower seeds have a smoky aroma. The crispy outer skin generously coated with seeds is fragrant and has a good bite. When you chew, there is a sticky texture. The inside is filled with something (sunflower seeds?) that adds to the satisfying texture! It was delicious even without any toppings. The combination of flavors and textures was wonderful! I was quite hungry, so I devoured it in no time! It was so delicious. As time passed, my stomach gradually filled up, and even after 6 hours, I didn't feel hungry much. With the inside packed tightly, even a quarter loaf for less than 300 yen is incredibly cost-effective. - Fig & Walnut Bread [20% rye with plenty of figs & walnuts in the dough] 1/2 loaf 626 yen (tax included) A generous amount of figs and walnuts. Sweet and fragrant. It tasted even better when lightly toasted! I think about 10 years ago when I visited, they also had dine-in options, like German bread sandwiches. It's been about 10 years... I just realized it while counting. Time flies... (deep sigh) The bread here is still delicious. They seem to operate only 3 days a week, so timing is key, but I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the delicious bread. And thank you to the staff who kindly assisted me despite being very busy. I will be back soon. Thank you for the meal! (●'◡'●)

A bakery in Minami Horie that seemed to only offer rye bread when I visited. I tried the fig and walnut bread, which was sliced for me. The rustic aroma of rye was rich, and the inside was dense with a nice salty touch. The texture of figs and walnuts added a great accent. Thank you for the meal.

"Kirschbrüte" located between Nishi-Nagahori and Nishi-Ohashi. A renowned bakery with a rating of 3.68 on Tabelog. Due to certain circumstances, they are currently only selling rye bread. The shop is only open on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. I wanted to try their salt bread, but I'm not sure when I can visit again... I bought a half loaf of "Mischbrote" and "Sunflower Seed Bread" for around 850 yen. The staff was friendly and easy to talk to. There is only one table for dining in, so I opted to take out. I'm not very familiar with German bread, so I was surprised by the weight of the half loaves. I sliced and toasted them with butter. The rye bread was dense and full of flavor, while the sunflower seed bread was fragrant with plenty of seeds. I will definitely make a reservation to try their salt bread and pretzels next time! If you're interested in this shop, please save it based on this review!"

West Nagahori ◇ German Bread ◇ [Nishi-ku Minamihorie 3-chome] Amida-ike-suji Go south at the signal of Amida-ike and turn east on the first street on the left side, there is a bakery called "Kirschbrüte" near Horie Elementary School where my daughter used to attend. It has been open for about 12 years but only operates on weekends. I entered the shop around 5 pm after finishing eating sushi. There were only a few bread left on the shelf. ◆ Kirschwrote 1/2 (648 yen) ・ Orange peel ・ Raisins ・ Dried figs ・ Walnuts ・ Cranberries with almonds tucked in ◆ Zaltschtange (258 yen) ・ Butter Impretzel A salty bread that my dad likes, reminiscent of the salt bread I ate in Amakusa City. I enjoyed it as a Sunday morning breakfast. "Thank you for the meal" ——————————————————————— I can't speak German, but I have one German song that I can sing ~ ♫ Oh, komm doch, komm zu mir You take my mind away Oh, komm doch, komm zu mir Come give me your hand ~ ♫ (The Beatles / 1964)

I finally went to a German bread shop that is one of the top 100 on Tabelog! I've been wanting to go for a while, and I'm so glad I did. The bread may look plain, but it's really delicious. The lineup reflects the shop's focus on healthy bread. I made reservations for the items that seemed like they would sell out, and it was a great decision. Almost everything was sold out. The Saltstanger (salt bread) was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, incredibly delicious. It's the best salt bread I've ever had. When you take a bite, the butter drips out, which is just heavenly. The Schnecke (cinnamon roll) was unique with raisins inside. The aroma alone was enough to make me love it. The top was crispy, while the inside was soft and chewy like a cinnamon roll. I usually love cinnamon rolls with frosting, but this simple roll was also very tasty. I tried a pretzel for the first time. It was low in fat, with a satisfying chewiness and a light saltiness on the surface. The Pretzel had a unique texture and taste that I enjoyed. The Volkorn toast was made with whole wheat but was not dry at all. It was moist and fluffy, the best whole wheat toast I've ever had. The size was a bit small, though, so one slice wasn't enough. The whole wheat bread with cranberry and cream cheese was also incredibly delicious. The whole wheat dough was soft and moist, and the cream cheese inside was smooth and creamy. The addition of cranberries added a sweet and tangy flavor that made it even better. This was the only reserved item that was still available for purchase. The Sunflower Seed Bread with cheese was simple and delicious, with plenty of seeds and cheese mixed in. It's a bread I'd like to enjoy with a meal. The Kirsch Bread with dried fruits and walnuts was a chewy and tasty bread with a generous amount of toppings. The bread itself was a bit crumbly, but it was still delicious on its own without the need for cream cheese. The owner of the shop was a warm and talkative person, making the whole experience even more delightful. It was truly a lovely shop.

After arriving at the store around 3 pm and finding it almost empty, I was surprised to see that most of the bread was already sold out! The names of the bread were long and a bit difficult to order (laughs). I chose a bread that looked like salt bread and another that seemed like a good snack with alcohol. The staff cut the big bread into thin slices inside the store, and I recommend the 8mm cut size! This is perfect for snacking with wine or beer. The salt bread and the bread with raisins both had a very fragrant and flavorful dough. They were unique types of bread that were high quality and delicious, which I don't often find elsewhere.

The Sunflower Seed Bread with Plenty of Cheese (583 yen) has large sunflower seeds on the surface, which is nice. The generous amount of cheese inside was very delicious (^O^). It's great that the cheese is not in chunks but marbled into the dough. The Chestnut Mish Bread is half the price at 561 yen. It has plenty of delicious sweet chestnuts inside. Payment is cash only.

Arrived at 12:05, many products were still not baked yet. There were no pretzels. I bought half of the bread shown in the picture, they cut it in half for me. I'm not sure if the price is cheap or expensive for German bread. It tastes good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat it... If they served it with some side dishes in a cafe, that would be nice... Well, German bread is a bit niche, and although I enjoy trying different kinds, I can't really tell the depth of flavors, haha!

I went to Kirschbrüte, a famous bakery for German bread, after visiting Nishiohashi. The shop is not very big, and they sell various types of German bread. I bought a round bread with cranberries and cream cheese. It's a soft bread with cranberries kneaded into the dough. Inside, there is cream cheese which adds a nice tangy and sweet flavor to the bread. The combination of cranberries, cream cheese, and bread creates a rich and delicious taste. Although the size is small, the generous amount of cream cheese makes it satisfying. I look forward to trying more authentic German bread next time.

I went to Kirschbrüte in Minamihorie, Osaka and brought home a whole wheat cranberry and cream cheese round bread as well as an olive bread. The combination of cranberry and cream cheese in the bread was delicious, and I was confident of its taste even before eating it. The olive bread is tasty as is or toasted in a toaster. I arrived after 5 pm, so they were almost sold out, but I'm glad I was able to buy some.

Kirsch Brüte is a genuine German bread shop located in Minami-Horie, Osaka! They offer a wide range of bread, from affordable options to authentic German bread. The traditional German bread made with only flour, salt, and water is packed with the taste and dedication to the ingredients. The rye bread is well baked and has a satisfying chewiness, giving it a hard texture that is characteristic of German bread. Despite being authentic German bread, it is still easy to eat for Japanese people. They also offer another German specialty, the pretzel, which has a firm texture and just the right amount of saltiness. The fig and cream cheese rye bread roll is also excellent, with a perfect balance of flavors and a nutty accent from walnuts. Overall, the quality of the bread is high, but whether it will appeal to everyone is subjective. The shop is only open on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, starting from 12 pm, but the bread selection is better in the afternoon. I recommend visiting around 1 pm to enjoy a wider variety of bread. I rate Kirsch Brüte with an overall score of 3.6. If you're in the mood for authentic German bread, consider visiting Kirsch Brüte!

My friend loves pretzels so much that we searched everywhere for them and finally found this shop. The pretzels are only available from 13:30, so we played at the park for about an hour before lining up. When they came out, people started lining up one after another. We managed to buy some in a hurry. I also bought one for myself after a long time, but pretzels are definitely a matter of personal preference. My friend said she prefers them even harder. This shop seems to be a genuine German bakery, as there were many regular customers. Thank you for the meal. Pretzel 220 yen
