I wanted to enjoy a BBQ atmosphere without having to prepare anything myself, so I visited this BBQ house. I had reserved an outdoor seat, but unfortunately it was raining so we had to sit indoors. I ordered the Genghis Khan set (lamb slices, vegetables, 1 rice ball) for 1,850 yen, and the BBQ set (chicken thigh, spare ribs?, pork loin, vegetables, 1 rice ball) for 1,850 yen. They said it was okay to order drinks here or use the vending machine. The cost performance is not the best, but the meat and vegetables were delicious, and it's a great place when you want to enjoy BBQ without getting your hands dirty. Enjoy!

I went strawberry picking and discovered that there was a BBQ area here, so I decided to stop by. After placing my order and making payment inside, the staff brought the food to the outdoor seating area. I sat outside. The weather was unstable that day, with the sun coming out and rain falling, but the outdoor seating had large umbrellas so I could enjoy without any issues. The Genghis Khan dish came out frozen, so I wasn't expecting much, but it was surprisingly delicious!! I even went for seconds. The chicken included in the BBQ meat assortment was very juicy and tasty. We grilled the skin until it was crispy. It's just great to be able to enjoy BBQ in such a location!! If friends from out of town come, I will definitely bring them here!! Additionally, this place offers strawberry picking, horseback riding, and fishing, so you can have a full day of fun. [Notes]: - The restroom is a pit toilet, so parents should be cautious with small children. It's a bit scary even for adults. - There was no diaper changing table (maybe there was one somewhere), so I had to go back to the car to change diapers.

Sapporo City Minami Ward is the mountain hut of Hakkensan. It doesn't feel like Sapporo, but it's at the southern end. It was the last day of the season, so it was quiet around. It's getting cold, and it rained heavily the day before. But it cleared up and feels nice. We ordered various dishes and enjoyed drinking from noon. Thank you for the meal.

Barbecue House "Yakensan no Yama Goya" It's been a while since I went hiking, and this time I chose Yakensan in Minami ward, Sapporo City. We started at the Yakensan Fruit Orchard at the foot of the central entrance, with a round trip taking about 1.5 hours. We finished the hike around 11:00 and decided to have an early lunch. The menu mainly consists of Genghis Khan (Mongolian barbecue), but they also offer Kalbi, Sagari, Hormone, chicken, and other options for barbecue. There is also an option to enjoy barbecue outside. We decided to go for the Lamb Slice and vegetable set without hesitation! The "Genghis Khan @ 1100 yen" dish is available in two types: seasoned and lamb slices. We chose the lamb slices and vegetables set. You can eat inside the old-fashioned log house, but since the weather was nice, we decided to eat outside! We ordered two servings of Genghis Khan with bean sprouts, locally grown watercress, and zucchini. The meat was the traditional frozen round cuts. Genghis Khan just tastes better this way – with charcoal and a hot plate provided, we started grilling right away. Both the meat and bean sprouts were delicious, especially with the rich sauce that made the meal even more enjoyable! It was a shame that we couldn't have beer, but eating Genghis Khan while gazing at Yakensan was truly special. It's been a while since I had Genghis Khan outdoors, and it was so delicious that we finished it in no time! The orchard offers fruit picking, fishing in two ponds with carp and crucian carp, horseback riding, and a craft shop, making it enjoyable for families with young children. The facilities may be a bit old-fashioned, but being able to enjoy Genghis Khan without changing after hiking is quite luxurious! I also recommend the nearby "Yakensan Winery." I went to climb Mt. Hakken and eat Genghis Khan! After climbing, I had Genghis Khan and a hot spring bath included for 2000 yen (apparently). It was raining since morning, so I had Genghis Khan at 10 o'clock. They say you can't take a bath before climbing if you eat first? Well, it can't be helped because of the rain, right? The meat was frozen lamb (it's been a while) and it was slightly thick. I was happy to see that the vegetables included cress and shepherd's purse that were picked at the foot of Mt. Hakken! It was incredibly delicious. The sky cleared up at the mountaintop, and when I came down, other customers were eating outside. I'm envious!

Hakkenzan (´∀｀) On a certain holiday. It was a nice day with good weather, perfect for outdoor activities! I had come to Hakkenzan to go fruit picking, but to my surprise they were not doing autumn fruit picking here (´；ω；`) I didn't know! I really wanted to eat some plums (´；ω；`) But the kids saw the sign for a fishing pond and their eyes lit up! "I want to do it!" (´д｀) Well, that's how it goes. I wanted to go to another fruit orchard for fruit picking, but we ended up at the fishing pond instead. 1 fishing rod for 500 yen. We were told we could keep fishing until the bait ran out. We decided to rent two rods and started fishing! There were quite a few people fishing at the pond. I didn't catch anything (´д｀) We took a break at a mountain hut and had some soft serve ice cream from Suzatta. I chose the vanilla and chocolate mix. The shape was so uneven, it was disappointing (´д｀)(´д｀) Here, you can also enjoy outdoor barbecues, and the smell is tempting (´д｀) Makes you want to eat! Resisting the temptation, we went back to fishing (´д｀) There are areas on the hill where you can do horseback riding, and it's a great place to enjoy on a sunny day. We didn't catch any fish, but the kids had fun catching frogs in the pond (´д｀) Thank you for the meal!

I enjoyed canoeing after a long time and was heading back to the city before the traffic jam started when I came across this place. It's a detour where you can go fishing and have a BBQ! Of course, I had to stop by. The view of the beautiful mountains in the background was amazing! I tried fishing, catch and release, which was a bit sad, but I spent some time there. I caught some crucian carp and apparently there are big koi fish too. Then, it was a late lunch time. I had a Genghis Khan set for two with rice balls on the side. The vegetables seemed to be freshly harvested from around here. The eggplant may not look great, but it tasted amazing! I thought I might need some extra rice balls or pickles, but the amount was just right! Eating outside really makes the food taste better! I also had a crepe as a bonus and was completely satisfied. It was a great day off!

In July 2013, I visited a fruit picking farm with my company on a Saturday excursion. We took a big tourist bus and arrived at the farm after about 50 minutes. We listened to the instructions on cherry picking and then eagerly started picking and eating cherries. I couldn't eat as many as I thought I could, but it was still fun. We also had a cherry seed spitting contest. After cherry picking, we enjoyed a delicious lamb barbecue lunch at a Mongolian barbecue hut on the farm. The lamb was cooked with vegetables and sauce, and it was really tasty. After lunch, we took a walk around the farm and I fed some carrots to the horses. The horses were big and a bit intimidating, but they enjoyed the carrots. There were also goats and ducks on the farm, which was very relaxing to see. Overall, it was a great experience and I would love to visit again if I have the chance.
