Hokkaido report (lol) I watched the YouTube video of "Bob Ore no Tokachi Meshi" and visited "Ishiusoba KABUTO" in Obihiro! I arrived around 12:00 on Sunday for lunch and there were a few other customers, but we were seated right away! The parking lot was in front of the shop and on the side of the building. Inside, there was a counter with about 10 seats, a few tables for 2, and a few tables for 4, so there was plenty of seating. For groups of 5 or more, they could combine tables, which was nice. Since it was my first visit, I decided to try their signature dish, "KABUTO (Spicy Meat Dipping Soba) for 1,100 yen." I couldn't resist ordering something with the restaurant's name in it (lol). The dish arrived in about 5 minutes and it looked delicious with plenty of greens and bell peppers on top of the soba noodles. It also came with extra spicy oil and soba broth. The soba noodles had a great aroma and flavor, and the spicy meat dipping sauce was amazing! The pork was tender, and the combination of green onions, sesame, and spicy oil was fantastic. I couldn't stop eating! I also added extra spicy oil for more flavor. I finished with the soba broth and it was a satisfying meal. The tempura also looked delicious, and I'm curious about their creative dish "Tomato Caprese Soba." It was a truly delicious meal! Thank you.

Visited around 1:00 pm. There were three groups of customers before me. Two older ladies were warmly welcoming guests in the restaurant. I ordered the "Kabuto" and the new menu item, "Kakiage Oroshi". The dishes arrived in about 10 minutes. Both dishes looked great! The "Kabuto" is soba noodles served in a hot and spicy soup. The flavor is strong, but you can easily dilute it with soba broth. The soba noodles were firm and had a good texture. The "Kakiage Oroshi" is tempura served with a dipping sauce. The sauce was not too salty and had a good flavor. The tempura was delicious as well. The customer service was good, and the atmosphere was relaxing. This is a restaurant that I like.

I ordered the Kabuto (spicy meat dipping soba) for 1100 yen just before noon. The restaurant quickly filled up with customers and became full. It's a popular place! The dish arrived about 10 minutes after ordering, looking vibrant and delicious with seaweed, vegetables, and lemon sesame generously piled on top of the noodles. The dipping sauce is soy sauce-based with a hint of chili oil, not too spicy but just right, making the flavor rich and allowing the noodles to soak it up well. The staff's attention to detail is great and the atmosphere is nice.

I wanted to eat soba, so I went to Kabuto-san. This time, I managed to take a photo without eating again. The restaurant has a beautiful appearance, and the service by the staff is excellent. I was expecting a lot. I thought I would only have soba, but as I looked at the menu, I ended up hesitating and ordered the Chibi Ebi Tendon set, which was recommended on the wallpaper. I could choose either Soba or Inaka (country style), but this time I chose Soba. Here it is. The soba looks beautiful. It has a good texture and is easy to eat. The Tendon also had a variety of ingredients including small shrimp, shishito peppers, mushrooms, and chicken tempura. Before I knew it, I had finished it all. I wanted to eat more, but I left for another opportunity. It was delicious.

I was looking for a restaurant open for lunch on New Year's Eve and found this place. It was quite crowded. I ordered the spicy meat dipping soba. It wasn't very spicy, and it had a slightly hot pot-like flavor which I liked. You can choose between morekase soba and inaka soba, and I found the inaka soba to be more chewy and delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I had been curious about the soba restaurant Nobori for a while. I remember it was a different shop before, right? I was surprised to see that the front parking lot was empty, so I thought the restaurant would be empty too, but it was actually quite crowded. It's nice that you can also park diagonally in front of the shop, isn't it? I was intrigued by the Nobutagobou (850 yen) on the menu, so I ordered it. It's great that you can choose between Inaka and Sarashina soba. This time, I chose Inaka since it's warm soba. Recently, the soba with burdock tempura I've been eating had thick and satisfying tempura, but here it was sliced tempura. The combination of the flavor of burdock and pork was exquisitely delicious. The soba broth was a bit sweet at first, but it turned out to be just right. Looking at the menu, the tendon set and other items seem to have good value, so I'd like to visit again soon.

This is a soba restaurant that opened inside a photo studio. The interior feels more like a trendy café than a traditional soba shop. I arrived around 1pm and was told they were out of rice. The menu had a variety of options, from typical hot and cold soba dishes to unique choices like spicy meat dipping soba. Since it was a hot day, I wanted cold soba and was hoping for the shrimp tempura rice bowl set, but they were out of rice. I ended up ordering the spicy dipping soba. I was expecting it to be cold, but the dipping sauce was warm and the noodles seemed thinner than I expected. It was tasty, but personally, I feel like soba noodles don't pair well with this type of dipping sauce. I think they would taste better with regular dipping noodles or udon. Next time, I'd like to come back when they have rice and try the shrimp tempura rice bowl set.

In Golden Week 2021, I went to Obihiro. My in-laws didn't say anything when I mentioned going out for lunch, probably because it was the day we were heading back to Asahikawa. In other words, they don't care as long as there is no risk of COVID-19 infection for themselves. So, we went to "Soba Restaurant Kabuto" in Obihiro. It's rare for me to have soba. After eating a lot for dinner at my wife's parents' house, I was craving something light. When we arrived, the restaurant was about half full but gradually got busier. This is the real Kabuto, getting crowded, Kabuto Deco, just kidding! I was craving something light, but just having soba would definitely cause indigestion, so I chose a set meal. I got the Small Shrimp Tempura Rice Bowl Set for 1,000 yen (tax included). You can choose between soba served on a plate or in a bowl, and I chose the plate. You can also choose between Soba and Inaka (country-style), and I chose Soba. Yum! The soba has a good texture and tastes great. It's been a while since I had delicious soba. The Small Shrimp Tempura Rice Bowl is also tasty! The shrimp tempura is nice and crunchy. The sauce may be a bit strong, but I'm still satisfied. This place is a good soba restaurant!

This is Kabuto-san. I love the soba here. I sit at the table and look at the menu. I simply order the "zaru soba for 780 yen." After a while, it arrives. The thick soba noodles are glossy and chewy. Oh! This is it! The dipping sauce is rich and complements the soba well. I finish with soba broth and leave satisfied! I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal!

Checked my food log, searched for saved places, checked Google Maps, and let's go! Arrived at the photo gallery, I've been here before to take pictures! Surprisingly, there is plenty of parking space. Upon entering, they asked us to leave our shoes on. The spacious interior mainly consists of table seating, with a wide variety of menu options. What should I choose? I decided on the "Weekday Limited Menu - Mini Shrimp Tempura Rice Bowl Set for 1,000 yen" and the delicate Soba noodles. The Soba noodles arrived promptly, and I enjoyed dipping them in the finely chopped green onions and wasabi. The Mini Shrimp Tempura Rice Bowl was generous in portion size, with plenty of tempura on top of the rice. However, any more rice would have been too much to finish. Both the portion size and taste were satisfying. My companion raved about the "Country-style Soba with Soup" being excellent. I'll have to try it next time! A delicious soba restaurant has opened up! Thank you for the meal!

I visited during the day. The parking lot in front of the store can accommodate 5 cars, with additional space for a few more on the north side. As soon as you enter the store, there is a step up, but you are greeted with "Please come in with your shoes on." I sat at an available table. There are 2 tables for 4 people, 5 tables for 2 people, and a central table for 8 people in the store, which can be used for multiple people or solo diners. I ordered the "Toji Soba" for 750 yen, and my companion ordered the restaurant's specialty "KABUTO Spicy Meat Tsuke Soba" for 930 yen. The KABUTO option comes with "Inaka Soba (thick noodles) only. The dishes arrived quickly as more customers entered the store. The Toji Soba tasted exactly as expected with a gentle texture to the soba noodles. The KABUTO Soba had toppings like mizuna, green onions, paprika, chopped nori, sudachi, white sesame seeds, and pork on top of the noodles. As we ate, we got used to the spiciness, and it became less noticeable. Adding a few drops of the red liquid from the separate bottle made the dipping sauce look like chili oil. The spiciness was there, but it didn't seem to add much flavor. They refilled our water before it ran out, and provided aprons upon request, showing good customer service. The interior still retains the atmosphere of a former photo studio. Although I haven't personally used it, it is a studio with a 98-year history, so I'm sure many people have fond memories there. It could be a nice opportunity to look back on the past while enjoying soba.

Of course, it's my fault for not researching properly, but I came to Obihiro to eat Kabuto soba after winning. Today, I thought, "Let's eat soba with a smile and go back instead of complaining after eating ramen in Obihiro yesterday and having a hard time." I heard that a new soba restaurant opened, so I was looking forward to it. I wasn't expecting anything, but when I arrived, the parking lot was quite full, so I thought I might have to wait. The restaurant had a shoeless setup, but there were no shoe racks, which was strange. I was led to a counter-like table for seven people when I said I was alone. The other tables were for two people, two four-person tables, and a bench seat along the wall. There were two waitresses in the hall who seemed busy and had high-pitched voices. A shrine-like decoration caught my eye, which I thought was for decoration, but then I realized it might be for taking group photos. I ordered the "Inaka to Sarashina" soba. When the soba arrived, I was surprised to see that it was thick. I wondered if it was a different type or if others were eating Sarashina soba. The soba was firm, not chewy, and had a clear water-drainage. The soba lacked sweetness and had a weak flavor. The broth was served in a small cup, which I usually don't like, but it was actually delicious. The broth had a strong umami flavor, which was impressive. The soba was too thick to slurp, and I missed the aroma of soba while slurping. The soba was more of a chewy type rather than a slurping type. I like the aroma of soba that passes through my nose when slurping, but this one lacked it. The soba broth was served with the soba, and it helped cover the lack of flavor in the soba. The soba broth was delicious, and it was served in a pot, which allowed me to shake it well before pouring. The soba broth was not very flavorful, but it complemented the soba well. I enjoyed the soba broth and the meal overall, despite the disappointment with the soba. The service was excellent, and I left feeling satisfied. I would rate it 3.7, ignoring the quality of the soba.

I went to Kabudo, a soba restaurant in Obihiro! It was my first visit. It seems to have opened this month, so I went there right away. The restaurant is spacious and the menu is relatively simple: cold soba, bukkake soba, warm dipping sauce with cold soba set for 650 yen including tax. I ordered the set and waited for about 6 minutes. The soba arrived and it looked like a hearty country-style soba. It had a good chewiness and a slight aroma. The soba noodles were slightly twisted and maintained their shape, giving a satisfying texture. The dipping sauce was rich and flavorful, with a good balance. I enjoyed adding a little wasabi and green onions while savoring the soba. The portion of soba was quite generous for the price of 650 yen including tax, making it a great value. Another delicious soba restaurant has appeared in Obihiro. Thank you for the meal!

Today is my birthday (*・∀・*)ノ (lol) It's hot, and I checked out a shop I was curious about based on a review from Haru Taichou, whom I admire on another site, so I decided to visit Kabuto, a soba restaurant in Obihiro for the first time (^-^)/ The location is along Nakajima Street, next to Tokachi Ryutsu to the south, inside Nakajima Shashinkan. The exterior looks like Nakajima Shashinkan, a two-story building with tiled walls. The inside of the restaurant is spacious and clean, with 5 tables for 2 people, 2 tables for 4 people, and 1 long table for 7 people. It's 11:06 am. There is one customer in front and 4 customers behind me. I asked for their recommendation and ordered the Torigobou Seiro for 980 yen (tax included) since it comes with both hot and cold dipping sauce. It arrived in about 9 minutes. The soba is Marunaka Seimen stone-ground 80% buckwheat, thin but strong in texture, well-drained, and very delicious. ・Hot Torigobou Dipping Sauce: It comes with 6 large pieces of chicken thigh meat, rich in chicken broth, and very delicious. ・Cold Soba Dipping Sauce: It has a mild sweetness, just the right amount of saltiness, and a strong umami flavor, very delicious. It's my favorite dipping sauce. They also provided soba-yu in a pot after I finished drinking water, and the staff's customer service is pleasant. Next time, I will come to try the Toriten Soba. Thank you for the meal m(__)m

I visited the newly opened soba restaurant, KABUTO, which I had been checking out on Instagram. Located near the "Ofune Park," inside the Nakajima Photo Studio, the restaurant has a carpeted area raised by one step where you can enter with your shoes on. The interior feels more like a corner of a photo studio lobby with tables set up, rather than a traditional soba restaurant. There were a few customers waiting, but we were seated promptly. The menu is expected to expand in the future, but for now, it was a bit limited. I ordered the "Chicken Tempura Soba" for 1080 yen. I later noticed that the "Spicy Meat Dipping Soba," which I saw on Instagram, was actually the "Country Soba (thick noodles)." The dish arrived surprisingly quickly, in about 8 minutes. The soba noodles were firm and had a smooth texture, made with 80% buckwheat flour. The broth was mild and flavorful, not too sweet, just to my liking. The condiments included green onions and wasabi. The chicken tempura seemed to be made from chicken breast, thinly sliced and well-seasoned, so it was delicious even without dipping it in the broth. It was served with shimeji mushrooms and bell peppers on the side. The dipping sauce was served cold, and I enjoyed it with grated daikon radish and ginger. Each table had a pot of soba-yu (soba cooking water) for you to pour into the dipping sauce. Overall, the soba was decent for this time of year. The "Country Soba (thick noodles)" turned out to be made with 11% wheat flour, and despite the busy atmosphere, the staff kindly answered my amateur questions about the noodles. The restaurant aims to serve traditional and modern flavors, with a focus on quality noodles, to make customers happy. Thank you for the meal.
