I was invited by the hostess to enter the restaurant. I decided to go with the three-color bowl where you can choose 3 out of 10 types of sashimi. I chose sea urchin, salmon roe, and crab. They were all fresh and the portion was amazing. As a bonus, they also served crab miso soup and grilled scallop. It was fantastic!

This is a shop located slightly off the Hakodate Asaichi market. I had the three-color donburi with abalone, crab, and ikura, which was priced the same as the four-color donburi. The rice here was not vinegared. When you order a donburi here, you can choose a bonus item like scallop grill from several options. Including the bonus, it is quite reasonable compared to other places in Hakodate Asaichi.

Whenever I go out to eat, I always end up here. I've been to various places, but I always come back here. The best thing about this place is that they don't push you to order more. Other places keep suggesting things like "Why don't you try the squid noodles?" or "Would you like to order this too?" It can get annoying. Especially at popular places with multiple locations. But here, it's quiet. I always get the sea urchin, salmon roe, crab, and abalone bowl. It's incredibly delicious. The prices have gone up a bit, but it's still under 2500 yen, which is reasonable. The rice is also delicious. As a service, they give you a choice of grilled fresh oyster, scallop, clam, or squid with butter. I chose the clam. I was surprised to see the scallop served in its shell, but it was delicious. I will definitely be coming back here.

We were attracted by the generous owner and visited with 9 people. Each of us received a complimentary serving of clam, scallop, and fresh oyster - our favorites! The donburi where you can choose 4 out of 10 toppings, along with delicious soup, only costs 2,080 yen. Such a great deal!

I had my last breakfast in Hokkaido at Hakodate Market, enjoying a special set meal with grilled salmon and raw squid for ¥1320. They also brought me scallops and abalone as a "service" at the end of the meal, which was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast was very luxurious, but it took a bit long to be served, so if you're in a hurry, it might be a bit frustrating. The atmosphere was laid-back and fun, with moments like when my companion was waiting at the register and the kitchen staff called out to the cashier, "Mom, we need you!" and she misheard it as "What, a draft beer?" Overall, the grilled salmon and raw squid were delicious, and the scallops and abalone as a service were also very tasty. It was a great way to end my enjoyable trip to Hokkaido. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

In Hakodate, I had breakfast at the morning market. Most of the shops were closed because it was Wednesday and the market was closed. I was recommended by a man to try a particular restaurant, and he promised to give me a freebie of my choice. I ended up getting fresh oysters and clams as a bonus. The breakfast menu was mostly seafood, and I ordered the following items: - Custom Four-color Donburi (shrimp, scallops, sea urchin, salmon roe) - ¥2090 - Custom Three-color Donburi (squid, sea urchin, salmon roe) - ¥1870 - Grilled Cod Set Meal - ¥1320 - Buttered Potatoes - ¥550 I chose the Four-color Donburi, which was very colorful and satisfying. My sister had the Grilled Cod Set Meal, which also came with a bonus of fish belly. The portion sizes were just right, and the self-service coffee was a nice touch. By the time we finished eating, more customers were coming in thanks to the friendly service of the restaurant.

I miss the time before the self-restraint~(;o;) A gourmet trip to Hakodate, Hokkaido (*≧∀≦*) Upon arriving in Hakodate, I first ate sea urchin, salmon roe, and seafood♪ I immediately enjoyed fresh squid and Hokkaido beer, the best (*´∇`*) It was delicious and fun with reasonable prices and even some extras (*^^*) Looking through photos, I started to miss it (´;Д;`) #HokkaidoGourmetTrip #HokkaidoGourmet #HakodateGourmet #GourmetInstagram #tabelog_yopi #ToBeContinued

Continuing with the record of wandering around Hakodate Morning Market. After satisfying ourselves with grilled scallops and beer, we stumbled upon a shop selling cut melon. The staff at the shop called out to me, asking "How about some delicious melon?" So, I decided to try it. The melon was indeed delicious, and the price was reasonable. It was a convenient and tasty dessert option. Although the shop primarily sells rice bowls, the cut melon was surprisingly good, making me feel like I got a good deal. Overall, the shop had good customer service, and I may consider revisiting in the future.

Next to Hakodate Station, there is a donburi restaurant. The owner casually asked if I wanted to try it, and I ended up saying yes. This was my first meal in Hakodate. I chose the Sansei Donburi, where you can pick your favorite ingredients. I chose squid, sea urchin, and salmon roe. The sea urchin had no bitterness and was delicious. The squid and salmon roe were also tasty. I also ordered 4 fresh oysters for 1000 yen. They were served with bottled lemon, but the oysters tasted great. The oysters were slim and may not be suitable for those who prefer plump ones. Overall, it was a delicious meal.

I visited various morning market stores, but I like this one the best. They have abalone for just over 2,000 yen. Other stores sometimes have empty crabs, but here it's all good. The sea urchin is also fresh without any preservatives. With abalone available and high cost performance, this place is great.

Saltwater sea urchin grilled fish set meal with grilled cod, squid sashimi, sea urchin and egg over rice, miso soup with grated yam and kelp. A cost-effective restaurant where you can choose ingredients at the morning market and enjoy a meal at the shop.

A restaurant near Hakodate Station, located at the back of the market. It seems to be geared towards tourists, but it's not particularly clean. The prices are not cheap either. I visited during a late lunch time, when other shops were closed. I ordered a three-color bowl, with sea urchin, salmon roe, and salmon flakes. It's nice that you can choose the three colors, but the taste was just okay.

I chose the three-color bowl with shrimp, scallops, and tuna. Today, I chose tuna because it was said to have the best quality. The tuna was not lean but fatty, which made it incredibly delicious. I was completely satisfied with this bowl from morning.
On September 18, 2018, there was an earthquake in Hokkaido, but I wanted to contribute by eating and drinking a little. The last day started at Hakodate Morning Market. Please try some samples! Would you like to buy some crab? The sales pitch from the shopkeepers is intense. But I already know what I want to eat. Uni, scallops, and surf clams! There's no way they won't be delicious! Since I was heading back to Tokushima, I had to give up on having beer.

The last meal in Hokkaido was at Hakodate Morning Market. The main street was crowded with foreign tourists. I wanted to eat seafood bowl at the market, but it was so busy... I decided to take a look around first. Since it didn't seem like I could eat leisurely, I was about to give up and head back to the parking lot when a friendly lady with a dog invited me inside with a smile, saying "Please come in with your dog." Inside the shop, everyone spoke only Japanese, but the mothers inside were friendly. They recommended scallops for today. So, I ordered a three-color bowl with sea urchin, salmon roe, and scallops. The scallops were so plump and sweet, the salmon roe was well-seasoned with soy sauce, and the sea urchin was delicious too! There was plenty of each, and the scallops were huge. Is it really only 1500 yen for all this? I am very satisfied.
