I went to Memanbetsu Airport to pick up the usual uncle. He always seems to dislike me because I come at a time when he can't take his lunch break. But he always treats me, so I have no complaints. I don't usually eat lunch, but I wanted to eat soft serve ice cream. The airport was bustling with activity, and I love pork skewers, so I wanted to eat them there. The last airport I visited was Wakkanai Airport. It was quite lonely there, similar to Chubetsu or Mombetsu. I couldn't find any shops or restaurants open, so I decided to try "Sodane" soda-flavored candy. It was a timely choice, considering it was a popular phrase at the time. When I opened the package at home, I found leaf-shaped candies that tasted like soda. They were shaped like mint candies, but I enjoyed them nonetheless.

Inside Memanbetsu Airport, there is a souvenir shop specializing in seafood. I purchased some items to enjoy at home, mostly as accompaniments to my drinks. The shop offers various services, making the prices seem reasonable. The salted flounder was a good size and satisfying to eat. The cut of herring was consistently delicious. It paired well with the Tosa-Tsuru sake I had at home.

During this 3-day weekend, I went back to Hokkaido... On the last day at New Chitose Airport, I had only 1 hour before departure and no time to waste. I needed to buy souvenirs for a few groups... I had already decided on the shops in advance, so I quickly made my purchases. Now, off to the security checkpoint! "Oh, I forgot!" I bought souvenirs for the adults but forgot to buy for the little ones. "Soda Candy! That's right, I have that famous candy in my bag." But, will the little monsters be satisfied with just this? This Soda Candy was a souvenir from the long-legged uncle. He handed it to me in a cool way, just like Tatsuya Nakadai handing it to Hiroshi Tachi. I remember a previous exchange with someone... After searching through the timeline for 30 minutes, I found it. "Soda Candy!" Who was that just now? Oh, it was from a Christmas post. I seem to be asking for it in the comments. Back in Sendai, when I handed it to the little ones, they were thrilled. "What's this?!" They were so excited. No matter how many local Puccho or Black Thunder I bought before, the little monsters never seemed happy. But now, they came running over, enjoying the candy and saying "It's delicious, delicious." Souvenirs are not about the price, after all. This special candy that can make even crying kids happy! I might buy it again next time I visit home. Thank you so much!

This is a review of a gift I received in February 2019! I expressed my desire for it and they gave it to me! It's a fun way to try anything (*´∀`) It actually came from a kind and fashionable trendsetter ← just kidding, I'm just messing around with the character. It's a clever play on words with soda and "soda ne" (that's right). I was starting to forget the phrase "mogu mogu time" (munching time) (´∀｀;) It's a beautiful light blue color. It would have been nice if it was in the shape of a curling stone, but for some reason it's in the shape of a leaf. It's sweet and delicious.
