You can opt for the extra-large size for an additional 100 yen, which is a good deal considering the delicious taste and generous portion. The only downside is the cost.

The restaurant is spacious and clean, with an elegant touch from the orchids on display. I ordered the Toast Set (600 yen), choosing the white bread option and a cup of coffee. The set came with butter and strawberry jam. The butter was soft and easy to spread. Personally, I found the bread a bit disappointing, almost like it had been reheated. I managed to finish it, though. The salad was average, and the coffee had a slightly bitter taste, like it had been sitting for a while. Overall, the restaurant has a clean and calming atmosphere with polite service, but I would recommend opting for the roll bread instead. Thank you for the meal.

After finishing up some errands nearby, I decided to stop by. Well, this Sapporo Sun Plaza opened in 1986, but it was my first time stepping inside the building. I thought it was a copy of Nakano Sun Plaza, but it turns out both were originally built and operated by the same Employment Promotion Corporation. Of course, things have changed over time. Personally, I always associate this place with the former Horokita Depot of the Sapporo Streetcar line... and there's even a real Sapporo Streetcar No. 248 car parked nearby like an ornament (laughs). But the destination sign reads "Kyōiku Daigaku-mae"... shouldn't it be "Kita 24-jō" here? And when I tried to enter, being a complex facility, the entrance was... for the restaurant, you have to enter from the front entrance of "Sapporo Sun Plaza" (laughs). Well, with facilities for swimming pools, concert halls, cultural classes, accommodations, restaurants, meetings, training, banquets, etc., this place falls under the restaurant category. I visited during lunchtime around 11 o'clock, so there weren't many customers yet. A waitress, not a staff member, guided me to a counter seat and handed me the menu. I was drawn to the mapo ramen, but... I remembered hearing that the Gomoku Ankake Yakisoba was tasty and filling. With such a wide menu, it's hard to decide. Then I noticed the weekly lunch specials. From July 4th to 8th, there were two options: a limited 20-serving "Squid Tempura Rice Bowl and Soba Set" and a "Seafood Cream Omurice," both priced at 1,000 yen including tax and served with coffee or oolong tea. I ordered the Seafood Cream Omurice with oolong tea. It arrived in about 5 minutes. With a generous amount of white sauce, it didn't look like omurice at first glance. The seafood cream contained large prawns and scallops, accompanied by shredded lettuce and carrots salad, and a consommé soup with wheat gluten. The white cream wasn't overpowering and had a light taste. The chicken rice... well, it was also light. But it seemed a bit lukewarm. Nothing stood out too much, so it wasn't bad. There is also a public office attached, and it used to be known as a luxurious hotel in the past. It's an old establishment, but it's well-maintained and a wonderful hotel. The front desk service is also friendly. And the parking lot is large, which is nice. Only 660 yen per night! Normally, at other hotels, you have to take your car out when checking out, but guests can leave their cars parked for the entire checkout day without any additional charge. The restaurant in this hotel seems to offer delicious food. I stayed alone, but my wife and son are with me. The atmosphere of the restaurant is like a family restaurant, making it easy to enter. It's a clean place. The staff are friendly and have a nice way of speaking. Recently, I've noticed that the service at family restaurants, following the manual, is polite in words but not in speech, making it hard to understand. Hotel restaurants are indeed better. The menu is extensive, offering soba, tempura, fried foods, hamburgers, and more. My son had already decided on the Mega Doria from the menu in front of the restaurant. This is probably meant to be ordered and shared by several people, but it's 800 grams, so it might be just right or a bit small for a growing teenage boy (a high school freshman heavily involved in club activities). I was hesitant and ended up ordering the appetizer set. The fact that they serve Premium Malt's draft beer is great. Each item in the appetizer set is of good quality. The edamame beans are plump and flavorful. The pickled radish and pickled vegetables are not overly salty, but tasty. The fried potatoes are not just reheated, but fried crisply in oil. The chicken pieces are small but delicious. The beer quickly disappeared. "I'm going to walk a bit and do some shopping. What should I do for the second drink?" I was a bit hesitant, but the staff immediately asked, "What will you have next?" So, I had to go for a refill. I really wanted someone to encourage me. My son's Mega Doria. It's quite big. I don't really understand 800 grams. But it's definitely large. It seemed hot and delicious as he happily ate it. I also had a spoonful and it was delicious. Of course, my son easily finished it. He was saying, "I could still eat some grilled meat," but he seemed to be a bit concerned about the calories, so he called it quits. A hotel restaurant that is clean, has a sense of cleanliness, provides pleasant service, and is not too pretentious is hard to come by. It's just my cup of tea. I ordered the white wine set for the first time. It includes one beer or sake, an appetizer, and one snack from the set. I chose the pork Jingisukan udon as the snack. I think it's a good deal for 1100 yen.

I had a beer and fried chicken set meal for dinner. It was at a Suntory God Foam Master store, which is one of my favorite places because of its quiet atmosphere. The fried chicken had a crispy coating and paired perfectly with the beer.
