Yesterday (9/8), after enjoying a delicious bowl of ramen at "Ramen Yui" near Kintetsu Osaka Line Shuntokumichi Station, I hopped back on the Kintetsu train and headed to Kubojiguchi Station. I visited this restaurant located near the station. A while back, I had visited "Chuka Soba Fukuhara" near Shuntokumichi Station, but found a note saying "Today, open for dinner only" posted on the door, so I sadly turned back (my mistake for not checking on SNS). However, yesterday, the restaurant was open and there was a line of three people waiting outside, with more joining later. After a short wait inside, I took a seat at the left end of the counter, ordered the "Chicken Paitan Shoyu Ramen (800 yen)" (no ticket machine), and the bowl arrived promptly. As expected, the soup was a creamy yellow color with thin noodles peeking through, topped with what seemed to be chicken thigh chashu, menma, wood ear mushrooms, and chopped green onions. Taking a sip of the soup, it was not as thick as it looked, but had a delicious flavor typical of a good chicken paitan broth, confirming the high reputation of this restaurant. The noodles were not firm but had a chewy texture that blended well with the soup, making it quite tasty. The large chashu and thick menma were good, although I prefer the wood ear mushrooms to be chopped rather than whole, and I wished there were more green onions. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful dish and despite it being my second bowl of ramen yesterday, I finished it all with satisfaction, marking a successful revenge visit.
