- Pork ginger stir-fry had a normal taste and normal meat quality. It was seasoned with a sauce similar to the one you can find at the supermarket, something you could easily make at home.
- The Five-Ingredient Soba (hot) had ingredients such as half a boiled egg, fish cake, spinach, seaweed, and nori. The soba noodles were green noodles typical of the Kushiro region. They were cooked soft. The broth was slightly sweet with a subtle bonito dashi aroma. The richness was normal.
Overall, the restaurant had a clean and spacious interior with ample seating. The service was decent, handled by a motherly figure. The taste was quite ordinary. The only advantage seemed to be not having to go through the trouble of cooking and cleaning up. However, the prices seemed a bit high for the taste and portion. I visited around 2:00 PM craving for curry cutlet, but they were already sold out. Perhaps curry cutlet is popular here? I hope to come back someday for a curry cutlet revenge.

In June 2022, I was curious about the pork cutlet curry, so I went to Nihonbashi in Kushiro-cho. I ordered the pork cutlet curry with extra rice. The portion wasn't that big, but the dish was served on a large plate. The pork cutlet was delicious and went well with the curry, which had a rich flavor. The portion wasn't too large, so I had to pace myself to make sure I didn't end up with just rice left at the end. I finished it all in no time and left feeling satisfied. The restaurant was quite busy during the lunch rush, but I enjoyed my meal. Thank you for the delicious food.

On this day in June 2022, I had a solo lunch at "Soba Restaurant Nihonbashi." It's been about 12 years since I last visited, so I decided to give it a try. Since it was early in the opening hours, there was no one else there. I sat at the counter and placed my order. After much contemplation, I decided on the tempura soba. The restaurant was surprisingly spacious, reminiscent of old drive-ins or traditional Japanese restaurants. The soba broth had a slightly sweet flavor, typical of Kushiro-style soba broth. Although I used to not be a fan of this sweeter broth, living here for a while seems to have changed my taste buds. The soba was delicious and had a comforting, familiar taste. I always feel like the atmosphere here is a bit subdued, but the menu variety and reasonable prices make it a good choice. Next time, I'll try the pork cutlet curry. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

During an outing, I looked up a nearby soba restaurant and decided to visit since I rarely have the chance to do so. The interior had a nostalgic and traditional feel. It was quite crowded that day, with receipts from the register even falling onto the floor. The staff seemed a bit flustered. The menu offered not only Japanese dishes but also Western cuisine. However, being Japanese, I opted for the traditional dishes like cold sansai salad, five-ingredient chicken, and zaru noodles with mushrooms and grated daikon. I was also intrigued by the new menu item, the grilled meat set, but I didn't need rice. The taste was gentle and reminiscent of the past. The soba noodles were slightly soft. As I observed the customers from my raised seating area, I witnessed a brave soul ordering a large curry and soba all by themselves... and they finished it all! Impressive. And right after that, their mask's elastic broke during payment, causing a bit of a commotion. It was endearing. The restaurant's curtain is almost invisible now...

Visit date: November 10, 2019.
Lunch on this day was at the Nihonbashi Betsuo store with a friend. We arrived around 14:20. There were 2 groups of customers before us and 2 groups after us. The waitress (not a young girl, but a nice lady) was friendly and pleasant.
We ordered:
- Oomori (large serving) for 850 yen
- Zaru (cold noodles) for 800 yen
The food was served in about 5 minutes. The Oomori and Zaru were typical green soba noodles from the Kushiro region. The taste was like chlorella. The noodles had decent firmness. We noticed that the dipping sauce for the Oomori and Zaru was different. The Zaru sauce was sweeter and richer in flavor. The portion size looked the same for both dishes, probably due to the different sizes of the bowls. The soba broth was somewhat cloudy. Pouring it into the Zaru sauce made it taste even better. However, the bowls were a bit too wet.
They accept payment with PayPay, but unfortunately, we couldn't use it.
Overall, it was a decent meal. Thank you.

The timing was a bit off, but when we passed by the restaurant that seemed closed, my partner and I decided to give it a try. The interior was spacious with plenty of tatami seating. I decided to try something new and ordered the vegetable tempura soba, while my partner went with the tempura with chicken. The dishes arrived quickly, and my vegetable tempura included eggplant, bell pepper, lotus root, and fish cake tempura. The dipping sauce was rich and flavorful, complementing the thin green soba noodles well. I wish I had ordered a larger portion, but the hot soba was delicious. The only downside was the slightly higher prices. My partner enjoyed the chicken tempura as well. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I will go for the Nihonbashi course! The food is delicious, but I would like them to provide a wet towel.

I ordered a set meal with the restaurant's name, but there was no main dish to go with the rice. It's difficult for me to have rice with just soba as the main dish. Also, it was expensive. Disappointing.

I wanted to have some soba for lunch and visited this place. The menu mostly consisted of sets priced between 1200-1600 yen. I expected the soba to be special.
- Menu: Oomori
- Price: 800 yen (feels expensive)
- Noodles: Green noodles, thin, but the large portion was small
- Broth: Salty
- Impression: Overall, it felt like a miss. I understand why there were no customers even on a Saturday afternoon. Personally, I cannot recommend this place.

National Route 44, heading towards Nemuro, there is a large signboard on the left side. I always thought I would like to go in someday, while I continued to visit the "Trial" supermarket. This time, in the afternoon, I went in with my family. The parking lot is spacious, and there are always cars parked. The interior of the store is spacious, with raised seating around the windows and a counter set in the center, which families would appreciate. This time we had:
- Ebi-Ten Soba (Shrimp Tempura Soba) for 1200 yen
- Curry Nan Soba for 900 yen
- Butadon (Pork Bowl) for 1000 yen
The soba dishes had the standard green noodles of Kushiro, with a strong and slightly thin noodle. The Ebi-Ten tempura was a bit small for the price, but the Butadon was delicious. The sweet sauce, thin pork slices, and generous portion of 8 slices made it very satisfying. The Butadon is grilled over charcoal, which was a nice touch. The Curry Nan Soba had a thick and rich curry flavor with a strong dashi taste, which was the highlight. There were quite a few customers dining with friends, family, or colleagues.

I went to a soba restaurant, but it was closed. It was lunchtime and everywhere was packed. I ended up coming to this spacious restaurant, Soba Restaurant Nihonbashi Betsuho, located on the outskirts of town where they can accommodate large groups. I parked my car in the spacious parking lot in front of the restaurant and entered the large building. Inside, there were counter seats in front and many raised tatami seating areas on the right and left. Despite it being lunchtime, there were relatively few customers, so I opted for a raised tatami seating area. I looked at the menu and ordered the "Shrimp Tempura Soba" (1200 yen). On the table, there was a plastic white ladle in a cup. But this isn't ramen. After waiting for 10 minutes, the Shrimp Tempura Soba arrived. As expected, there was no ladle included. The shrimp was small. 1200 yen? Hmm... The broth was... well, average. The shrimp had tails that were around 10 centimeters long. The soba was green, typical of Kushiro (Chlorella?). I took a bite of the soba... What is this? I've never experienced this texture before. How should I describe it... slimy? mushy? Overcooked? Stretchy? Midway through eating, I realized that most of the soba was torn. There were 30-40 pieces of soba, each about 1-2 centimeters long, at the bottom of the bowl. I scooped them up with the ladle and ate them. Just because a restaurant is spacious doesn't mean it's a good choice. Disappointing.

The store has a large, eye-catching sign and a grand appearance. With parking space for 60 cars, you can safely drive there. This time, I ordered the "Chochin Bento" for 1400 yen. It includes pork bowl and tanuki soba, with pickles and green onions on the side. The container for the Chochin Bento is interesting, with the soba on top of the pork bowl, but when carried, the soba broth seeps into the bottom of the pork bowl and spills onto the tray. As for the food itself, the pork bowl was disappointing, with thin slices of pork and just a hint of rice at the bottom. Disappointed, I tried the soba, but it was not satisfying - the soba was not firm and had a rough texture. I don't think I will come back for this again. Perhaps the set meal at Nihonbashi would have been better. In Nihonbashi, you can get warm tanuki soba, mixed soba, and white rice for 980 yen.
