Originally, even before it became Hotto Motto, the bento boxes were delicious, especially the hamburg steak. This time, I tried the Hamburg Steak & Kalbi BBQ Bento for 680 yen. The hamburg steak was well-seasoned and quite tasty. It had a simple yet irresistible flavor that makes you crave it occasionally. The Kalbi BBQ was juicy and flavorful, maybe a bit too rich for someone in their 50s, but it's so delicious that you can't help but say "yum." It perfectly fits the image of a certain gourmet talent who enjoys good food. For this price, you get a satisfying and filling meal. The Beef Hamburg Bento for 450 yen is a classic bento option, with a delicious hamburg steak and a bit of vegetables and pickles. Under the hamburg steak, there's spaghetti, and next to it, there are some potatoes. It's a great value for dinner. The Special Karaage Bento with crispy fried chicken for 430 yen is affordable and tasty. The salt spice and lemon juice give it a light and delicious flavor. The vegetable dressing is also tasty, but it might lack enough vegetables. The pickles are also minimal. Is the spaghetti under the fried chicken necessary? The Hamburg BBQ Bento for 620 yen offers a decent portion size and a reliable taste of BBQ. Today, on September 28th, they are selling the Korean Deluxe Bento for 520 yen, which seems spicy. The BBQ Combo Bento for 390 yen is also quite good! The BBQ is well-seasoned, and the rice is tasty. The fried chicken also has a strong flavor, and the beef croquette has a simple yet beefy taste. There are some vegetables as toppings. To consider health, adding a vegetable salad for 90 yen would be a good idea. In times when salaries are decreasing, bonuses are lower, and taxes are rising, the 390 yen price tag is a friend to the common people, like the Moonlight Mask or White Horse Kid... old references! Anyway, Hotto Motto is a lifesaver. On March 17th, I tried the Special Karaage Bento, but I'm starting to get a little tired of it. It's delicious, but apart from the special menu items, it might become a bit repetitive. The mentaiko takana bento with scrambled eggs is a good addition to the bento box as a side dish with a salted flavor. On April 22nd, I had the Special Salt Karaage Bento for 430 yen. It was light and crispy, and the yuzu salt was delicious. Some say the rice is too soft. The fried chicken bento is always a hit!
