I purchased this for lunch on my day off! I always have a hard time deciding because they have so many menu options, but this time I saw the image of the tartar sauce and it looked delicious, so I decided on this right away! The Chicken Tempura Tartar Sauce and Ginger Grilled Bento Box (tax included 480 yen) had less tartar sauce than I expected, which was disappointing. The chicken tempura was tender and delicious! The ginger grilled dish was not too sweet and very tasty! Bento shops are really convenient, I will definitely use this place again. Thank you to "Satotsuka Store"! #(^.^#)

I visited this place for the first time to buy my dinner. I ordered the Pork Cutlet Bento Box for 470 yen with a small portion of rice for an additional 20 yen. I also got a Mini Udon (with meat) for 110 yen, Fried Potatoes for 130 yen, and a Morinaga Rich Pudding for 110 yen. I looked at the menu but didn't see any new items, so I decided to go with the Pork Cutlet Bento Box. It was thin and easy to eat, and I was happy that I could get a smaller portion of rice. Since the bento box alone wasn't enough, I tried the Mini Udon for the first time. It was a good substitute for miso soup. They also had fried chicken wings, but I preferred the potatoes. For dessert, I had already tried almond jelly, so I went with the pudding. It had been a while since I had Morinaga pudding, and it was delicious. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

▼Location▼ Located along National Route 36, it is 350m towards Chitose from the intersection with Atsubetsu Chuo Street on the left side. ▼About the Shop▼ Hotto Motto (website) Formerly the largest franchise company of Hokka Hokka Tei, Plenus, which became independent after a family dispute, is now one of the largest bento chains. ▼Menu▼ There are various bento options available, including meat and fish dishes. For more details, please refer to the above website. ▼Food Consumed▼ - Nori Bento 330→290 yen (November 2017) On weekdays, it is discounted to 290 yen. This long-selling item has been carried over from the Hokka Hokka Tei era. It consists of white fish fry, chikuwa tempura, kinpira, and pickles on top of rice. The perfectly cooked white fish fry has a good balance of flavors and the chikuwa tempura is also well-fried. Despite being frozen ingredients, the simple flavors make this a delicious bento. ▼Impressions▼ (November 2017) Plenus, the former leading franchise company of Hokka Hokka Tei, has become an independent bento chain and is now one of the major players in the industry. They actively engage in developing new bento menu items, sales, and various strategies. The Satetsuka branch is one of three stores in Kiyota Ward along National Route 36. I stopped by to buy a bento while shopping in this area. The nori bento is priced at 290 yen with the weekday lunch discount, which is still a great deal. Hotto Motto continues to evolve not only in terms of bento offerings but also in online ordering services. As Hokka Hokka Tei is becoming increasingly rare, I hope Hotto Motto will continue to evolve in the future.

Let's buy a bento from "Hotto Motto Satotsuka Store," which I haven't used for years. This place is located near a super delicious udon restaurant and a super delicious hamburger restaurant, so the frequency of use tends to decrease. However, today, due to work reasons, I will be having a takeout meal instead of eating out. I parked my car in the spacious parking lot shared with the reasonably priced hamburger restaurant and entered the store. However, when I saw the Secom lamp in the windbreak room, it was indicating an emergency. I quickly informed the receptionist, but they seemed confused. The store's manager, who had received an emergency contact from Secom, was already on their way, and I informed them that the security guard would arrive soon. The situation seemed a bit more serious than I had initially thought. After reporting to the store manager, it seemed that everything was under control. I ordered only the Chicken Nanban side dish for 400 yen. I returned to the office and had it for lunch. The set came with two types of sauce, a special salad dressing, and a sweet vinegar sauce. The chicken was just a regular processed meat, injected with meat juice to make it unnaturally soft and juicy. It's fine as long as you don't pay too much attention to it. The sauce was salty and added a nice flavor to the "getti" noodles that the chicken was placed on. The salad was finished quickly after pouring the dressing, but there was a puddle of water at the bottom of the pack. I was satisfied with my meal for 400 yen. Thank you for the meal.

On July 4, 2015, it was sunny and I was relaxing at a nearby hot spring when I received an email from my son saying that he was feeling unwell and coming home. Although I told him to take it easy, I decided to buy some food for him as I had never heard him say he was feeling unwell for many years. He said he wanted curry, so I bought some eel rice bowls from a nearby store as my son loves eel. They were 240 yen each for 5 pieces of salt-flavored and sauce-flavored eel rice bowls. They would be ready in about 10 minutes. In the meantime, I went to the Seicomart next door to do some shopping. When I gave the eel rice bowls to my son, he happily ate them. They came with sauce and sansho pepper. His temperature was over 38 degrees, which surprised me, but I was relieved to see that he had an appetite. He preferred the sauce for the chicken wings. The next day, thanks to the medicine, my son's fever went down and he went back to his club activities energetically. Thank you for the meal. In April 2015, I visited this bento shop located on Route 36 after a long time. It was nice to have freshly made bento. They usually take 7-8 minutes, but this time it was quite crowded on the holiday. So, I decided to choose some bento boxes from the pre-made selection. I usually like the seaweed bento, but they didn't have it, so I tried the fried rice bento. The fried rice was delicious and fluffy, more than I expected. Since they were pre-made, I couldn't taste the freshness, but I still prefer the seaweed bento the most. I also like the sweet sauce on the chicken. The fried potatoes were affordable, but by the time I ate them at home, they had become soggy. Thank you for the meal.

I like the chain restaurant called Hotto Motto in Satzuka, Kiyotake District. The bento boxes here are cheap and delicious, and my favorite is the standard Noriben. The Noriben includes fried white fish, tempura chikuwa, pickles, and kinpira gobou, making it a tasty and filling bento box. The fried white fish is topped with tartar sauce, which pairs perfectly with the mild flavor of the sauce and the fry. I also enjoy the karaage bento and hamburger bento, which are also cheap and delicious.

Originally, even before it became Hotto Motto, the bento boxes were delicious, especially the hamburg steak. This time, I tried the Hamburg Steak & Kalbi BBQ Bento for 680 yen. The hamburg steak was well-seasoned and quite tasty. It had a simple yet irresistible flavor that makes you crave it occasionally. The Kalbi BBQ was juicy and flavorful, maybe a bit too rich for someone in their 50s, but it's so delicious that you can't help but say "yum." It perfectly fits the image of a certain gourmet talent who enjoys good food. For this price, you get a satisfying and filling meal. The Beef Hamburg Bento for 450 yen is a classic bento option, with a delicious hamburg steak and a bit of vegetables and pickles. Under the hamburg steak, there's spaghetti, and next to it, there are some potatoes. It's a great value for dinner. The Special Karaage Bento with crispy fried chicken for 430 yen is affordable and tasty. The salt spice and lemon juice give it a light and delicious flavor. The vegetable dressing is also tasty, but it might lack enough vegetables. The pickles are also minimal. Is the spaghetti under the fried chicken necessary? The Hamburg BBQ Bento for 620 yen offers a decent portion size and a reliable taste of BBQ. Today, on September 28th, they are selling the Korean Deluxe Bento for 520 yen, which seems spicy. The BBQ Combo Bento for 390 yen is also quite good! The BBQ is well-seasoned, and the rice is tasty. The fried chicken also has a strong flavor, and the beef croquette has a simple yet beefy taste. There are some vegetables as toppings. To consider health, adding a vegetable salad for 90 yen would be a good idea. In times when salaries are decreasing, bonuses are lower, and taxes are rising, the 390 yen price tag is a friend to the common people, like the Moonlight Mask or White Horse Kid... old references! Anyway, Hotto Motto is a lifesaver. On March 17th, I tried the Special Karaage Bento, but I'm starting to get a little tired of it. It's delicious, but apart from the special menu items, it might become a bit repetitive. The mentaiko takana bento with scrambled eggs is a good addition to the bento box as a side dish with a salted flavor. On April 22nd, I had the Special Salt Karaage Bento for 430 yen. It was light and crispy, and the yuzu salt was delicious. Some say the rice is too soft. The fried chicken bento is always a hit!

Sometimes I don't feel like eating out, and cooking seems like too much trouble...but I also don't want to settle for the mediocre deli foods at the supermarket. In those moments, I turn to frozen foods. I know they're not the healthiest option, but compared to convenience store bento boxes, frozen foods are more affordable and have better taste. Some places even offer low-priced bento boxes during events. They may not be the most delicious, but depending on the situation, this kind of store can be quite necessary.

Visited for the first time on July 19, 2021 [Takeout] Today is a day when my wife will be coming home late. She said she already ate dinner and will be back, so I decided to go out on my own. After finishing work, I had something I wanted to buy, so I extended my trip to the area in Kiyota Ward. And the place I stopped by to get some snacks for when my wife comes home was here! Hotto Motto Satzuka Store It's still a long time until my wife comes home when I return. I need to get dinner for myself too. I ordered the tonkatsu from the "Plus Karaage" that I had tried before at the Kuriyama-cho store. It's just the side dish. With this, I should be able to pass the time until my wife comes home. After purchasing, I will return home immediately. It hasn't cooled down yet, so I'll eat it as it is~ Actually, I haven't really tried putting mustard on tonkatsu before. But since it came with it, I decided to try it out. I also put the sauce that came with it on top and ate it. To cut to the chase, mustard goes well with tonkatsu (^^♪ I even wonder why I haven't used it until now (laughs). The karaage came with spices, so of course I put them on top. Adding karaage seems to work well with tonkatsu as it doesn't come with any unnecessary extras. But I can't help but miss that gooey pasta that comes with it at the Kuriyama store (laughs). In the end, it turned out to be a perfect snack for my drink. I am a frequent customer at the Kuriyama store, but trying out items from other stores once in a while is also nice. Well, if we don't support these stores, it will be difficult to explore new ones during this pandemic. It was delicious!! Thank you for the meal♪
