味噌ラーメン(札幌)

I had white miso ramen. The soup was rich with a strong miso flavor and a hint of vegetable sweetness, surprisingly light yet deliciously savory. The medium-thick curly noodles were firm and tasty. The chashu was flavorful and meaty. The retro Showa era atmosphere with no smoking allowed and sunken seating area was family-friendly and enjoyable.

For lunch today, I went to "Men-ta" which has been around for a long time. I don't remember the taste as I visited before starting my food blog. The restaurant is located on the second floor, and there was a lunch service sign at the top of the stairs, which seemed like a good deal. I decided to try their popular dish, the "Shiromiso" for 800 yen, and added a mini curry bowl for an additional 100 yen as part of the lunchtime service. The food was ready in just over 5 minutes, which was quite fast. The soup was a thick tonkotsu broth, very salty and not sweet. The noodles were medium-thick Sapporo-style, a bit too firm for my liking. The chashu was tender and tasty. The mini curry bowl was also quite salty, but I realized it was homemade. The boiled egg was very cold, stored in the refrigerator. The salty ramen was edible without any additional toppings. Overall, I felt full after eating, but I found the high salt content a bit challenging for me. I probably won't revisit this place. Thank you for the meal!

The lunch menu on the first floor has parking for 3 cars. The most popular dish seems to be the White Miso Ramen for 800 yen. It is made with medium-thick noodles from Kobayashi Seimen, chicken and pork bone broth, and white miso. Although it looks like white miso, it tastes delicious. It has the sweetness of onions, green onions, ground meat, and thick slices of chashu. There is no sesame or ginger, and the noodles were cooked just right. Also, it comes with a boiled egg for some reason. The miso ramen has a strong flavor but doesn't leave a lingering taste in the throat, which might be why everyone says it has a refreshing aftertaste.

When I was doing business in Sapporo, I had eaten here a few times. I visited after a long time because I had some business nearby. The most popular choice was white miso, but I decided to go with soy sauce. The soup was rich and salty. It had onions and minced meat in it, giving it a nice depth of flavor. The chashu was thick slices of pork belly, slightly sweet but tender and delicious. The noodles were firm and springy medium-thick curly noodles from Kobayashi Seimen. They had a good chewiness and mixed well with the soup. Personally, I felt the saltiness was a bit strong, but it was tasty. Next time, I'll try the most popular white miso flavor (lol).

No... This is not a time to be laughing. Today in Sapporo, it's damn hot. The temperature gauge at Sorachi Credit Union is showing 31℃. On top of that, unlike last week, there are no clouds. In such weather, are you going to take a walk to Kotoni today? Kotoni was once known as a fierce battleground for ramen in the early days of Heisei, but I wonder what it's like now? Well, there are quite a few shops, but are there any shops that are touted as super famous? Personally, my favorites are the Chinese soba shop, the one where you can eat for a coin, and the delicious soba shop, but there are about twenty-four shops in total. As for the initial plan, when I arrived at the shop for Plan A, it was closed. Oh well. Once I got to Kotoni subway station, the shop I haven't visited yet is... this one, right? It's a three-story building with a parking lot on the first floor and the shop on the second floor, a somewhat unusual layout. The interior is quite spacious with table and counter seats. There was one male customer already dining. I sat at the counter and first looked at the menu. The recommended items seem to be the "miso" ramen, with options like "white miso," "combined miso," "spicy miso," and "super spicy miso." During lunchtime until 3 p.m., the curry bowl, chashu bowl, and pork ginger bowl are each discounted from 200 yen to 100 yen. I ordered the top menu "miso" and the lunchtime special curry bowl. However, there are many mysterious items displayed on the counter, which seems to be the shop owner's hobby. The miso ramen and curry bowl arrived in about 5 minutes. The curry bowl is a mini size in a small tea cup. The appearance is not much different from the ramen. And for some reason, a boiled egg was included. The noodles pulled out from the soup are medium-thick curly noodles cooked slightly firm. The soup is rich in color but not too heavy in taste, leaving a light aftertaste. In front of me, there is a newspaper clipping that says "rich yet light aftertaste," and it's true. The shop has been in business for 22 years. It must be because they have a certain number of loyal customers. Thank you for the meal.

I really like the traditional miso ramen here♡ The soup is rich and flavorful, but not too heavy, and the chashu is like braised pork, chunky and tender, very delicious! A boiled egg is included as a bonus. I have found a new favorite ramen spot in Sapporo! Check out more details here☟ Koto-ni "Ramen Menta" popular No.1 white miso ramen is delicious! The grilled pork is also excellent♡

Today, I went out and had lunch at Men Ta in Kotoni. The menu is very simple, but I accidentally ordered the miso ramen instead of their recommended white miso ramen. Oh well, there's not a big difference anyway. After ordering the ramen, I couldn't help but be intrigued by the curry rice bowl (200 yen). I debated for a bit and decided to wait and see how filling the ramen was before ordering it. In less than 10 minutes, my food arrived! It comes with a boiled egg. I'll pass on the curry rice bowl. The presentation is simple, but the soup is incredibly rich in miso flavor, with just the right amount of fat and it's exactly to my liking. Even without trying the white miso, this is really good. It's so delicious that I can finish the soup to the last drop. It's more like a rich miso hot pot soup than ramen soup. It's perfect for a cold day like today.

I came here because it looked like there was parking available. The first floor is a parking lot, but there was a shutter shaft which made it difficult to enter. I ordered miso ramen with extra green onions, and it arrived in a few minutes. The first thing I noticed was the amount of green onions added as a topping... it was a bit disappointing. The soup was very salty, and I couldn't really taste the flavor. There was a chunk of ground meat at the bottom of the bowl. Maybe the most popular white miso would have been tasty? There were many question marks about this place.

Located near Kotoni Station in Kotoni area, this ramen restaurant is on the second floor of a building with parking space on the first floor. I visited for lunch while shopping nearby. The interior has a retro atmosphere with counter and table seats. The staff work efficiently, so the turnover is good. I ordered the popular "Shiromiso Ramen (780 yen)" and the lunchtime special "Small Rice (50 yen)". It was ready in 6-7 minutes. The Shiromiso soup was a mix of rich and light flavors, easy to eat. The medium-thick Sapporo noodles were slightly firm and paired well with the soup. It had an old-fashioned miso ramen taste, which I enjoyed and finished quickly. The prices were reasonable, so I'd like to revisit and try the "Spicy Miso" and "Curry Rice". Recommended for those who like traditional miso flavors.

- Miso ramen, 750 yen + curry rice bowl 100 yen (lunchtime special) The curly noodles from Kobayashi Seimen are served in a rich miso soup with a slight thickness that is delicious! The sweetness of the sautéed vegetables, along with the right amount of miso, creates a rich but not too heavy balance. It's quite filling, and just this alone is enough to satisfy your hunger! The curry rice bowl is a mini size, usually priced at 200 yen, but during the lunchtime special until 3:00 pm, it's only 100 yen, so I ordered it! The curry has a flavorful broth and is also delicious. Thank you for the meal!

On a certain weekday, due to unavoidable circumstances, work was slightly improved and I was able to have lunch at a ramen shop in Koto-ni, Nishi-ku. The parking lot can fit about 3 cars below the shop. The interior of the shop on the second floor, accessed by climbing the stairs, is not very spacious, but it has a good mix of counter and unconventional table seating. The background music is a mix of TV and FM radio. The menu indicated that the Shiro Miso ramen is the most popular, but for the first time, I decided to try the Shio Ramen (730 yen) and the Curry Rice Bowl (200 yen, 100 yen for lunch). Let's take a bite... The noodles are a thick, yellow curly type with a firm texture. The soup, which looks rich, is full of savory flavors and depth, possibly from a base of animal broth simmered to perfection. The toppings include stir-fried bean sprouts, onions, ground meat, green onions, flat menma, thinly sliced wood ear mushrooms, and chunky, chewy pieces of char siu. Next, the Curry Rice Bowl, priced at 100 yen, is quite filling and the curry is a thick, sweet and spicy type with a hint of bonito. The rice is firm and the meal ends with a cold boiled egg. I suddenly felt that I wanted them to stick to this original soup style for their ramen. I enjoyed the meal.

Today, I visited Mentaro's ramen shop for the first time. Although I knew there was a ramen shop nearby, I had never been there before. The parking lot under the shop can only fit three cars, and it was full, so I had to park at the nearby Times parking lot. Inside the shop, there are counter seats, regular tables, and even raised seating areas, making it suitable for families with small children. I ordered the most popular dish, the white miso ramen. Unlike typical white miso ramen which is light, this one was rich and creamy. The noodles were thick and satisfying to eat. I discovered a traditional, rich and creamy ramen that was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I finally visited a ramen shop that I have been wanting to go to for a long time. The shop has a parking lot for 3 cars, but it may be difficult to park as it faces a busy street. The shop is run by a couple in their 50s and 60s. I ordered the No.1 white miso ramen (750 yen) and a small bottle of Asahi beer (480 yen). The ramen had a rich flavor and was very delicious. The ground meat added a nice touch to the aftertaste. The medium-thick curly noodles paired well with the soup. The ramen also came with a boiled egg (fully cooked), which was served with the shell on so you can peel it and eat it whenever you like. My companion ordered the spicy miso ramen W (810 yen), which comes in three levels of spiciness: regular spicy miso ramen (750 yen), extra spicy (780 yen), and spicy miso W (810 yen). Even for those who love spicy food, the spicy miso W can be quite numbing, but the soup still retains its umami flavor, making it addictive. I would like to try the blended miso or spicy miso on my next visit.

The popular No.1 dish at this restaurant is the white miso ramen lunch set, but I couldn't resist trying the tempting Chashu Don lunchtime special which combines noodles and rice. The white miso ramen features a rich pork bone-based soup with medium-thick curly noodles. The noodles seemed a bit too salty, likely due to the high salt content in the soup. While the noodles had a strong texture, the saltiness didn't quite blend well until I finished them all. The soup, on the other hand, was still salty but the saltiness seemed more balanced compared to the noodles. This dish is perfect for those who enjoy a strong, bold flavor. The Chashu Don was also on the salty side, but when combined with the richness and umami of the white miso soup, it became a deliciously addictive dish. The combination of miso soup and white rice is quite addictive, making you want to come back for more. Overall, I had a vague memory of visiting this place a long time ago when it was under a different name. The experience was memorable enough to make me want to come back for more of their delicious ramen. It's raining heavily outside, so I couldn't walk around and decided to have a training session at the gym instead. I'm exhausted and craving carbs... Ramen it is! I found a new ramen shop called "Ton Ta" or "Men Ta". I ordered miso ramen with a mini chashu bowl. I kind of regret it now, but oh well, I'll walk back home in the rain to burn it off. I have a positive attitude, so I don't dwell on regrets. The ramen arrived with a boiled egg on the side. The soup is basic miso flavor with a decent amount of oil. The noodles are medium thickness and firm. The chashu is a bit tough. The menma is thick but soft. I warmed up the cold boiled egg in the soup. It's pretty good, like Sapporo ramen. The mini chashu bowl is a bit lacking in toppings. I mixed the boiled egg and chashu into the ramen. Overall, it satisfied my carb cravings! Now, time to walk back home. Thank you for the meal!

Spicy tsukemen with double portion of noodles and green onions, topped with chashu. The seafood-based soup was deliciously spicy. The chashu was tough and didn't quite complement the tsukemen.

This is a rich miso ramen. It is very delicious. The yellow noodles typical of miso ramen have a great chewy texture. The rich flavor is perfect for cold days. On the other hand, the gyoza had a refreshing taste.

My spouse and I visited this restaurant. It seemed more like a local ramen shop rather than a place for young people, so we were hesitant to go in at first... Inside, it had a warm and cozy atmosphere, which made us feel relaxed. The white miso ramen was delicious and had just the right amount of flavor.
