I entered the restaurant right at the 11:30 opening time. It seemed like the elderly owner was running the place alone, as there were still preparations being made. The tables were clean, but the overall atmosphere was that of an old countryside Chinese restaurant. I ordered the Seafood Fried Rice, which had squid, shrimp, and scallops. There was only one scallop, but the squid and shrimp were generously included, giving the dish a good texture. The sauce had a nice thickness and flavor. If they can offer this kind of quality, then it's more than enough.

This is my first time at Sansuien. I didn't check the reviews on Tabelog beforehand. After looking at them later, I noticed that the MyRebi keipon rating was low! They have both five-ingredient fried rice and crab fried rice, and surprisingly, the crab fried rice is cheaper (゚o゚) I ordered the five-ingredient fried rice, crab fried rice, spring rolls, zangi, and a bottle of beer. First, the zangi arrived. The outside was crispy, but the inside was a bit dry. It was a well-seasoned zangi that went well with beer. Next, the spring rolls arrived. They were quite dark. I ate them with vinegar and chili oil. The skin was crispy, and the spring rolls were flavorful and delicious. Then, the fried rice arrived. I see, now I understand. The five-ingredient fried rice had shrimp, scallops, and squid in it. The crab was hardly noticeable, so I wonder if they used imitation crab? They don't need to emphasize "crab" in the name. But the fried rice tasted delicious. It was a bit salty, but it went well with beer. Overall, the food was on the salty side and paired well with beer. It was a Chinese cuisine that was flavorful and enjoyable.

On January 8, 2021 (Friday), I had a lunch at a restaurant in Kushiro, which was hit by heavy snow. The city was in chaos with cars stuck everywhere. Some food and beverage establishments were temporarily closed, but this particular restaurant was open with the owner working hard to clear the snow in front of the store. I ordered the "Fried Rice and Ramen Set (Salt flavor)" which was delicious. The salt ramen was simple and had a standard taste. The fried rice was well-cooked and not oily, with just the right amount of salt and pepper. It was a great meal. When I paid, I had a chat with the owner about the heavy snow. He seemed like a really nice person. I feel compelled to support such a restaurant.

I went to Sansuien for the first time! I found out about it from a review by Mairebi in Kushiro. The crab fried rice looked delicious, so I decided to go try it myself. I ordered the crab fried rice for 700 yen and the mixed fried rice for 890 yen. The crab fried rice seemed like a good deal, but I ended up choosing the mixed fried rice. It had shrimp and scallops in it. You could hear the sizzling sound as they cooked it. It took about 6 minutes for them to serve it with soup. The soup tasted like ramen broth. The fried rice was delicious, with small pieces of char siu pork in every bite. The seasoning was just right, not too dry but more on the fluffy side. The shrimp were plump and sweet, and the scallops were tender. There were also squid pieces in it, making it quite luxurious. It was a bit pricey, but the shrimp and scallops made it worth it. The fried rice was really delicious. Next time, I'll try the ramen. Thank you for the meal!

I entered the restaurant without any expectations and was pleasantly surprised! The fried rice was moist yet crispy and delicious. It was a five-ingredient fried rice with plenty of shrimp, which was great. The sweet and salty flavor of the miso sauce with the slightly small portion of the sweet and sour pork was also delicious.

Visit date: May 27, 2020
For dinner on this day, my companion and I visited Sansuien. We arrived around 19:40. There was one group of customers before us, and no customers after us.
We ordered:
- Fried rice and ramen set for 820 yen
- Gyoza (6 pieces) for 500 yen
- Rice for 200 yen
It took about 20 minutes for our food to be served. The fried rice and ramen set came with fried rice, ramen, and fresh vegetables. I chose soy sauce ramen, while my companion chose salt ramen. The noodles were thin to medium thickness and lacked flavor. The soup tasted like it had MSG. The salt ramen was a bit too salty. The chashu had a salty taste and a slight hint of meat odor. The fried rice was light and flavorful, which I liked. My companion's fried rice had something chunky in it, maybe eggshells?
The fresh vegetables were just that, fresh vegetables, not like a salad.
The gyoza had thin skins and were filled generously with meat. They were juicy and delicious, but the condiments on the table were sticky and affected the flavor.
The restaurant had a friendly owner who seemed to enjoy chatting with customers. He was handling everything alone, which seemed challenging. Overall, it was a decent meal.

◆October 2014◆ This is a Chinese restaurant located in Sakura-ga-oka in Kushiro. I used to live in Kushiro about 10 years ago and I would occasionally get takeout or dine in at this restaurant. This time, I suddenly felt nostalgic and decided to visit again.
[About the Menu]
They offer a variety of typical Chinese dishes such as mapo tofu, sweet and sour pork, fried rice, and shrimp chili. I used to enjoy the five-ingredient fried rice and the yakisoba with thick sauce. One special feature of this restaurant is that most items on the menu can be ordered in half portions. The set menus are also very affordable, making it a budget-friendly option. I recommend ordering a few half portions to enjoy a variety of dishes at once.
[What I Ate]
- Mapo Tofu (spicy) half portion: Plenty of green onions and a thick, spicy sauce. It tastes great when poured over rice.
- Deer meat sweet and sour pork: The deer meat is tender and well-prepared, with no gamey taste. The seasoning is rich and it goes perfectly with rice.
- Autumn salmon in chili sauce: A seasonal limited-time menu item with generous slices of salmon in chili sauce. It has a home-cooked, casual Chinese flavor. The owner and staff are friendly, making it a cozy place to dine. It was very nostalgic. I hope this kind of restaurant continues to thrive.

"Sansuien" I am alone in Kushiro, Abashiri was sunny but it changed completely at Koshimizu Pass, Kushiro is cloudy. Today is an early day for my wife so I will go back early, but until then I will continue to struggle. I tried to get takeout fried rice, but the restaurant did not answer the phone. I thought they might have closed, but when I called again, they answered. I ordered one fried rice for takeout and went to pick it up. The lady was busy making three dishes, and I wondered if she was related to the three brothers who run another restaurant. The fried rice was a bit expensive at 800 yen, and it turned out to be crab fried rice instead of the regular fried rice I ordered. The taste was okay but not great, and the price felt too high for what it was. Overall, it was an unusual experience."
