The lunch at the Sasaki family restaurant. Originally, this place was run by Capricious-san. I think it was designed with the concept of being able to eat Western food while overlooking the coast. However, perhaps the location was not good. It's difficult to enter, with a curve in the opposite direction when approaching by car. Due to the decisive impact of the coronavirus pandemic, it closed down and became a vacant store, but Katsu-ya moved in. The interior remained the same, so it felt a bit strange. However, there were people dining for lunch. The lunch menu offers a choice of tonkatsu or shrimp fry, with rice and miso soup. The taste was satisfactory. I wish the cutlet was a bit bigger. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a tonkatsu restaurant that opened in July 2022. It is located near Nanako Hamakaihin Park with plenty of parking. A great dining spot with a view of the sea. It was crowded during lunchtime, so we had to wait a bit. We were seated shortly after and our food arrived in about 20 minutes after ordering. The seating consists of 9 tables for 4 people each, 1 table for 2 people, and a long counter table with a view of the sea divided by partitions into 3 two-seater sections. There are about 40 seats in total. I ordered the lunch set that started in August. Despite it being a tonkatsu restaurant, I chose the cheese-filled option. It was crispy and delicious with a light cheese flavor. Starting from August, they also offer takeout including appetizers, which might be convenient for a beach day. The view is amazing, but the summer sun can be hot. The staff was thoughtful and lowered the blinds, but it was still hot. I was surprised by how cool it was around the cash register area.

Open sale is currently taking place at a location called Moto Capriccio. It's the best location with a view of the sea. The first installment of the open sale, the pork cutlet and shrimp fry set meal, is now only 790 yen! And the portion is amazing. The shredded cabbage piled high, of course, comes with miso soup, and you can even get extra rice! My daughter ordered the chicken nanban set meal, which came with six large pieces of chicken... By the end, she was tired from eating so much, haha. Families and men alike will surely be satisfied here. I definitely want to come back to this place.

I tried the tonkatsu and seafood katsu restaurant that took over the former cafe with a view of the sea at Nanakoshima. I ordered items such as fried horse mackerel, crab cream croquette, grilled sesame mackerel, and simmered pork cutlets. I found the prices relatively reasonable and the food good, but it may be challenging for this restaurant to differentiate itself from a certain chain restaurant in Hakodate in terms of menu offerings.
