I had lunch at the cafeteria "Donguri" inside a gaming facility along National Route 12 in Honcho, Takikawa City. I decided to try the "Fried Horse Mackerel Set Meal for 580 yen," which is not commonly offered in this type of cafeteria. I purchased the meal ticket from the vending machine and handed it to the staff. They asked if I was okay with waiting a bit, to which I agreed and waited at the counter seats. Other customers who came later ordered noodles or curry, received their meals quickly, ate, and then returned to the gaming area (laughs). After about 9 minutes from ordering, the meal was served. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations, but the freshly fried "Fried Horse Mackerel" had a crispy coating and tender meat, and was quite delicious. I apologize for not expecting much when such tasty fried horse mackerel can be enjoyed at this price. Looking back, there were three female staff members, so this place might be popular, and other menu items could be delicious too. The cafeteria has long hours from 11:30 to 18:30, and it is located near the main entrance of the facility, allowing for easy access for dining without passing through the gaming area.
