I found a popular plan for staying the night before climbing Asahidake during the autumn foliage season in Hokkaido. It's a wine buffet plan with 7 selected wines chosen by a sommelier. The accommodation and plan were decided right away. The dinner venue opened at 7 pm, and we were seated at our table. The distance between each table was just right, separate from the group accommodations, which was nice. Each table was set with wine and glasses for the wine buffet plan. We toasted with sparkling wine and started. The freshly made dishes were brought to our table based on the progress of the meal, allowing us to enjoy wine and food together. We could choose rice or bread, and I chose bread to enjoy with the wine. I forgot to take a picture of the focaccia, but there was olive oil on the table, which we enjoyed with the wine while waiting for the freshly made dishes, so there was no waiting for food. The dishes focused on the taste of the ingredients, and we were able to enjoy them with the wine. In particular, the silver salmon impadella was lightly cooked in the center, retaining warmth, and allowed us to savor the taste of the salmon with the sauce. The staff kindly asked the chef when we had questions about the dishes, making it a comfortable and hospitable experience. Thank you for the delicious meal. I will visit again when climbing Mt. Daisetsuzan.

After enjoying snowshoeing and skiing at Mt. Asahidake, we stopped by a cozy inn called Deer Valley near the Asahidake Ropeway station. The interior was beautifully crafted with wooden accents, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. For dinner, we were able to savor fresh seafood and delicious meat dishes, along with the rare Edelpils beer.

I came across this restaurant on another site and was looking forward to enjoying the meal based on the reviews. The quality did not disappoint, although it was a bit disappointing that we couldn't spend more time enjoying the meal, perhaps due to the timing. The fish dish and potage were excellent.

The overall rating for lunch (mainly breakfast) is as follows. [Lunch] Overall 3.7, Food/Taste 3.5, Service 3.5, Atmosphere 4.0, Cost Performance 3.5, Alcohol/Drinks - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I stayed at this hotel when I went to see the autumn leaves of Asahidake during Silver Week. About three weeks ago, I made a reservation through a travel agency's website for the "Most Popular No. 1 Dinner Mountain Foot 7 Wine Buffet Enoteca Select Plan; Forest Separate Twin; 1 night 2 meals; 1 room for 2 people; 24,200 yen per person (tax and service charge included; separate bathing tax 150 yen)." I checked in around 5:15 p.m. on Saturday and checked out around 8:20 a.m. on Sunday. The hotel is located in Asahidake Onsen, almost at the end of Route 1160. There are several inns in Asahidake Onsen, but this is the inn closest to the foot of the mountain. From the main road, you turn slightly left onto a side road. It is a three-story building with a triangular roof and a neat appearance. You can see the mountaintop of Asahidake from the parking lot in front of the building. The interior of the hotel has a calm Western atmosphere, giving it a resort hotel feel typical of a highland. It is a spacious building with multiple free spaces in addition to the guest rooms, restaurant, and large communal bath. There is no elevator, and the entire hotel is non-smoking. It was well-maintained and I could spend a pleasant time. The staff were all friendly and polite. However, I felt that there were not enough staff, maybe because they were understaffed. It seems that the hotel was almost fully booked on that day. Nevertheless, with only 26 rooms, it was not noisy. The other guests were families, middle-aged couples, young couples, pairs of men and women, and solo male and female guests. I didn't see any foreigners. [Guest Room] I was assigned to a twin room on the first floor (Forest Separate Twin). It consists of a spacious Western-style room (two single beds, a small table and two sofas, a desk and chair, a closet), a washroom with a shower toilet, and a bathroom. TV, humidifying air purifier, empty refrigerator, electric kettle, and a pot of natural water were all provided. You could see the forest from the window, which was refreshing. The room wear was a work kimono and a sleeveless half-coat. You can wear this to go to the communal bath or restaurant, but it might look a bit unattractive...We only used it in the guest room. [Bath] There is a separate large communal bath for men and women on the second floor (indoor bath only). It is relatively small, but considering the size of the hotel, it is sufficient. The hot spring water is continuously flowing from the source. It didn't have any particular features, but it had a gentle and pleasant bathing feel at just the right temperature. [Dinner] We had dinner in the restaurant on the first floor with other guests. The restaurant has several tables for 2 to 4 people. There was plenty of space between tables. Dinner was divided into two groups, the first half and the second half, and we were in the second half group (7:30 p.m.). The choice between the first half and the second half is based on the order of check-in. We spent about 1.5 hours for dinner. The meal started with "Prosciutto Salad," "Green Salad," and a sashimi assortment on the table, followed by "Bread (Rice also available)," "Sauteed Cod and Scallop," "Beef Steak," "Dessert Assortment," and coffee served in order (the names of the dishes are approximate). The portions were moderate. There was no particular impact, but all the dishes were delicious. The sashimi was surprisingly good. The drink was a "7 types of wine buffet" included in the plan. There were bottles of sparkling wine, 3 types of white wine, and 3 types of red wine available on the table, and you could freely drink without leaving your seat. It was quite exciting. I tried all types, and overall, they were light and easy to drink. I think I drank about 2 bottles in total...I got quite drunk. [Breakfast] We had breakfast in the same venue as dinner. It was also divided into two groups, the first half and the second half, and we were in the second half group.

After climbing Mt. Asahi, instead of returning to Sapporo, we stayed at this hotel. The Yamareco for climbing Mt. Asahi can be found here: https://www.yamareco.com/modules/yamareco/detail-2502996.html "Asahidake Onsen Hotel Diavalle" is a small hot spring hotel operated by the same "Hamano Hotels Co., Ltd." as the Hotel Bearmont in the Asahidake Onsen area. It is located at the foot of Mt. Asahi, in the Asahidake Onsen area, about a 1-hour drive from Asahikawa, the second largest city in Hokkaido. For more details, please check the Tabelog screen. Since it was a long weekend, we decided to stay multiple nights in the Asahidake Onsen area. However, to avoid getting bored at the same hotel, we checked for availability at a different hotel. We found out that we could use the Goto Campaign at the Hotel Diavalle, which is part of the same group. Although we couldn't make a reservation online, when we called, the hotel staff took care of everything for us. At this time, we were able to stay for 16,500 yen including tax for two people in one room, with a 35% discount. It came out to just over 10,000 yen. This hotel is smaller, but the lobby, play hall, rooms, and dining room are all designed in a stylish manner. The hot spring has only one indoor bath, but it is directly sourced from the spring. It was a hot spring hotel where guests could enjoy the flowing hot spring water at any time during their stay. Since there weren't many guests staying, we almost had the bath to ourselves. The hot spring was quite powerful, quickly healing the small scratches acquired during the climb and relieving joint pain. The power of the spring was amazing. For those who want to enjoy outdoor baths and saunas, you can receive a bathing ticket for the sibling hotel, Hotel Bearmont, which is about a 15-minute walk away. Currently, the sauna is closed, and since we stayed there yesterday, we decided to pass this time. After soothing our climbing fatigue in the hot spring water, it was time for dinner. This time, due to virus prevention measures, we were informed that it would be a creative set menu by a French chef. Recently, this type of menu has become more popular. It's convenient, and you can't eat like this anywhere else. Each dish served is the chef's masterpiece. Maybe it's better to stick with this type of dining.

I couldn't resist the temptation of hot springs any longer, so I found a great deal and stayed at this place for the first time. The inn is not very big, but has a stylish mountain lodge feel to it. The room was spacious and comfortable. The meals consisted mostly of dishes to accompany alcohol, but I was satisfied with the main dishes of beef steak and fish. There was a couple drinking a lot of wine, so maybe there's a plan for that. For breakfast, we had a Japanese set meal with French toast, which was delicious. The bath had only one small indoor bath, and some guests seemed disappointed, but the hot spring water was wonderful, flowing directly from the source without chlorine. I heard that if the nearby Bear Monte, which is part of the same group as Lapis Taizanso, was open, they have outdoor baths and saunas that guests can use. It was not open at the time, but it was still a good choice for a casual stay, although it doesn't quite compare to Yumomanso.

I stayed at a hotel in Asahidake Onsen Street, which is an area where the Oobako Hotel is scattered. The hospitality at the hotel was wonderful, and the food was also amazing! Despite being a buffet style, the dishes were kept warm individually and replenished promptly. The Italian chef prepared live dishes, and the variety of menu items was impressive. The quality of the food was excellent, especially the juicy meat cooked to order by a dedicated chef. There was an option for all-you-can-drink wine for an additional fee, which I happily indulged in. The female owner's service was great, and I enjoyed a heartwarming conversation with her. The breakfast was also plentiful and satisfying. Overall, it was a fantastic hotel for those who enjoy good food. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I found a great deal in the newspaper for a hot spring trip and decided to make it my last trip of the year. The mountain lodge-style building is stylish and the atmosphere inside is very quiet and calm since they don't cater to day-trip hot spring guests. I checked in at 3:30 pm and received a free bathing ticket for Hotel Beaumont, which is part of the same group, so I first went there to enjoy the hot spring located 1 km away. When I returned to the lodge, I also used the hot spring there, which was simple with only one indoor bath, but I was able to relax in the water. Now for dinner, both breakfast and dinner are served in the restaurant. I arrived at 7 pm and was informed that tonight's dinner would be a set menu (or buffet depending on the occupancy that day), and it was decent considering the low price of the plan. I was served cod muniere followed by pork loin steak, which was average in taste. The next morning's breakfast was also a set menu, and a freshly made omelette was brought to the table. The breakfast was also average, but I enjoyed it on an empty stomach. This hotel is good for a leisurely stay on a budget. The concierge service was good, and I had a pleasant time.

This restaurant is located on the first floor of the Asahidake Manseikaku Hotel Dia Valley. This time, we decided to visit for the hot springs and the buffet at this restaurant because there was a great deal on the hotel stay. The hotel is small with only about twenty rooms, so you can enjoy the buffet without having to wait in long lines like in a mega hotel. The buffet menu is limited, but most of the dishes make use of local ingredients and everything is delicious with a small but high-quality selection. The salad made with local vegetables is tasty, and the almond jelly dessert refreshes your palate after the meal and is very delicious. The breakfast buffet is also delicious like dinner, and once you try it, you will definitely become a repeat customer.

I stayed at a hotel with a wine buffet package. Dinner was served in buffet style. The wine buffet costs 2000 yen per person, but since it was included in the accommodation package, it was more cost-effective than ordering individually. There were 7 types of wine (3 red, 3 white, and sparkling) available for self-service for 90 minutes. A sommelier from the wine company "Enoteca" selected the wines, and I enjoyed tasting the different flavors. Since the hotel only has around 20 rooms, there was no need to line up, and I could leisurely enjoy the buffet. Although it was a buffet, it was a ticket exchange system (one plate per person) and steak was included. They seemed to focus on using local ingredients, and the mountain vegetable tempura and other vegetables were very delicious. Breakfast was also buffet-style, and everything I tried was delicious. I would like to visit again in a different season.

I visited right after GW. Normally it would be fully booked, but due to the coronavirus, it was not as crowded. The price was probably more reasonable than usual. I had heard that the food was good, and it lived up to that expectation. The dinner course was great, and in the morning, in addition to the Japanese breakfast, they even served French toast, which felt luxurious. The room was clean, and the shared space on the second floor was spacious and relaxing.
