After 13-14 years, I visited Hokkaido and let my local friend choose a restaurant for me. They chose a place within walking distance from my accommodation in Chitose, as I was checking in around 8:30 PM. The dishes I ordered were assorted sashimi, deep-fried corn snacks, hairy crab, salted fish roe, camembert cheese fries, and Shiretoko chicken. Of these, I was most impressed by the salted fish roe, which had no bitterness or strong taste, just delicious. The deep-fried corn snacks were also tasty with a hint of sweetness. The sashimi, however, was a bit disappointing. The service and attentiveness of the staff were excellent. The prices were quite high, so considering value for money, it may be difficult to revisit this restaurant.

My companion and I were seated in a private room. The atmosphere is suitable for dates or business entertaining. On a Friday night in Chitose, the place was bustling with people, seemingly unaffected by the pandemic. Now, onto the main topic. The jumbo grilled hokke (1800 yen) is pricey but truly jumbo-sized, with a perfect amount of fat for a satisfying meal. The tuna was delicious with a hint of fat, while the salmon was a bit too oily - perfect for those who enjoy rich, shiny dishes. The thick cuts offered a decent portion. Drinks are expensive. See the photos for reference. This place may not be cost-effective, but it is perfect for those seeking delicious food. Noteworthy is the excellent customer service, making me want to come back just for that. Despite being a 10-minute walk from home, it feels more like a place for special occasions rather than everyday dining. I will definitely return!

Recently, I have been revisiting restaurants that I haven't been to in a while and writing new reviews. This particular restaurant is a first-time revisit for me. It used to be located in a different place, and I had visited a few times for work gatherings at the old location. The current location used to be a sushi restaurant, but it has been transformed into a "seafood market" for about three years now. The "seafood market" gives off a more upscale vibe compared to other izakayas in the city. It's not a high-end establishment, but it caters to a more mature crowd looking for quality food. I tried three dishes - saba sashimi, octopus tempura, and Shiretoko chicken, along with three drinks - draft beer, sake (Hokkaido's finest), and lemon sour. The total bill came to just over 5,000 yen for the four dishes and three drinks, which is considered a reasonable price range. The saba sashimi was a bit underwhelming for me as it felt slightly under marinated. The octopus tempura was surprisingly filling and delicious. My favorite dish was the Shiretoko chicken, grilled over charcoal with crispy skin and juicy meat. One thing that bothered me was the way they served sake in a small cup overflowing into a saucer, making it difficult to drink comfortably. The restaurant has a spacious counter seat and private booths separated by sliding doors, with proper COVID-19 precautions in place. I visited in mid-December, and the empty restaurant with only one other customer felt quite lonely. The staff's talkative service may be a bit overwhelming for some, but it's just part of the restaurant's style. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would like to try more dishes in the future.

I used GoTo for the first time and visited with a friend for the first time. The menu items we ordered were: Zangi for 880 yen, Hokkaido pork skewers for 400 yen, dashimaki tamago for 480 yen, salmon onigiri for 290 yen, 100% grape juice for 380 yen, and a 500 yen appetizer. The restaurant used to be a sushi place that closed down a few years ago and relocated here. They are now open for lunch if you make a reservation for 4 or more people. There is a parking lot next to the restaurant. The sashimi was excellent (the only seafood dish that day) and we were surprised with a complimentary hair crab (reservation required for up to 3 groups by 6:30 PM). The seafood was delicious, as well as the meat dishes that were also big in size and reasonably priced. The manager, who I initially thought was the owner, is actually a chef according to the reviews on Tabelog. He was very friendly and outgoing. The young staff members were also very humble. Three of them even saw us off as we left. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

This is a izakaya located in Nishiki-cho, south of JR Chitose Station. A friend recommended it and we made a reservation to go. The owner personally picked us up from the station in his car. The restaurant had a traditional izakaya atmosphere with a large private room for six of us. We had various dishes such as Uni Cream Croquette, Potato and Corn Fritters, Crab Miso, Zangi (Hokkaido-style fried chicken), Buttered Potatoes, Buttered Scallops, and Giant Striped Hokke fish. We also enjoyed a bottle of white wine from Otaru Brewery. We shared a Uni and Ikura rice bowl which was delicious, and the crab soup was full of hairy crabs. We were offered a Kin-ki (golden stripe) fish but it was too expensive at 8000 yen. For dessert, we were served sweet Yubari melon. The simple Hokkaido dishes paired well with beer and wine, and the total bill for four of us was 30,000 yen. Despite the low number of customers, the food was delicious and the owner even drove us back.

Stayed in Chitose the night before traveling. Last year during Golden Week, all the shops were closed... so this time, I wanted to make up for it! Checked into the hotel and my wife didn't want to go far, so we decided to visit this nearby place. The owner greeted us outside as he was shoveling snow. It seems like they recently moved here. Maybe it used to be a sushi restaurant...? There is a counter and private rooms lined up. It's spacious but has a calm atmosphere. We sat at the counter. We ordered sashimi and sake, and the Tsubo-sashi and mackerel were delicious. We also had sushi before heading back to the hotel early for tomorrow. The chef was friendly... but it was always empty. I started to worry if Chitose is okay. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. Chitose... other than the airport, it's a bit lonely...

I visited this restaurant during my trip. The seafood and drinks were delicious, but what really stood out was the excellent customer service provided by the owner. I recommend sitting at the counter for a fun dining experience! The sashimi and sushi were tasty, but I was truly amazed by the impact of the grilled mackerel. Personally, the grilled salmon belly was outstanding! I will definitely visit this restaurant again when I come back to Hokkaido!

While looking for fresh seafood, I happened to find this place and made a reservation. The staff was very lively and provided excellent service. When we arrived, the head chef was cheerful and energetic. We went there to celebrate my mother's birthday, and it was amazing. My mother loved it and was delighted throughout the meal. We had to visit multiple places to find fresh clams, but it was worth it. They informed us in advance that the prices were market prices, which made it easier to order. My mother was ecstatic about the deliciousness of the clams. I ordered the tuna, which was also outstanding. We both agreed that we would visit again when we come back to Chitose. I visited the restaurant after seeing Inokari from HiHiJets visit it on a TV show. I stopped by after visiting Chitose Shrine, and all the menu items were delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and I had a really enjoyable time.

I went back to my hometown and had a small drinking party with my classmates at the end of the year. Although there were fewer dishes than I expected, the staff's hospitality made it a fun gathering.

I visited this restaurant for the first time since it moved. The octopus vinegar dish served as an appetizer was delicious. The potato mochi was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the sweet and savory sauce with butter was amazing. I visited with a friend during a homecoming trip, and it was a great place to enjoy the flavors of Hokkaido. The private rooms were also very relaxing. We were warmly and casually seen off when we left, and even though we stayed until the end, we had a pleasant time chatting. I would love to visit again when I come back home.

The sashimi was fresh and the texture was firm and tasty. They have a wide variety of sake options which is perfect. I would like to continue using this place in the future.

This is a restaurant located in the entertainment district of Nishiki-cho in Chitose City. I used it for a farewell party at work, but oh boy, what a disappointment. Here is what we had on the menu: sashimi (salmon, squid, octopus), one small chicken wing, edamame, one piece of fried chicken, french fries, one corn fritter, grilled saury (one per person), boiled sweet potato, one grilled rice ball. That's all for the 4,000 yen all-you-can-drink deal. It was quite underwhelming... I'll leave the rest to your imagination. Furthermore, the service was chaotic with free customers, and even after 30 minutes since the start, we only had sashimi on the table and nothing else. This was a first for me. We were also given warm canned beer halfway through the night. We had a good laugh with lukewarm beer. The taste was not great either, the grilled saury was dry and lacked the usual fatty richness, with a strong bitter taste. The french fries were good though, with a nice hint of sweetness from the potatoes. Thank you for the abundance of fresh seafood and the valuable experience. We had a meaningful time together, sharing our farewells. Well, maybe if you go for the free option, you might get to enjoy a more delicious feast like the one shown in the restaurant's promotional photos...
