Around 10 pm, I visited "Shin Yashokudou" in Sanraku Street, Honcho, Takikawa City for a late dinner. I sat at the counter and ordered the "Chicken Tempura Rice Bowl" for 800 yen, while my companion ordered the "Natto Fried Rice" for 800 yen, and we also got some "Gyoza" for 500 yen. The Gyoza arrived first, followed by the rice dishes after a short wait. The Chicken Tempura Rice Bowl had crispy batter and tender meat, and was quite filling. The Natto Fried Rice was moist and also had a good portion. The Gyoza (5 pieces) had a strong garlic flavor. They have a self-service system for drinks, where you can take alcohol or soft drinks from the fridge yourself (water is available from a server on top of the fridge). I noticed they offer "All-you-can-drink (60 minutes) Lemon Sour for 600 yen" and "All-you-can-eat (60 minutes) for 1,000 yen" which seems interesting. The restaurant is open until late, with the menu humorously stating "Business hours 9 pm until the limits of our stamina" (laughs).
