The lunch buffet was 2000 yen. I remember it being around 1500 yen a few years ago, but with the current situation, I understand the price increase. I wanted to try everything, but it was impossible for me as a middle-aged person. The cheese gnocchi was delicious, and the pumpkin soup was also tasty. I wish they would sell it in retort packs. I am grateful to my friend who called 73 times to make a reservation for us. Let's go again when our schedules match!

I went to the 2023 New Year buffet! Limited to 28 seats!!! It was quite difficult to make a reservation by phone as it was always busy, but my mother didn't give up and managed to make a reservation for us since it was also my birthday. Lunch options were at 11:30 and 12:30, while dinner options were at 17:00 and 18:00. The prices were as follows: Adults: 3500 yen, Elementary school students: 2000 yen, Toddlers: 1000 yen. The meal included a main dish and an assortment of pinchos (you could choose one main dish from a selection of one meat dish and one fish dish). The buffet style allowed us to choose from over 30 items including appetizers, salads, soups, pizzas, desserts, and drinks by ordering on paper. It was a unique experience that we couldn't get anywhere else, making it a special and wonderful time! The atmosphere with candlelight was calming and relaxing, allowing us to enjoy a special moment. Since it was an order buffet, there was no need to go get the food yourself, which also made it a safe and comfortable experience. Thank you for the delicious meal!

This is a wedding venue in Obihiro. I had lunch here. The interior is spacious! I sat at a table and ordered the "Lunch Course Main Meat & Fish for 3,200 yen." The appetizer was chicken followed by soup and bread. Then came the main dish of shrimp and white fish. So delicious! Next was the main meat dish. It was incredibly tasty, tender, and juicy! I felt like I was rich! The final touch was coffee and dessert. The portion was generous and I left very satisfied! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

At the end of the year, we had a lunch year-end party with five colleagues at a stylish restaurant located near the station. The lunch menu included pasta, hamburgers, and soup curry, but since I hadn't had pasta recently, I opted for the Bolognese. It was packed with vegetables, including potatoes which added a touch of Tokachi flair. Among the vegetables, the eggplant stood out. However, the overall seasoning seemed a bit off, and I wished the sauce had more depth. Finally, I had dessert and coffee before returning to the office.

"The Soup" in Obihiro, just the two of us. We decided to try a restaurant that we hesitated to enter when there's only two of us during the day. This is my third attempt at this popular restaurant. The first time, I went alone. When I saw the exterior of the restaurant, I was quite hesitant to enter, but I thought, "It's impossible!" This time, I realized that the restaurant I thought was not suitable for me was actually the florist next door. However, the restaurant I visited today was another one where I felt like it's impossible to go alone. The second time, I went with another person, but the restaurant was closed for a private event. Today, I confirmed on Facebook that it's not closed for a private event. I arrived 30 minutes before the last order time. The restaurant, despite its popularity, only had a few groups of customers near the window. The interior is quite spacious. We were seated and the background music was subtle. The staff were all very friendly. I ordered the "Shrimp and Scallop Tomato Sauce Pasta," while my partner ordered the "Hamburger Plate." I had coffee, and my partner had tea. The coffee was made from an espresso machine. My pasta came with an appetizer, while my partner had a salad. The appetizer was fish wrapped in ham, but I can't remember the name of the fish. It was quite tasty, but I couldn't quite taste the fish. The abalone was delicious. The cauliflower mousse was surprisingly good. We then received our main dishes. My pasta had a tomato-based sauce that was creamy and flavorful. The shrimp and scallops were a bit cheap in quality. My partner's hamburger was okay, but the sauce didn't quite complement the dish well. The pumpkin soup was light and lacked a distinct pumpkin flavor. The bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil was too acidic for my taste. Overall, the pasta was delicious, but the quality of the ingredients was lacking. The hamburger was decent, but the sauce was not well-balanced. The atmosphere was nice, but I felt like wine would be a better choice than coffee. Overall, the experience was a bit disappointing."

The lunch menu starts at 1,300 yen and includes a salad and a drink. I ordered the cream pasta while my companion had the soup curry. The pasta also came with an appetizer like a sandwich. It was delicious! I want to come back again.

Today, I attended a wedding of my company's junior colleague at In The Suite, with catering provided by The Soup. This is my second time attending a wedding here, and I have also been to The Soup for dinner a few times. They always accommodate our requests and even provide flowers, making it my favorite spot for special occasions like anniversaries or surprises. The attendance fee was 15,000 yen (tax included), so I'm not sure about the individual prices of the dishes (laughs). The meal included 6 courses, a welcome drink, and cake. The seafood carpaccio with 3 sauces was delicious, and the Hokkaido abalone was tender. The lobster at The Soup is always a must-try. The creative sushi and braised beef cheeks were also flavorful. Everything I've tried here has been delicious. We had a great time at the wedding, and I ended up drinking too much with my colleagues (laughs). Thank you for the meal, I will definitely be back.

The seafood gratin was a luxurious dish with plenty of seafood in homemade white sauce. The dessert was also delicious!

First lunch buffet♪ I was guided to a corner table by a staff member with a lovely smile... I chose a main dish (pasta, hamburger, soup curry, or gratin) and went to get the food right away. There were many dishes lined up, including appetizers, soup, and dessert, which made me excited! I tried a small portion of each appetizer. After a while, the main dish I ordered arrived... I chose the hamburger. It was made with delicious Ikeda beef. I enjoyed it so much that I finished it quickly! After finishing the main dish, I moved on to the dessert... There were various desserts like gateau chocolat, mousse cake, chocolate fondue, etc., and I was spoiled for choice. Among them, the gateau chocolat and baked cheesecake were exceptionally delicious♪ I ended up eating two pieces of each♡ It was a very satisfying experience for the reasonable price of 1300 yen. I would love to go again if I have the chance♪

I had to choose a dish with a light flavor, so I opted for the hamburger, but I didn't need the rice that came with it. My friend chose pasta, and we both enjoyed the delicious pumpkin soup so much that I had two servings.

The weather forecast is starting to show snow marks, I hope it doesn't accumulate... Before winter comes, I'll go out to eat something delicious. Today, I'm having lunch at thesoup. It's been a while since I visited, and I noticed that the appetizer, salad, and soup are now self-service. The salad is my favorite, especially the shrimp potato salad. The soup looks creamy but is actually quite light. The bread comes in two varieties, and I enjoy them with butter or balsamic vinegar olive oil. The main dish today is a cheesy and tender meat, very satisfying. All of this for only 1300 yen! After eating, I have a cup of tea with milk. I prefer milk tea. I'll take a break and then get back to work.

On a certain day in July, I went to lunch with my mom friends. The soup, appetizer buffet, and two breads are included for 1300 yen, and there are many choices of pasta to choose from. The portions are generous, so I was very satisfied! A drink is also included after the meal. I ordered a cream pasta with plenty of scallops and snow crab, and the rich white sauce was amazing. I enjoyed dipping the bread in the sauce and finished it cleanly. It was delicious!

2015.5 Update
This time it was a wedding party♪ Despite being very busy, I managed to capture some of the menu items I liked.
- Tuna and snow crab mille-feuille: The combination of crab and tuna (lightly seared) was excellent. Delicious as an appetizer.
- Foie gras poêlé: Paired well with vegetables.
- Baked lobster, scallop, sea bream, and sea urchin: A fun collaboration of seafood. Overall, the wedding course was enjoyable.
2014.4 Update
Once again, it was an all-you-can-drink event and they had Suntory Premium bottled beer! This definitely boosted their rating. A rich beer that pairs well with the food. The dishes were okay, but the beer was a highlight. I refrained from taking photos since it was a banquet.
2009.4
It was a 5000 yen all-you-can-drink party course.
- Scallop mille-cuie with Kawachi sweet potato purée and burdock sticks: The scallop flavor was quite good.
- Tokachi beef carpaccio with aioli sauce: Not bad, but lacked the richness of Tokachi beef.
- Monbetsu octopus and daikon marinated in plum: Refreshing with a hint of plum fragrance.
- Shrimp and asparagus cream brûlée: The shrimp was firm and delicious with a hint of sinew.
- Pan-fried white fish with tsubu shellfish marinière: The cod had a nice flavor, but the tsubu slices were too thin!
- Tokachi-Ikeda Akamai wagyu beef wrapped in brick pastry: Hot and delicious with North Akari.
- Mountain vegetable grated soba: Too little in quantity.
- Pastry chef's seasonal dessert: Chocolate cake, ice cream. Each dish was truly elegant, but the portions were small. It might be fine for women, but for men, it's definitely not filling enough. The amount is like a bite-sized portion for each dish. Even with all-you-can-drink, the "quantity" is unsatisfactory. The drink variety is rich with cocktails, but I wish they had more options besides just "dry" beer.

I visited "The Soup" for the first time for lunch, as they are closed on weekends. The restaurant is located on the grounds of a wedding venue with a chapel. The staff's service and timing were perfect, and the Minestrone soup was delicious. The main course was a bit difficult to eat as the plate kept spinning. The dessert, mango and coconut chocolate, was a delightful treat. I would love to visit again on a weekday off.

I visited The Soup for weekend lunch. This restaurant is also a venue for weddings, so the atmosphere is perfect. Despite the restaurant being full, we were guided to a sofa seat on the right as soon as we entered. It seems that now you have to order while looking at the menu first before being seated. We were seated at a square table for four, but instead of facing each other, we were seated next to each other. I have been here a few times and tried the buffet, pasta, and meat/fish courses for lunch, but the hamburger is recommended! I ordered the Ikeda beef 100% hamburger steak 200g with salad, soup, bread or rice, and coffee or tea for 1200 yen. My lunch companion ordered the natural hamburger with rice and iced tea. There is also another option for hamburger with cheese. The bread comes with a Western sauce and the rice with a Japanese sauce. First, we had salad with a choice of Japanese or cream mayonnaise dressing. The Minestrone soup was delicious with a gentle vegetable flavor. The hamburger was juicy and flavorful, made with high-quality meat. The Japanese sauce had a rich flavor, especially when paired with the onsen egg. The natural hamburger had more vegetables and was also tasty. The iced coffee was average. After paying, we were escorted outside. We had a great lunch in a lovely setting with unique service that is not common in the area. Thank you for the meal!

I went with two friends, but the restaurant seems to have a nice building and interior, but lacks in terms of service. The first thing I noticed was that the young male staff member's black jacket was dirty around the buttons, even though the restaurant had just opened. Their knowledge about wine also seemed lacking, especially considering they have wines that cost over 30,000 yen. The truffle-flavored cream sauce pasta set made with local chicken was 1,200 yen. The main pasta dish arrived before we finished the appetizer, making us feel rushed. The pasta was moving around on the plate and the presentation was ruined. It seems like the kitchen staff and the servers are not on the same page. The male staff member refilling water ignored our table, which made us question their attitude towards customers. The tall water glasses, while visually appealing, were difficult to drink from. The taste lacked impact and might not be appreciated by customers who are used to delicious food. The portion size might not be satisfying for young men. My friend ordered the "soup curry" with extra spice, but found it not spicy enough and had to add pepper. The appetizer of lettuce leaves was disappointing. The relaxed table setting did not match the atmosphere for a pleasant dining experience. The parking and kitchen staff's caps might be minor issues, but overall, the staff need better training. I wouldn't recommend this place for a wedding to my acquaintances.

The menu seems to feature ingredients sourced from around here, and even rare items like Ikeda beef that are not often available for those living in this area. You can enjoy extraordinary dishes in a beautifully designed, non-everyday space. Personally, I recommend ordering a la carte dishes over set courses. Many a la carte dishes come with soup or salad, and the portions are generous, so adding a light appetizer can make a main dish quite satisfying. While the wine and champagne selection is not extensive, they do offer glass champagne, which is not common in Obihiro. The building is circular, and at night, the illumination outside can be seen from most seats, creating a lovely atmosphere. The floral arrangements are sophisticated and urban. The food is delicious, but the focus is more on the ambiance, making it a great choice for dates, family celebrations, or business dinners. The parking lot can be hard to find, and spaces are limited, so it's advisable to make a reservation in advance to secure a spot. Smoking is allowed in the bar area, which also has a fantastic atmosphere. Update: I recently visited again and the flavors have improved even more, with a more French touch. The cream-based pasta was incredibly delicious. Despite the huge portions that almost made me feel like I was going to die from being so full, the prices are surprisingly reasonable. I was extremely satisfied.
