I visited the Coop Sapporo at Hirao and tried all the tenants. Toyohiko was rejected though☆ The Tokachi Ohagi (red bean paste) for 356 yen is delicious with just the right amount of sweetness. When you think of Sazae-san, you think of Ohagi, and when you think of Ohagi, you think of Sazae-san. It's not too sweet and really tasty. Thank you for the meal.

I went shopping at my favorite supermarket, Sapporo Hiraoka store (*^^*). My friend who loves sweets was drawn to the o-yaki, while I headed for the onigiri. However, I noticed some unfamiliar cup containers. When I picked one up, it turned out to be "One Bite Chicken Fillet Fry"! I knew that Sazae sold bento boxes, but it was my first time seeing individual fried items being sold separately! I was intrigued and immediately bought one to take home and try it out! Oh, and I also got the o-yaki and onigiri I originally wanted (*´∀`)ノ The "One Bite Chicken Fillet Fry Salt Lemon" (248 yen) was soft and moist, with a refreshing salt lemon flavor that was delicious and not greasy at all! The "Crispy Plum" (151 yen) onigiri made with Sazae's original blend of Hokkaido rice had a good balance of sourness and saltiness, and the roasted white sesame added a nice touch! The "Tokachi Daimyo Oyaki (Smooth Red Bean Paste)" (113 yen) made with Tokachi red beans from Sazae is really delicious! I also love their daifuku! Personally, I prefer ohagi the most, though (*´艸`) I wonder if other branches also sell fried items? I'll have to look into it and investigate! Thank you, Hiraoka store♪

I bought bread at Hiraoka Co-op! There is another store in this co-op. It is a famous shop in Hokkaido that sells ohagi, side dishes, and onigiri. It has about 60 stores in the region. This is my first review of Sazae as well! When I was in Hokkaido, I wasn't familiar with it, but after leaving Hokkaido, I heard about it from my Myrebi friends and have been curious to try it. The shop sells onigiri (salmon roe soy sauce) for 235 yen and mini futomaki for 185 yen. It seems like Sazae is popular, as there were many customers around the shop. This time, I aimed for onigiri and inari, but ended up getting the futomaki. I ate them later that night when I was already full. Both the onigiri and mini futomaki were delicious, whether eaten immediately or reheated in the microwave, but unlike bread, they are not easy to reheat. I thought Sazae was cheap, but it's actually quite pricey. However, there were many appealing menu items like onigiri and inari. I regret not eating them right away. Itadakimasu! Rating on Tabelog: 3.03, Tanuki Evaluation (lunch): Overall - 30 points, Atmosphere - 6 points, Food - 6 points, Signature menu - 6 points, Cost performance - 6 points, Likelihood to revisit - 6 points.

I had it in my draft, but there was no photo so it remained in stock for a long time. However, I found it... even though the store doesn't have it, I found "Sazae" today. I have a meeting today so I am acting while looking at the clock. I don't wear a watch though. I am alone in Sapporo. Everything went smoothly but I was rejected by one place at the end, so I decided to stop by a Co-op Sapporo nearby. It was completely random. Although it wasn't my intention, I found Sazae. So, how is the tempura rice bowl? I don't like mushy rice, so I like tempura rice bowls because the rice isn't mushy. Well, that's just my excuse. The tempura sauce for this tempura rice bowl is thin, so the rice becomes mushy. I had high expectations because Sazae's tempura rice cakes are delicious. The tempura wasn't as good as I expected, and although the rice is new, it was delicious. I confirmed that the tempura rice cakes are overwhelmingly delicious, so it was good, wasn't it? What was good?

This time, I visited the first floor of Coop Sapporo Hiraoka store, located east of Hiraoka Park in Kiyota-ku. I went there to buy some "Inari Sushi" to enjoy as my lunch and snack during a baseball game. As I arrived at the store, I parked my car in the parking lot and entered the building. Inside, I headed to the showcase where many rice balls were displayed. However, today I was in the mood for "Inari Sushi," so I checked out the corner dedicated to it. There were seasonal Inari Sushi with yuzu flavor, but I decided to go for the basic 5-piece pack. I purchased it and headed to Sapporo Dome to enjoy it while watching the preseason baseball game. The sweet and salty fried tofu was to my liking, and the lightly seasoned sushi rice inside complemented it well. I also refreshed my palate with some pickled ginger in between bites. I plan to buy a couple of popular rice balls next time and enjoy them with baseball at Sapporo Dome.

On a certain weekday, I stopped by Coop Hiraochi Sazae-san as it was not a time to have a leisurely lunch. The parking lot at Coop had enough spaces available. The shop is located in a pretty good location. On this day, instead of choosing from the menu, I decided to try some onigiri from the Motoishi showcase. The "Crispy Plum Onigiri (129 yen)" had a good amount of crispy plum with white sesame and the greenish seaweed was surprisingly good. The "Suji-ko Onigiri (216 yen)" had thinly salted rice wrapped in good seaweed and there was some ikura tucked in a corner. Considering the recent price increase of ikura, it was a relief to be able to enjoy it at this price. The "Shrimp Tempura Onigiri (194 yen)" had a shrimp tempura with a strong soy sauce flavor and a hint of shrimp aroma, and the lightly salted rice was enjoyable. Overall, it was a shop with a familiar taste that can be found in various supermarkets in Sapporo. Thank you for the meal.

▼Location▼ Located on the 1st floor of Coop Sapporo Hiraoka store along Aoba and Hiraoka Street. ▼About the Shop▼ Sazae is a chain store offering traditional Japanese sweets and onigiri takeout, with around 110 stores in Hokkaido, Tohoku, and Kanto. They are found in various large supermarkets such as Aeon, Arcs, and cooperatives. ▼Menu▼ Their specialty is the Tokachi Ohagi, along with taiyaki, oyaki, onigiri, rolls, and bento boxes. ▼What I Ate▼ - Hokkaido Karinto Manju (pack of 4) for 309 yen This pack contains four Hokkaido Karinto Manju. The manju has a soft and fluffy texture when eaten as is, but when toasted, it becomes crispy. The sweet red bean paste inside pairs well with the karinto-like dough. ▼Impressions▼ Sazae is known for its pride, the Tokachi Ohagi, and offers a variety of Japanese sweets, onigiri, bento, oyaki, and more. This location is inside Coop Sapporo Hiraoka store near the checkout. I tried the Karinto Manju, a new treat for me, and found the texture interesting. Sazae doesn't have many daring products, so I hope they continue to develop new items. I will definitely visit again.

In August 2016, I visited the Co-op Hirao store and tried the popular Ebi-Ten Onigiri and Goma-Sake Onigiri. The Ebi-Ten Onigiri had a whole tempura shrimp inside and the rice was seasoned with a sweet and savory flavor. The shrimp tempura was a bit heavy, but the rice was cooked perfectly and delicious. The Goma-Sake Onigiri had flaked salmon that was not too salty and easy to eat. Overall, it was a delicious meal. Thank you! ✿ฺ(๑´ڡ`๑)✿ฺ.

This is a branch of "Sazae Shokuhin" located inside a popular supermarket. The store is right in front as you enter the entrance. The staff, mostly part-timers, greet customers with a somewhat awkward smile but they try their best. Despite being an in-store shop, they offer a variety of typical products such as onigiri, bento boxes, mochi sweets, ohagi, and oyaki. Around 7 pm, you can always find discounted items with stickers on them, probably due to excess inventory. On this day, I bought discounted oyaki and kashiwa mochi for dinner. They also sell traditional Japanese sweets like skewered dango, sakuramochi, ohagi, and daifuku. These sweets are usually packed in sets of 3 or 4 pieces, with only a few items sold individually. I purchased a set of kashiwa mochi (\315 → \252) with a 20% discount. It contained small kashiwa mochi in red, white, and green colors, each with a different filling. The mochi was chewy but didn't stretch, and the fillings were sweet, with the smooth white bean paste being my favorite. I also bought a white oyaki with soy milk cream (\115 → \103) at a 10% discount. This Hokkaido-exclusive oyaki had a delicious soy milk cream filling and a moist, chewy dough. I prefer the soy milk cream over the red bean filling. The red bean filling was average. Overall, the store offers a variety of tasty traditional Japanese sweets.

Sazae is a traditional Japanese sweets shop located inside the Co-op Sapporo Hirao store. Every time I pass by this shop, I am greeted by a sweet and pleasant aroma. Whenever I shop at the Co-op Sapporo Hirao store, I always make sure to stop by this shop. I particularly love their soy milk cream oyaki. The skin is soft and fluffy, and inside, there is a creamy soy milk filling with a gentle sweetness that is very delicious. It's lighter in taste compared to regular cream oyaki. Their anko (red bean paste) and cream oyaki are also tasty, so I often buy them as souvenirs for my family. I highly recommend their soy milk cream oyaki for its delicious taste.

While I was out and about, I suddenly felt like eating an oyaki, so I ended up buying one (custard cream flavor). It had been discounted a bit since some time had passed. I prefer this type of oyaki, which has been around for a long time, over the white ones. The skin is thick, but I love the old-fashioned chewy texture and the custard cream filling. Even when it's cold, it doesn't get too dry and is still enjoyable to eat. I was debating whether to buy some chocolate, but ended up not getting any. I think I'll buy some next time I see it though! It might sound like I'm finished, but I'm not quite done yet! 😄
