There is a restaurant located about halfway between Asakusabashi and Kuramae, a bit off Edo Street. I believe there used to be another Korean restaurant there. The place has around five table seats, and when I entered around 7 PM on a weekday, there was only one other group. We ordered a samgyeopsal set (for two), sundubu-jjigae, dakgalbi, cold noodles, oi kimchi, a variety of namul, and a bottle of makgeolli.
The samgyeopsal came with three thick pieces of meat, grilled kimchi, grilled green onions, grilled garlic, lettuce, and a dipping sauce made of sesame oil and salt, and the staff cooked and cut the meat for us. We wrapped the samgyeopsal, garlic, kimchi, and sauce in the lettuce and took a big bite. Delicious! It was quite filling, but I couldn’t help but eat a lot.
All the dishes were tasty, especially the oi kimchi, which had chives in it and was very delicious. The makgeolli had a slight fizz and a refreshing tartness, which paired well with the meat. There are other dishes I'd like to try as well, and the staff were very friendly, so I’ve decided I will definitely come back!
