I have to hurry up and post this... It suddenly got warm. This is my third time skiing this year, and I decided to go to the local ski resort. Locals tend to avoid it, but it finally opened today, and it's even free to enter. I went to Sahoro for my first time, but the slopes were disappointing and the lunch was terrible. The second time, I went to Hifubetsu. The slopes and snow were good. The lunch was better than Sahoro, but today the local ski resort opened, so I have to compare the food. I ordered soy sauce ramen, and my wife ordered curry rice. It's self-service and ready in 5 minutes. The ramen had plenty of ingredients, but the noodles were a bit overcooked. The naruto and menma weren't that good, and the wakame was a bit too much. The soup was a bit lacking, but it had a good dashi flavor. The chashu was thin and tasted like it was from a food service. The taste was okay, no complaints. The curry seemed like it was from a food service or a retort pouch. It had some spiciness, but it was lukewarm, which was a big downside. Both dishes were just okay. Sahoro was terrible, Abashiri was normal, and Hifubetsu was delicious. 2.0:3.2:3.4

I had a delicious spicy garlic ramen. The red color of the chili pepper and the green color of the leeks make for a beautiful presentation. The soup has beaten eggs in it, giving it a slightly thick consistency. The noodles are cooked al dente, providing a satisfying chewiness. The soup sticks well to the noodles and was very tasty.

Local lunch here, this is very rare for me. I used to ski in the past, but I no longer have the motivation to endure the cold. I came here once last year, but felt out of place wearing a suit and was overwhelmed by the number of people in the restaurant. Today, I must have a strong mindset and blend in, so I head there without even shaving my armpits. I quickly enter the restaurant, trying not to be affected by the stares. The menu prices were not as cheap as I expected, with a salt ramen priced at 700 yen. The atmosphere was uncomfortable, surrounded by children and their mothers. The ramen was decent, but I regret not getting the half size. Overall, I felt like the restaurant was trying to make a profit from overcharging customers. That's how it was today.

Having lunch at Lake View Ski Resort in Abashiri. I'm not good at skiing, but it's quite fun sliding down the slopes. However, what I really look forward to is lunch at the lodge. The menu includes noodles like ramen, soba, and udon. They also offer pork bowl, curry, daily specials, and light meals. I ordered a small salt ramen and a small curry rice. The food is not amazing since it's a ski resort food court, but it's decent. The curry is default spicy and has a rich flavor with a hint of acidity. It would have been great if it was served piping hot. The freshly fried potato fries for 100 yen were surprisingly tasty. I'll be going back next week, maybe I'll try the daily special or soba next time.
