I visited again because the hot potato soup was delicious last time. However, this time there was only vichyssoise available, as it seems the potato season has ended. I ordered the vichyssoise and it looked beautiful. Despite the hot weather, it was delicious. The taste was rich and fresh. I enjoyed it so much that I ended up having two servings. I look forward to trying more dishes depending on the season. It was delicious! Thank you!

I was looking for a place where I could drink soup at the market. I really wanted to have potato or corn soup, and I happened to come across it. However, I was also interested in trying melon-related dishes, but unfortunately, most fruits were not in season. The menu I ordered: Potato Soup: 560 yen. Hokkaido soups are known for bringing out the flavor of the ingredients and having a rich depth. Especially, cream soups made with Hokkaido milk are characterized by their mellow and rich taste. Soups made with Hokkaido ingredients are satisfying and comforting. Since coming to Hokkaido, I've noticed that soups and drinks are always served piping hot. It seems that in cold regions, everything is served hot. I almost burned myself, but I like my food hot, so it was good! I want to try more dishes in the future. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

At Furano Marche, we tried some Hokkaido snacks from a shop that offers simple ingredients. We enjoyed pesticide-free boiled corn for 500 yen, fried corn for 350 yen, Furano watermelon juice for 480 yen, and a cup of cut melon for 700 yen. Our family loves corn, so we tried both the boiled and fried versions. Both were beautifully yellow, with plump and juicy kernels. When we took a bite, they were juicy and sweet, with a high-quality and subtle sweetness. The kernels were firm and had a refreshing juiciness. The fried corn had a slightly nutty flavor and was not greasy. It was sweeter than the boiled corn. You can add seaweed or garlic salt to your liking. The watermelon juice was refreshing and the melon cup was generous. The melon was perfectly ripe and not too firm, with a rich and sweet flavor that may have been even better than the melons from Tomita Melon House. We enjoyed these healthy Hokkaido snacks made with local produce.

While shopping at Furano Marche, I got a little hungry so I bought a smoothie and tornado potato from Lav berry. The tornado potato, made from potatoes grown in Furano, had a nice crispy texture and a delicious balance of crunchiness and fluffiness. At first, I thought it was just thinly sliced potatoes fried up, but upon closer inspection, it was indeed a tornado potato. There were salt, pepper, and ketchup available on the counter for seasoning according to your preference, but salt paired best with the freshly fried tornado potato!

At Furano Marche, I tried their limited-time Furano Melon Smoothie. It was made carefully and came out very cold, sweet, and delicious. The smoothie had a strong melon flavor and was well worth the 650 yen. They also had cut melon available. Although they only had samosas for Indian cuisine, they were already sold out before noon. The Furano melon was amazing. Thank you for the meal!

A shop that opened on April 20 in the center of Furano City called "Furano Marche." Smoothies seem to be popular, but according to the Furano Marche website, they have added "Acai Bowls" to the menu. I've heard of it before but never tried it. Since there are not many shops selling it, I decided to give it a try. The Acai Bowl costs 1,200 yen, but if you return the cup, you get 250 yen back. I returned the cup, so it cost me 950 yen. It took about 6-7 minutes to prepare, and it was topped with banana, kiwi, raspberry, blueberry, and coconut chips. As I continued eating, the Acai appeared. It had a mild acidity and was quite easy to eat. I looked it up and found out it has a cocoa-like flavor, which I kind of tasted. Overall, it was a unique and enjoyable experience. The shop also sells cut melon and boiled corn, adding a touch of Furano's charm. It's a nice stop during your stroll.
