I had lunch at the golf course and after playing, I had the spaghetti cutlet for 1,500 yen. The spaghetti was of a standard thickness and freshly boiled, while the cutlet was freshly fried and tender, mixed with a tomato-flavored meat sauce. It was very delicious.

Two days in a row of golf. I couldn't refuse because I had booked first... And on top of that, it's in Furano. I had planned to go there once, but I didn't expect it to involve long-distance travel for golf two days in a row... I don't drive myself. It took a full two and a half hours to arrive. The Palmer course is one way from the 1st hole. You won't return to the clubhouse until the end. The course has no flat areas and I fell into Palmer's bunker strategy, resulting in my worst score of the season. Even though we were moving on cart paths, my knees and calves hurt more than if I had walked. I'm all worn out and having pork cutlet curry. The pork cutlet is thick for 1000 yen, but the curry sauce is slightly bitter. Is this considered reasonable for 1000 yen at a golf course? Thanks for the meal. I think I've learned enough from coming here once, so I'm good now. (laughs)

First Furano Golf Course of the year. I go here once or twice a year, and it's just beautiful. It's like a resort with beautiful grass, cart access allowed, and great weather, it was the best. The director said he would capture the whole thing with a camera, starting from the start... But when it was my turn, I completely forgot, and the filming ended at that moment. The restaurant house is made of logs. Golf course meals are hit or miss, but this place is always delicious. It's delicious, but if you're not careful, it can be a problem... Because for farmers, the Bon Festival is a busy time. They had to go back to the fields. When I was a child, Yawataoka was a hilly area with a few scattered farms in the livestock farming zone. I never imagined a golf course would be built here. Is this really my hometown surrounded by such harsh nature? I would be surprised to see my younger self having a meal with my family in Yawataoka. I never imagined Yawataoka would open up like this. I reflect on how good the times have become, but I don't feel sorry for the childhood I had. I just nostalgically remember living in the great outdoors. Restaurant Owl is operated by the long-established "Nishikawa Shokuhin" in Furano for three generations. A golf course affiliated with the Prince group. There may be debates about development, but it is appreciated that they give back to local companies and employment in this way. Nishikawa Shokuhin started as a deli, and is a familiar company in Furano, handling catering for celebrations, bento boxes, school lunches, and the food service industry. Being run by the locally rooted Nishikawa Shokuhin, the restaurant at the golf course has a pastoral atmosphere. The food ticket system is also nice. Now, under the clear blue sky, I enjoy the pork cutlet curry. My father enjoys sausages with beer from the daytime. And cold soba. The children and my wife have seafood tomato spaghetti, shrimp fry set meals, and pork cutlet set meals. It's been a while since I last visited, but I can't forget the happy times we had eating and chatting under that blue sky. Happy times are something you realize in retrospect, after all. My parents are still healthy. So, while my parents are healthy, I want to visit again with everyone to trace back our memories.

After playing golf, I had lunch at the restaurant. You can also visit the restaurant just for a meal. You can purchase a meal ticket at the entrance vending machine and enter. This time, I ordered the Sarashina soba set for 1,000 yen, which comes with a salmon and ikura bowl. The ikura bowl adds a touch of luxury to the meal. The portion of soba is quite generous, suitable for women but men might want a bit more. The sauce is slightly sweet. I also tried the recommended Lunch A for 1,000 yen, which I thought was truly recommended. Lunch A includes a Shariapin steak made with Kamifurano pork. The meat was tender and delicious. The bread was fluffy and tasty. The corn soup was creamy and delicious. The restaurant is in a log house setting with a great atmosphere. It may be a bit challenging to visit just for a meal without playing golf, but it's definitely worth it.
