At the Meets Port area of Tokyo Dome City, if you go in from the small path on the left side of the Starbucks, just across from TOKYO DOME CITY HALL, you will find the oyster bar "TOKYO KAKI STAND," which is set to open in August 2024 for oyster lovers. The first store opened in August 2022 in Shibuya's Hyakken Street, and this will be the second location. This small path is quiet and has a nice atmosphere despite being close to the station. Recently, I visited the neighboring restaurant "Hakobune," so this time I headed to "TOKYO KAKI STAND."
Inside the restaurant, there are L-shaped counter seats and table seats. I wonder if the rooftop terrace can be used like at Hakobune? The place is managed by a mix of male and female staff. I sat at the counter and started with a draft beer (680 yen), which is a fragrant ale from Premium Malts. I really enjoy this! The appetizer (300 yen) is cold tofu with kimchi. Today’s fresh oysters come from three places:
- Hokkaido: Maruemon (500 yen)
- Hyogo: Ako Crystal Blanc (650 yen)
- Mie: Miyagawa Oysters (780 yen)
You can also get a set of three types of raw oysters for 1,680 yen. I tried the Hokkaido Maruemon (500 yen). I squeezed some lemon on it and slurped it down. I also decided to try the garlic-butter oysters (550 yen) and fried oysters (680 yen) as well! For my drink, I ordered a Tori Highball (480 yen). The garlic-butter oysters were incredibly delicious.
I received a coupon for a complimentary raw oyster. Naturally, I ended up getting another Hokkaido Maruemon... I should have ordered something different earlier! I thought about trying some sake next, so I ordered a glass of Hakkaisan Junmai Ginjo (800 yen). I also got some hotaru squid (550 yen) to go along with it. This is a perfect spot for a quick stop to enjoy fresh oysters and sake while passing by. (*^^)v

The raw oysters were incredibly fresh, plump, and delicious. The sparkling wine was also very tasty and paired perfectly with the oysters. The menu included items like French fries and fried chicken, which you might find at an ordinary izakaya, but the seasoning was so flavorful that I definitely want to go back for more.

The restaurant was clean and comfortable, which was nice. The staff were also attentive. However, the quality of the oysters was not good. I was surprised to see an oyster served that seemed unfit for customers. Well, I think I'll go to a different place next time. I wonder if the one in Shibuya is similar.

This restaurant always has three or more types of raw oysters available for tasting. They also offer deep-fried oysters and grilled oysters, so if you're craving oysters near Tokyo Dome, I highly recommend this place! They have a wide variety of other dishes as well, making it enjoyable even for those who aren’t fond of oysters. It's also pet-friendly, which seems to be unique in this area. The restaurant has table seating, counter seating, and terrace seating, so you can choose based on the situation.

The exterior of the restaurant is stylish, resembling a container house. It's situated a bit higher up and has three glass-walled sides, creating a wonderful sense of openness. There are terrace seats around, which unfortunately couldn't be used due to the rain on this day, but they seem like they'd be very pleasant on a sunny day. Inside, there are table seats, counter seats, and terrace seats, allowing you to choose depending on the situation, which is a nice touch. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and provided great service. On this visit, they offered three types of raw oysters for a tasting experience. While there were a few smaller oysters mixed in, they were delicious. However, I would have appreciated a few more varieties. Since I visited when they first opened, they might have improved this since then. The staff has a stylish and easygoing vibe, and while the prices are reasonable, I think it's the perfect place to enjoy oysters in a casual yet stylish setting. Thank you for the meal!

Before the show starts, let's take a little break with a colorful cream soda.

As mentioned in previous reviews, they actually serve something that's more like a thin imitation of oysters. The restaurant is beautiful, the atmosphere is good, and the location is close to the station, right by Tokyo Dome, which makes it all the more disappointing. I also tried other dishes, but I didn't find anything I thought was tasty.
