I received the VIVALDI course. It started with a bite-sized prosciutto on top of seaweed, which I picked up and ate in one bite. Saba and grilled eggplant tartare. An unusual combination. The saba was very delicious. Pumpkin and ricotta cheese risotto. This was incredibly tasty! Slightly sweet and creamy with cheese. Porcini mushroom and chestnut tagliatelle. Chestnuts are rare. They were soft and had a similar texture to lily bulbs. The porcini flavor was strong and delicious. Roasted saury. The saury was tender and juicy, very tasty. Grilled shikotsu beef zabuton. There are 12 types of salt on the table, so you can choose your favorite salt. I tried truffle salt, smoked pyramid salt, and yakushiji natural sea salt a little bit each, and they were all delicious. The meat was tender. Yakushiji natural sea salt is my top recommendation. The dessert was truffle gelato. I didn't expect sliced truffles to come on top! It was my first time trying truffles on gelato, and it was delicious. You can choose from 9 types of tea and coffee. I chose the organic African nectar tea, which had a blend of rooibos tea and hibiscus, with a floral aroma. It was very relaxing. I had champagne, white wine, and red wine for drinks. I was able to enjoy a leisurely meal and was very satisfied.

One day, in the mood for some meat, I made a last-minute reservation for a 200-gram Wagyu steak lunch course. The restaurant is located on the 8th floor of Daimaru, and the course includes a complimentary glass of red, white, or sparkling wine. The appetizer plate featured a selection of grilled seasonal vegetables. The Wagyu beef was incredibly tender and thick, cooked to perfection with a nice char. The portion was generous at 200 grams, and I enjoyed sampling the various salts provided. The kitchen, visible through glass, had several chefs working, and the atmosphere was great with a bar counter seating area. For dessert, I had Hokkaido milk ice cream with a tangy haskap berry sauce, which was a delicious combination. I'm curious about their other menu items like the hamburger, so I definitely plan to come back again.

A cozy Italian restaurant near Sapporo Station. Unfortunately, I didn't have much time before my train departure, only about 50 minutes. I quickly ordered the steak salad which was served with three appetizers. The meat was high quality lean beef, tender and with just the right amount of chewiness. I really enjoyed it. I also tried different types of steak with various salts, which was quite interesting and delicious. I would recommend this over eel or tempura. The attentive service was also memorable. I hope to visit this restaurant again next year and fully enjoy its charm. I wish I had tried the anniversary course meal. I almost lost track of time while placing my order, it was a lucky find.

Went on a date with my wife as our last outing before my mother-in-law who was helping out after childbirth returned home. We had been looking for a place where we could enjoy a T-bone steak with a sommelier to help us choose wine, and we finally found it at Mark Matuoka Grill. The steak was delicious, and the variety of flavored salts provided added to the experience. We chose a red wine from California, expertly recommended by the sommelier. It reminded us of the excitement of our pre-marriage dates. Highly recommend this place for a romantic and enjoyable evening.

Located in the Sapporo Station area, this restaurant is situated on the 8th floor of Daimaru Sapporo store. My wife and I decided to try it for lunch after seeing it on TV. The restaurant has an elegant and chic atmosphere with an open kitchen at the back. While the other restaurants on the same floor were crowded, we were seated promptly at this high-end establishment. I ordered the "MMG Bomb Bolognese (2,420 yen)" that was featured on TV. The dish came with salad and bread. It was ready in about 15 minutes. The final touches to the dish (breaking up the hamburger, adding cheese) were done at the table. The pasta had a thick and firm texture, similar to Jiro-style ramen, and the meat was not minced, providing a meaty and delicious taste. However, it didn't quite have the traditional Bolognese flavor. The price reflected the quality of the meat, but the lack of waitstaff was a downside. Overall, it's a good choice for a calm and tasty meat dish, and I'd like to try the Shigakawa beef steak if I have the chance.

Located on the 8th floor of Daimaru Sapporo, I visited this restaurant for lunch craving some meat after trying various Hokkaido dishes like soup curry, miso ramen, and sushi. I ordered the Shikata beef Chateaubriand steak (5,500 yen) which was cooked medium rare, tender, not too oily, and delicious! The variety of salts provided added a nice touch to the meal. It's rare to find a restaurant where you can order Chateaubriand on the menu, so this place is quite special. With salad, bread, and soup included in the price, it felt like a great deal.

I went for lunch and ordered the fillet steak. It came with bread, soup, and salad. I forgot to take a picture of the steak, but it was tasty. The salad was mainly leafy greens but a bit watery. The soup seemed to be tomato flavored. The bread was small and there were two pieces. I also had iced tea as my drink. The restaurant wasn't too crowded, but the staff seemed busy. There were other menu items that caught my eye, so I would like to go back again.

On the 7th floor of Daimaru, I visited a restaurant for the second time. This time, I made a reservation for a course meal. I ordered the Puccini course for ¥7700 and upgraded the meat to Chateaubriand for an additional ¥1100. It was my first time trying it and I was pleasantly surprised by how tender and delicious it was, with just the right amount of fat. The appetizers, mackerel and eggplant tartare, and pasta with porcini mushrooms and chestnuts were also delicious. Especially the truffle ice cream was a delightful surprise with its amazing aroma and taste. They also serve bread, dessert, coffee, and tea. You can choose from a variety of teas, making it a fun experience to explore different tea flavors.

In the heart of Tokyo's Naka-Meguro, the first branch of "Mark Matsuoka Grill" can be found on the 8th floor of Sapporo Daimaru. With the concept of "Eat, Drink and Be Healthy", the restaurant offers a variety of delicious dishes and high-quality wines to make you happy and healthy. The restaurant started in Naka-Meguro in 2016 and now has two branches in Naka-Meguro, one in Hakuba, one in Sapporo, and a partnership in Ginza. The customer service was excellent, and the restaurant's location in a department store provided a calm atmosphere to enjoy the meal. I opted for the VIVALDI course, which included the following dishes: - Porta di MMG: Mark Matsuoka Grill's signature dish using rice chips and bamboo charcoal - Mackerel and Grilled Eggplant Tartare with marinated mackerel and amaranthus leaves - Risotto with pumpkin, ricotta cheese, and red wine sauce - Tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and Italian chestnuts - Low-temperature roasted sea bream with saffron mousse and red bell pepper sauce - Grilled Hyogo Prefecture Shigakogen beef Zabuton with green pepper sauce - Truffle gelato with a new twist using chocolate If you're looking for a special dining experience, I highly recommend Mark Matsuoka Grill in Sapporo.

Mark Matsuoka Grill Sapporo VIVALDI Course 9,350 yen - Stuzzicchino - Porta di MMG - Antipasto - Saba and grilled eggplant tartare with balsamic scent - Primi Piatti - Risotto with pumpkin and ricotta cheese in red wine sauce - Primi Piatti - Pasta - Tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and Italian chestnuts - Pesce - Low-temperature cooked roasted saury with saffron and red paprika sauce, accompanied by thyme scent - Carne - Grilled Hyogo Prefecture "Shikata beef" Zabuton with green pepper sauce - Dolce - Panettone with rose and Marsala scent, herbal tea, cold chamomile citrus After seeing the posts of my lovely followers, I visited Mark Matsuoka Grill at Daimaru Sapporo store on Friday at 7:30 pm after making a reservation. The restaurant had a nice sense of luxury and a wonderful atmosphere. The service from the staff was extremely kind and they provided perfect hospitality, and the staff member was also very handsome. Each dish was presented with attention to detail and my companion enjoyed the pasta, which was delicious. I particularly loved the steak, which was perfectly cooked and tender. There were 12 types of salt to enjoy, making the experience even better. I wish I could have eaten 10 more dishes because everything was so delicious. The dessert at the end was also generous in portion size. The herbal tea or coffee, hot or iced, was included, and I chose the chamomile citrus iced tea, which was incredibly tasty. I wished I could have added shochu to it and enjoyed it. Overall, it was a satisfying course meal, but as a big fan of meat, I wish there were more meat dishes on the menu. The attentive service and delicious food left a great impression. Thank you for the meal. It was a long time since I visited that place, and I love it there so much.

[Comment] Overall satisfaction was high. I would definitely want to come back when I visit Sapporo. The manager's response was particularly excellent. [Location/Atmosphere] It is convenient being directly connected to the station, allowing visits regardless of the weather. The sophisticated space design in NY Brooklyn style with wide seat spacing, counter seating, and a lively open kitchen are appealing features. [Food] Using high-quality beef imported from both domestic and overseas sources, along with fresh Hokkaido ingredients, the chef, who honed their skills in Italy, elevates each dish to a refined level. They handle Wagyu, Shigakogen beef, US beef, etc. They offer a wide selection of wines curated by a sommelier, ranging from daily wines to those perfect for special occasions, catering to various purposes. If you leave it to them, they prioritize the marriage of food and wine and recommend pairings accordingly. They also offer pairing and degustation options tailored to course meals. Additionally, they have a variety of cocktails and soft drinks available. [Service] Excellent. I went to the rumored pasta with a hamburger on top! It gets crowded on weekends at Daimaru. We arrived just after the lunch rush, so there weren't many customers, which was nice. The atmosphere in the evening gives off a steakhouse vibe, which is nice. We ordered: MMG Bomb Bolognese 2420 yen with salad and bread (all-you-can-eat), NY Reuben Sandwich 1870 yen with soup, and beer 880 yen. A round hamburger sits on top of white pasta. Instead of meat sauce, they pour a beef tail broth sauce over the hamburger. Personally, I felt that a sauce made only of broth was incomplete, similar to a memory I have of an Italian restaurant. Then came the performance that captivated us. The staff avoided the hamburger from the pasta, and cut it in front of us with a plastic spoon and fork! They cut it into bite-sized pieces! I was worried that if I cut the hamburger with a knife and fork on the pasta, the pasta would break, but my worries were unfounded. Then they covered the hamburger with pasta, sprinkled Parmesan cheese, and it was complete. The pasta was left neglected during this performance, so I took a bite. It was al dente, but with a firmness to it. Even until the last bite, that firmness remained. The sandwich had thin roast beef and vegetables with crispy bread. Surprisingly, the sandwich was small, with the fried potatoes having more presence. Unfortunately, my companion wasn't too impressed with the soup that day. There were some disappointing aspects, but overall, it was a nice experience. Thank you for the meal!

I found a menu that includes salad, soup, and bread for lunch, and I was waiting for a place like this! In places like America, even in rural areas, steak restaurants offer salad meals like this. In movies, career women in the city or stylish women always have salad for lunch, and I admired that. This time, I had a steak salad. The meat was tender and delicious! I couldn't drink because I came by car, but next time I want to enjoy it with some alcohol.

Daimaru, a new restaurant on the restaurant floor. The hamburgers look good! The Bomb Bolognese looks delicious too! I was having a hard time deciding when a staff member came over to assist me. They recommended the popular Steak Salad, which is a good way to get some vegetables. Uchihira = the hind leg attachment apparently. It comes with bread and soup. It's been a while since I had a soup that wasn't corn soup (^^; The tomato soup had a good balance of acidity, with onions and bacon. It was simply delicious! The bread was small, with three pieces that you can refill. They were warm! The corn bread had a strong corn flavor. The bread itself seemed relatively flavorless, not interfering with the meat. The Steak Salad arrived! The 100g of meat seemed a bit small, but it was so delicious! Tender, well-seasoned, and incredibly satisfying. The salad was a Caesar salad with just the right amount of cheese and bacon. The meat was amazing. I definitely want to try the steak next time. I thought about making a reservation for tonight, but I had other plans and couldn't go (;∀;) They have Shiretoko Wagyu for 6600 yen. I really want to try it. Thank you for the meal ♡

My dining companion and I came here with high hopes for a delicious steak. We ordered a glass of red wine for 880 yen, a cheese and prosciutto platter for 1,650 yen, a wagyu steak salad for 2,200 yen, a wagyu Chateaubriand steak for 5,500 yen, a Shiretoko wagyu sirloin steak for 6,600 yen, and other drinks for 3,850 yen. While I initially thought I could just have wine, appetizers, and salad with meat, I couldn't leave without trying the main steak. The wagyu beef here is from a brand I'm not very familiar with, and while the Chateaubriand was good, I felt there are even better cuts out there. The Shiretoko wagyu, on the other hand, was incredibly tender and flavorful, and didn't need any sauce other than salt. I was a bit disappointed that we couldn't have dessert due to a mix-up, but overall, it was a very delicious dinner. Thank you for the meal!

It's a solo lunch on my day off! I saw this place on social media and decided to check it out. I arrived a little after 11am and it was still not too crowded, so I was seated at a spacious table. I ordered the Bolognese and a beer, which came with salad, bread, and beer as starters. The bread was slightly sweet and delicious. The Bolognese was served with a small hamburger patty that the staff broke up and shaved cheese on top as a performance. It didn't look very appetizing though, and I thought maybe I should have just done it myself haha. The taste was okay, not much tomato flavor, more of a light demi-glace sauce with a slightly strong saltiness. The hamburger was said to be made from good beef, but I forgot the details. The pasta was as thick as udon noodles, cooked al dente and tasty, but it got lukewarm quickly and eating it with the crumbled hamburger felt a bit strange. Each ingredient seemed good on its own, but they didn't come together well in the dish. Overall, I felt like the quality of the food didn't match the price at this restaurant in Daimaru. I wonder why that is. Thank you for the meal!

I went to Daimaru! A steak restaurant! It's a rare place where you can get a T-bone steak. It didn't meet my expectations, but I hope for better in the future. The croissant was delicious. The atmosphere is nice and luxurious. However, the department store announcements can disrupt the unique dining experience.

Enjoyed the "MMG Bomb Bolognese" at "Mark Matsuoka Grill Sapporo" in Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido. Located on the 8th floor of Daimaru Sapporo, directly connected to JR Sapporo Station. Visited during lunchtime. After ordering, bread and salad arrived in about 5 minutes. Then, the MMG Bomb Bolognese appeared in about 7 minutes. A striking dish with a ball-shaped 100% beef hamburger on top of pasta! And that's not all, the staff put on the final touches right in front of you! Once it was ready, it was time to enjoy the burger! The ball-shaped 100% beef mince provided a strong meaty texture, complemented by the richness of demiglace sauce and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. The pasta was also perfectly al dente! A supreme pasta marriage was achieved! Finished it all in one go. After the meal, had a melty cake. A dessert that literally melts in your mouth, with a fluffy texture! Not only in taste but also in entertainment value, each dish was satisfying and made me want to visit again. A truly enjoyable restaurant experience!

There was a new meat restaurant opened in Daimaru. It seems to be a shop that is also in Naka-Meguro, Tokyo. There is a seating charge at night. Bread was all-you-can-eat♪ (I wonder if this is also limited to night time?) ★ Wagyu beef steak ★ 3850~ Very tender and the taste of the meat is very elegant. It naturally brings a smile to your face. You can try 14 different types of salt. Each one has a different taste and it was a very enjoyable time trying them out. ★ Prosciutto and Mushroom Ajillo ¥1100 I was eating this while waiting for the meat. It was delicious and the bread went well with it.

The other day, I heard on TV that Mark Matsuoka Grill had come to Sapporo, so I decided to stop by for some meat after a long time. I had been to this restaurant in the department store a few times before, so I was a bit excited as I headed to the 8th floor of Daimaru. The restaurant stands out in the restaurant area on the 8th floor with its dim lighting. It feels a bit out of place for a department store restaurant area. I was seated and handed a single-page menu, and I was surprised to see that there were so few options. The chili con carne that I was looking forward to was not on the menu, so I asked the staff, who informed me that they do not serve it at this location. I wish they had told me that sooner... As a B-grade food enthusiast, I was quite disappointed, but I had to move on. I ordered the shrimp and mushroom ajillo, the Shikata beef steak salad, and the MMG combo plate (Shikata beef, pork spare ribs, Sakurahime chicken, Daikin bacon, Daikin sausage). The dishes were brought to us promptly in about 10-15 minutes. The pork spare ribs, cooked to a medium rare, had a nice texture with just the right amount of fat, but they didn't really feel like spare ribs anymore (laughs). The various meats, including the Shikata beef and Sakurahime chicken, were all seasoned with one of the 12 types of salt provided, allowing us to fully enjoy the flavor of the meat. The MMG combo plate is quite generous in portion size, so it's perfect for sharing among three people.
