The deliciousness is unforgettable, and when I checked the restaurant's website, they were selling 100-day corn online!! The price is a bit high, but I decided to order it and it arrived promptly with cool delivery. I quickly microwaved it with the husk and took a bite - oh, so sweeeet!!! Is it because it's from Hokkaido? Or is it the potential of the 100-day corn?? I've never tasted anything like this before (tears of joy). *Personal opinion.

I wanted to eat delicious ice cream, so I went to Yeti no Ie in Biei. It's an antique-style shop. The menu has only one item, the 100-day corn ice cream. When you order, they give you the option to add black pepper using a pepper mill next to the register. First, try it without pepper... It's a delicious cold corn cream soup! Then, add black pepper... Wow! It transforms into a sophisticated ice cream! I highly recommend adding black pepper! It was a great meal!

During the visit in August 2023, I went to Biei and Furano, a place I definitely wanted to visit. I joined a convenient bus tour, but unfortunately it was raining heavily. There were about 20 participants on the tour, and the seats were spacious and comfortable. We boarded the Patchwork bus and drove through the beautiful Patchwork road in the rain. The first stop was the Hokusei Hill Observatory Park. After climbing the observation deck in the rain, the guide led us to a unique ice cream shop where we could try corn ice cream with a special corn sauce, only available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The shop was run by a friendly man who fell in love with corn and ice cream. The ice cream looked like corn potage poured over ice cream, which made me wonder if it would taste good. But after one bite, I was pleasantly surprised by the soft sweetness. It tasted like cold corn potage with ice cream, and it was delicious. The corn itself was tasty, and the soft serve ice cream was excellent, true to Hokkaido's reputation. The guide recommended grinding some pepper on top for added flavor, which also worked well. Not many tour participants tried the ice cream, but I'm glad I did. It seems trying local recommendations is always a good idea. Even the driver enjoyed it. One memorable thing the guide said was, "You gain 1 kilogram a day on a trip to Hokkaido." My friend and I were prepared for that!

The building is cute and the name "Yeti's House" has a mysterious charm to it! I enjoyed the gentle corn sauce on top of the soft serve ice cream. Despite being after hours, they waited for us and the service was warm and welcoming!

It is a popular cafe called "Kitchin Hitosaji" and connected to the cafe is a small shop at the entrance of a path. When you enter the shop, the owner will ask, "We only have one menu, is that okay?" Of course, since you visited for the one menu, it's not a problem. The menu item is "100-day Corn Ice Cream" for 500 yen. The sauce is made from corn harvested at "Hitosaji Farm." The ice cream, which is generously topped with this sauce, has a rich and creamy texture, similar to gelato. The sauce has a delicious taste, like a rich corn soup. It seems to be made from the Gold Rush variety of corn. Although it is delicious on its own, many customers have requested to sprinkle black pepper on top. Starting from the Golden Week season, a pepper mill is available for this purpose. After trying a few bites, I added black pepper on top. It transformed the dessert into more like a dish. The sweetness of the corn sauce becomes even more powerful with the addition of black pepper. This unique flavor is something special to this shop. Since the shop is closed during the winter and has limited operating days even during the season, it's best to check their Instagram before visiting.

Located on the hill in Biei Town, Hokusei, the cute house known as "Yeti no Ie" offers a unique treat called "Yeti's Gelato" made with 100% sauce from the "Hitosaji Farm's 100-day corn" harvested in their own field. The gelato has a refreshing taste as the sauce made from corn has a hint of sweetness. The amount of sugar used in the gelato is less than half of the normal recipe, and no sugar is used in the corn sauce. With a beautiful view, this is a must-visit spot when traveling to Biei Town.

I was unsure about the combination of corn and soft serve ice cream before trying it, but the sweetness of the corn and the sweetness of the soft serve really complemented each other well. It was really delicious♪
