After a long time, I visited Sapporo for the first time in about 20 years. I stopped by to adjust the time until my flight on the final day of my trip. The atmosphere inside the cafe was just like it used to be. The rich flavor of the coffee helped me relax and unwind from my travels. I have been accustomed to Seattle-style coffee for decades. I realized once again that these "proper" cafes are actually quite rare and valuable. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Neighborhood business returning at dusk. The stylish exterior and garden illuminated by indirect lighting. Park the car and open the door. Ah, the aroma of Miyakoshiya's dark roasted coffee beans welcomes you. Non-smoking first floor with no guests. Smoking second floor seems crowded. I see... If you want to enjoy the scenery and atmosphere, the second floor is better. But it's surprising how empty the non-smoking area is. The Miyakoshiya style, which cherishes long-time regular customers, exudes dignity. It's popular for a reason. The French toast for ¥660 feels elegant. The coffee I immediately ordered has a smooth bitter taste. Just as I like it. Spent a very relaxing time... and then, suddenly, the first floor starts to fill up with guests, couples... and it becomes lively. Still, I ordered another coffee and worked on preparing meeting materials for the next morning. As the night went on, more customers arrived... A sophisticated space. Around Mount Moiwa. The mood is perfect. A casual break. The cake was also delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I was full from Chinese food, but now that I've calmed down a bit, I made full use of the free streetcar to get to the ropeway entrance. There are many cafes around here, but I was misled by incorrect information and couldn't find the cafe I was looking for. My friend quickly found another cafe nearby, so we changed our destination. It's located at the foot of Mount Moiwa. The parking lot was about half full, but there were still some empty spaces, so we went inside. The first floor was non-smoking, and the second floor was smoking. We were seated at a table on the first floor. You can see the autumn leaves from the window, which creates a nice seasonal atmosphere. We were given water and menus, and although I had just eaten Chinese food, I couldn't resist looking at the cakes. I spotted my favorite, apple pie. We decided on the apple pie set and French press coffee. My friend made the same choice. We placed our order and waited. Since they use pour-over coffee, it took a little time. The apple pie and coffee were brought to us. It was fun that the cups and plates didn't match. First, the coffee. It had a strong, bold bitterness, typical of French press coffee. It was rich and had a good aftertaste. The apple pie had a crispy top crust and was filled with mildly sweet apples. The subtle sweetness of the apples paired well with the strong bitterness of the coffee. You can relax and enjoy the view of the autumn leaves. It's a cafe where you can come to enjoy coffee while watching the changing of the seasons.

While on a sightseeing trip, I found this shop on the way to Mt. Moiwa Ropeway. The concrete exterior and calming wood interior of the shop caught my eye, creating an interesting contrast. The non-smoking area on the first floor and the smoking area on the second floor have different interiors, making the shop visually appealing. I ordered a warm cocoa since it was a cold February day, and it was really good. The cream on top of the cocoa solidified just right, acting as a lid and keeping the drink warm for a long time. I believe it's the shop's technique. The service was pleasantly normal. The shop had quiet background music, allowing the staff to give customers space. This made it enjoyable to converse with my companions. I stayed for about an hour and a half, enjoying the warm cocoa that kept me warm.

A cafe located right near the Moiwa Ropeway. I visited in the evening before going to see the night view. The modern and cool exterior, along with the warmth of the wood and orange lamps inside, left a strong impression. The snowy scenery outside the window is also charming. The hot cocoa I ordered was sweet and comforting, perfect for warming up my chilled body. The rich cream on top acted as a lid and helped keep it warm. Thanks to that, I was able to relax and enjoy.

Miyakoshiya Coffee at Reitou in Mt. Moiwa is a wonderful cafe with a great exterior and interior. It's nice that non-smokers are on the first floor and smokers are on the second floor. I really like the cocoa and cookies here! It's a good deal and a must-visit for cafe lovers!

I saw the Instagram of someone I respect and thought, "Lovely♡," so I decided to visit. I selected the cake set pudding. The pudding was on the firmer side, with a mildly sweet custard and a slightly bitter caramel which I personally enjoyed. The coffee was a blend (I think?), with a nice aroma that I savored before taking a sip. The taste was a classic type of coffee. A wonderful cafe to relax and unwind in a quiet atmosphere. Thank you for the meal, I will definitely come back. P.S. A hornet came into the shop, but the manager skillfully caught it. Happy ending☺︎

On this day, after enjoying sake lees soft serve at a certain place, I visited this café. The first floor is non-smoking, while the second floor allows smoking. I chose to sit at the counter on the first floor without hesitation. The shiny dark wood and calm atmosphere, along with the soothing jazz music playing quietly, created a peaceful ambiance. French coffee for 605 yen and Mandelin coffee for 715 yen were on the menu. The café space offered a lovely view of greenery outside the window. While waiting for the coffee, we practiced taking photos with our cameras and had a mini photoshoot once the coffee arrived. The rich aroma of the coffee filled the air, making the end of the day more meaningful. The French coffee had a deep flavor with a hint of bitterness, while the Mandelin coffee had a vibrant aroma and a robust taste. Both coffees left a lingering satisfaction after a leisurely half-day of enjoyment. As we continued our relaxed conversation, time passed quickly. Cherishing the lingering scents and memories, it was time to return to our daily routines.

Located near the Daikurayama Ropeway, Miyanokoshiya Coffee offers a stunning view of the night scenery. Unlike other cafes, the concept here is quite different, with a limited menu mainly focusing on coffee and sweets. While they do offer beer and soft drinks, they are not the main focus and the variety is not extensive. I ordered a cake and a hot coffee. I was able to enjoy a relaxing time chatting and admiring the night view. It's a coffee shop mainly specialized for dates, I think.

2020.12 Once praised as the best in the world. The Sumatra Island Arabica variety has low acidity and strong bitterness. It's exactly my taste, so I ordered Mandheling again today. The careful drip for each cup is nice. The unique richness is said to go well with cake, and indeed, it complemented the rich classical pudding here perfectly. It was a coffee like that. I enjoyed a pleasant time in a calm space with the aroma of coffee and quiet conversations. Snowy landscapes are nice, but I would like to visit during the green season as well. I had a café au lait. The cafe was crowded and allowed smoking, so the inside was getting smoky, and I quickly left. It's a place where smokers gather, and I still have work to do, so I'll go to the next place. Thank you for the meal.

The place is located near Moiwa Mountain Ropeway. I stopped by for tea time. All seats are smoking allowed, but the atmosphere is calm and cozy. I had a café au lait, which was delicious without being too sweet.

The reason I asked was because the late-night opening hours until around 1 am are very convenient. Normally, I don't have a car so I can only go to places near Chuo Ward, but today my friend who has a car brought me here. I was surprised to find out that there is also a cafe in the mountains. The atmosphere of being in the mountains is really nice! There were two floors, and we decided to go to the second floor. The view from the window of the illuminated outside was beautiful, and the calm atmosphere of the cafe was very soothing. Just being in that space was healing. The faint smell of coffee is also nice, although I can't drink coffee. Even though we came to a coffee shop, I ended up ordering a set of tea and chiffon cake (laughs). The cake was fluffy and the cream served with it was delicious! I don't know when I can come back again, but I definitely want to visit again. Thank you for the meal!
