I decided to try this restaurant because many local people were visiting. I ordered the recommended Ezoichi set, which came with various side dishes, chawanmushi, and coffee jelly for dessert. It was great to enjoy a variety of flavors.

Having the last solo dinner in Furano. On a snowy Sunday, I arrived 15 minutes before the evening session started at 5:00 PM, worried about how the snowfall would affect the crowd at the restaurant. I parked my car closest to the entrance due to the harsh weather conditions, hoping not to have to wait outside in the snow. As soon as the staff started setting up the restaurant, I rushed in and secured a seat at the counter. I carefully studied the menu, sticking to my decision that seafood doesn't suit Furano, and ordered mainly Western dishes. A group of about 10 Asian-looking people arrived and I hurried to place my order before them. The restaurant's specialty, the Zantare bowl, turned out to be a specialty from Kushiro. The dishes I ordered were mostly Western, despite the restaurant having "washokuya" in its name. The group ordered after me and were informed that their food would take over 30 minutes to be served. Luckily, my order arrived in about 20 minutes. The dishes in front of me included pork cutlet, pork chop, Zantare bowl, and warm salad, with miso soup trying to assert its Japanese identity. The warm salad had a rich vegetable flavor, the pork cutlet was surprisingly lean, and the pork chop had a tasty seasoning that went well with rice. Mixing the Zantare bowl with the pork chop was a good combination, and it did go well with miso soup. Although none of the dishes stood out as exceptional, they were all above average and reasonably priced, leaving me satisfied. As I left, passing by the customers still waiting for their food, my satisfaction only increased.

Hmm, I ended up at this traditional-style restaurant with a counter, raised seating area, and tables because there might not be any other places to eat around here. I ordered the sushi soba set for 1380 yen. Would you like some soba broth? Sure, I'll take some. It had a standard appearance and taste. They call it the "Ton Den" from Furano. On September 17, 2022 (Saturday) at 12:30, I visited my parents' home in Furano for the first time. For lunch, we went to a restaurant recommended by grandma. It used to be an Italian restaurant, I think. It's the only rotating sushi restaurant in Furano, and the owner's son opened this place after branching out. Luckily, there was one seat available in a small raised tatami area, so we were seated without waiting. We ordered pork bowl for me and my wife (800 yen), tempura set for grandpa (1,300 yen), today's set meal (hamburger) for grandma, and soba noodles (580 yen) with thick tamagoyaki (600 yen) for the little one... quite a mature choice for a kid. The pork bowl my wife and I had was a bit lacking in flavor with the soy sauce being too strong, and the meat quality was average. But you know, just being able to dine out with the whole family like this is happiness in itself. Thank you for the meal~

It was delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also very nice.
