Breakfast at Dormy Inn♪ A lineup of menu items typical of Tokachi! *Breakfast Buffet ◆ Make your own pork bowl ◆ Tokachi Raclette cheese potato ◆ Various dishes using Tokachi beans ◆ Soup curry ◆ Edamame, corn rice ◆ Potato dishes ◆ Vegetable chowder, and more, a complete enjoyment of Tokachi. Everything is delicious, especially the Raclette cheese. You can pile on as much meat as you like on the pork bowl. Dormy Inn uses local ingredients generously for their breakfast. Wakkanai is full of seafood. Kitami is all about onion dishes. Sapporo is a mix of the best. A hotel that sauna lovers will also be very satisfied with. Even when leaving and retrieving the car, the concierge was friendly and it was a pleasant departure. I stayed at various places for business a few years ago, but this one became my favorite near the station. Thank you for taking care of me~ Itadakimasu (╹◡╹)

The inn is located in the city center, with a sauna and excellent breakfast. I arrived after wandering through the hot night. Since I was here, let's try the "night-crying soba". Sapporo's was super crowded, but this place was spacious. Still, there were a few customers here and there. The order was soy sauce ramen with plenty of seaweed, provided for free to staying guests. It's the perfect ramen to have after drinking. I slurped it while looking out at the night view of Obihiro through the window. It was delicious! After that, I went to the sauna. There was no one there, so I had it all to myself! I took a picture without permission. There were also a cold water bath and an outdoor bath, and the sauna environment in the hotel was perfect! The sauna was at a perfect temperature of 90°C, with just the right humidity. I went to the outdoor bath wearing a robe, without any bubbles in the 15°C cold water. Since it was a hotel, it was well-guarded, so there was no air movement, but it was still great for fresh air exposure. After the sauna, all I had to do was sleep. It was amazing!

Today's ramen is from Dohmy Inn in Obihiro City. I landed in the land of gourmet Obihiro in the early morning and enjoyed Genghis Khan, pork bowl, and robatayaki. I also had some alcohol. My stomach has no room left, but ramen is a different story. The Dohmy Inn specialty "night-crying soba" is a common taste across Japan. It's my style to double the toppings (aosa seaweed, shinachiku, green onions). The soup seemed a bit light, maybe because my taste buds were overwhelmed by fullness.

Today's morning started at Dormy Inn Obihiro in Obihiro City. I am heading to have breakfast at "Mugine," which was selected as one of the top 100 restaurants in 2022. But before that, I refreshed myself in the hot spring and sauna. Obihiro is known for its hot springs, and the quality of the water was fantastic. I had the complimentary Yakult provided by Dormy Inn for breakfast. I sweated it out for a solid hour from 5:00 am, so I feel refreshed. This is the true pleasure of traveling.

After enjoying delicious sushi, I had some "night-crying ramen" at the Dormy Inn where I was staying. It's not actually crying at night, but rather a type of ramen. It seems like it's made with high-quality ingredients, possibly for commercial use. The noodles were medium thickness and cooked perfectly, with seaweed covering the top as a nice touch. It was slurp-worthy and delicious. The complimentary ramen was much appreciated.

I stayed at Dormy Inn Obihiro this time using the points I accumulated on a reservation site. I found a welcome jelly in the refrigerator in my room, enjoyed a bath in the large public bath, and had delicious night soba, ice cream, and the breakfast I was looking forward to. I was very satisfied and happy with my stay.

On the 4th day of my late autumn trip to Hokkaido, I stayed at Dormy Inn Obihiro, located near Obihiro Station. I used the "HOKKAIDO LOVE! Discount" this time, so I was able to stay at a great rate. I arrived before 5 pm, but the closest parking lot to the hotel was already full, so I parked at the second parking lot behind the hotel (700 yen per night). There is a coffee server near the entrance where you can enjoy coffee all day. The breakfast and evening soba are served at the restaurant on the 2nd floor. From 9:30 pm to 11:00 pm, they offer a half-size portion of evening soba for free. It was surprisingly delicious to have the evening soba after drinking and taking a bath. It's very simple, but I was worried if I could finish it on a full stomach, but I managed to eat it all. Thank you for the meal.

I suddenly came to Obihiro for work from December 9th to 10th, 2022. I left Sapporo after 8 pm... arrived at the hotel around midnight after starting work at 11 pm. I missed out on the night crying soba that I was looking forward to (lol). I didn't bring a coat, so I didn't have the courage or energy to walk around outside (lol). I bought food at a convenience store and checked into the hotel. The best thing about Dormy Inn is definitely the hot spring and breakfast. I was able to relax my body in the bath. Now, time to sleep... when I tried to turn off the TV, there was a Brazil vs. Croatia soccer match on!! I couldn't sleep and ended up falling asleep at 3 am (lol). Breakfast was as delicious as ever. There was a local menu item in addition to the usual lineup. Since this is Obihiro, of course, there was "pork bowl." It had a taste similar to ginger pork... I refrained from getting seconds (trying to lose weight lol). Thank you for your hospitality!

In the morning they give you Yakult after taking a bath, and at night they give you ice candy and soba for crying at night. They give you various things. It seems like they served pork bowl for breakfast. I couldn't go due to a hangover, it was the worst, but the hot spring was nice. There is no photo of breakfast, so I will keep it private.

Staying at Dormy Inn is always great. You can enjoy soba noodles at night, soak in a hot spring, and check out at 11 am! I knew about the coffee service, but I didn't know they also offer oolong tea in the afternoon. A little tip: Dormy Inn is right across from Rokkatei, so you can buy a Marseille Ice Sandwich from Rokkatei and enjoy it with coffee from Dormy Inn (a sneaky trick!). Rokkatei's coffee space is usually crowded, so it's nice to relax in the hotel with their snacks and coffee. I recommend the Marseille Ice Sandwich, as it's not available in many stores!

I stayed in Obihiro on a business trip. If I only consider breakfast, I would choose Fukui Hotel, but when I think about the overall balance including the sauna, I lean towards here. Dormy Inn is consistent nationwide with its baths, saunas, and rooms, so I find it very reliable as my regular stay. However, breakfast prices seem to be increasing everywhere. (This hotel charges 1,700 yen, while Asahikawa charges 2,200 yen.) They take pride in local dishes (like whey pork bowl at this hotel) and "Taste Exploration Side Dish Alley," but to be honest, considering the taste level, the cost performance feels poor. But in the end, I consider the overall experience with the accommodation, so I end up adding breakfast for the convenience and time in the morning.

Night-crying tofu ★ Exquisite ◎ Very delicious ○ Normally delicious △ Hmm... Thoughts on Doutor Inn's night-crying soba. This time, the "noodle-free" option has been introduced, where silk tofu is used instead of noodles. In addition to the regular toppings of green onions, seaweed, and bamboo shoots, yuzu has been newly added. The fragrant yuzu flavor and the refreshing taste of tofu mixed well with the soy sauce soup. This combination works well. Thank you for the meal!

This is a report from Hokkaido (lol). I stayed at Dormy Inn Obihiro and reset the smell of last night's yakiniku in the natural hot spring before having breakfast. At this hotel, you can eat Obihiro's famous pork bowl in the morning, so I decided to stay here. Since I enjoyed Genghis Khan for the pre-festival, I only had the pork bowl for breakfast! I could enjoy both loin and belly, and the sauce was delicious! It's nice to be able to indulge in luxury from the morning! I also chose other classic dishes and they were delicious too! It seems to be a popular hotel, so it may be a bit expensive especially during the peak season, but I recommend this hotel where you can enjoy a luxurious pork bowl in the morning in a natural hot spring! Thank you for the meal.

Before I knew it, the trip to Obihiro was already decided and it somehow turned into a celebration for my birthday. But with the Omicron variant spreading rapidly and measures being taken to prevent its spread, restaurants were once again taking a hit. The Italian restaurant we planned to go to couldn't serve alcohol anymore, and dining in was canceled. My wife, unusually, decided not to cancel the hotel reservation and we ended up staying there. We ordered takeout from the Italian restaurant and enjoyed it in our room. The hot spring bath was nice, although the indoor bath had a strong chlorine smell. I later found out that the hot spring water was brought in from Onsen, which was interesting. We drank in our room before having late-night soba, which was crowded because everyone couldn't go out. The soba was okay, but it seemed like the flavor was lacking compared to before. The service was appreciated, though. The next morning, breakfast at the hotel was not as good as usual, with fewer options available. The main dish was pork bowl, but I didn't want a bowl, so I asked for something else, which made me realize the lack of appreciation when something is given separately. The sausages weren't anything special. Overall, the experience felt a bit lacking, but given the circumstances, it was understandable. I think it was good that I didn't eat much of the hotel breakfast this time. I still like the Dormy hotels in Obihiro and Asahikawa. I should try staying at the local Dormy hotel next time.

I stayed at Dormy Inn in Obihiro City, Hokkaido, located within a 5-minute walk from Obihiro Station on the Nemuro Line. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, where I couldn't resist having multiple servings of the local specialty pork bowl with onsen tamago and pickled ginger. The whey pork was incredibly delicious. The rooms at Dormy Inn are spacious and come with a large communal bath, making it my favorite place to stay.

Welcome.---------- April 2021 ----------A striking business hotel along the bustling street of the downtown area in Obihiro |o| °д°)ノ with automatic doors~ Despite the current situation, I was directed to the 9th floor of a 10-story building. When I opened the curtains, I could see the station area. There is a natural hot spring on the 2nd floor, but it doesn't feel like an outdoor bath. Breakfast is also available on the 2nd floor from 6:30 AM. I was able to enter by presenting my room key. Vinyl gloves and masks are required. The best part of staying at Dormy Inn is definitely the natural hot spring and the breakfast buffet. I made my own pork bowl (the pork was tender with a sweet sauce, and the rice was delicious), added a hot spring egg (cheating), bamboo shoot rice (crispy bamboo shoots with plenty of clams in the soup), grilled salmon, mackerel, and flying fish roe omelet with demi-glace sauce (the filling changes daily), firefly squid with spicy vinegar miso dressing (makes you want to drink), horenso ohitashi, squid salted fish eggs (so delicious), bamboo shoot sesame salad, assorted pickles, pickled mekabu, Vienna egg, potato cheese bake, shrimp fry (crispy), chicken nuggets (soft), beef prosciutto (Tokachi is a beef kingdom after all), caprese (with Tokachi field cheese), and creamy milk bread. No curry though. The staff were all very courteous. The front desk guy Kim was a bit stiff though.

I forgot to update, but here is the food at the hotel I stayed in when I went to Obihiro! Dormy Inn Obihiro is located about a 3-4 minute walk from Obihiro Station North Exit, and there is a Rokkatei store across the street! The hotel also has a hot spring facility! First, there is a night-only soy sauce ramen called "Yonaki Soba"! Yonaki Soba is available at any Dormy Inn, but it's nice to have it for free at night, and the gentle soy sauce flavor with seaweed is a great way to end the night after drinking alcohol and returning to the hotel (● ˃̶͈̀ロ˂̶͈́)੭ꠥ⁾⁾ Next, the breakfast! It is a buffet style, but you can have a special Obihiro dish called "Whey Pork Don"! You take the prepared soy sauce pork and serve it on rice yourself! I also topped it with a hot spring egg! Some of the other dishes included demi-glace sauce mushroom omelet, small dishes (salted squid), miso soup with clams, and shrimp fry! I enjoyed trying various local specialties as part of the breakfast buffet!

I arrived in Obihiro for the first time. When I got to the airport, it was raining and the temperature was 11℃! There was a temperature difference of over 10℃ compared to Haneda, so it was cold! I took the airport bus to the hotel and checked in. As soon as I entered the room, there was a sink, and beyond the door was the bed. (The sink being right at the entrance was because there was no unit bath.) After finishing some work, I enjoyed scallop butter and sashimi at a social gathering, and returned to the hotel at 9:30 pm. (I really think Sapporo Classic beer is delicious. It's a pity that it's not available in the Kanto region.) I still had some energy left, so I immediately had "Yonaki Soba" in a half size, which was a perfect way to end the day! It was delicious. Afterwards, I took a bath in the large communal bath "Shirakaba no Yu" - it was a natural hot spring and felt great. After relaxing, I got a little hungry, so I had "Yonaki Soba" again. Thank you for the meal! The bed was a double size, just the right firmness, and I slept soundly Zzz... The only downside was that the table was a bit small. Also, the price was over 10,000 yen.

The business hotel located along the main street in front of Obihiro Station has a convenient and easy-to-find parking lot. The room was clean and comfortable, but unfortunately the Wi-Fi connection was weak. The large communal bath on the second floor was spacious and comfortable, and it was nice to have a sauna as well. You can also enjoy the famous night-crying soba on the second floor. The portion is just right to satisfy your hunger.

This time we stayed for two nights, so of course we went to eat Yonaki Soba both nights... On the first day, the chopsticks were plastic and there were also ladles available, so we each took one. On the second day, huh? All the chopsticks are now disposable wooden chopsticks. Even the ladles are individually wrapped in plastic...!! It must have been a changeover period... Or maybe someone said something... Definitely for COVID-19 measures, right...? I was surprised that they suddenly changed from the first day to the second day. The Yonaki Soba here is only soy sauce flavor. The size is about half the size of a regular ramen and it's a good way to finish off the meal. The toppings are green onions, bamboo shoots, and dried seaweed. The dried seaweed adds a nice flavor. After ordering, you receive a number tag and wait for a while. We went a little after 10 o'clock, but there were a lot of people waiting. The seasoning is also quite delicious, so I ended up drinking all the broth... It was Yonaki Soba that felt the aftermath of COVID-19. It must be tough with all the necessary measures... Thank you for the meal!!
