I love salt bread, and I often buy it at any bakery, but at Don Guri, there are usually 2-3 new salt bread products, but at the Kuoen store, it's amazing! It's a super salt bread festival called "Salt Bread Forest" with 18 different varieties! There are a variety of genres including classic, sandwich, meal, and sweet. - Salt bread - Coarse salt bread [sold out] - Sweet bean paste salt bread - Pork shabu-shabu salt bread - Chicken tempura with wasabi salt bread [sold out] - Sweet miso salt bread - Shrimp cheese salt bread - Smoked cheese salt bread - Edamame and cheese salt bread - Corn salt bread - Smoked cheese salt bread - Chocolate chip salt bread - Forest milk salt bread - Caramel macchiato salt bread - Cinnamon apple salt bread - Forest chocolate salt bread - Black sesame sweet bean paste salt bread - Chocolate and orange salt bread I couldn't buy all 18 of them, and some were sold out, but I bought these. ★ Shrimp cheese salt bread When you break it, you can see the red shrimp! There are also chunks of cheese inside! The strong shrimp flavor is delicious! It feels like a great side dish. ★ Smoked cheese salt bread The appearance is also full of cheese and looks delicious. There are plenty of cheese inside, and cheese lovers will love it. ★ Edamame and cheese salt bread It's a common combination for salt bread, but it's definitely good! ★ Caramel macchiato salt bread Coffee-flavored salt bread with caramel chocolate chips. The coffee-flavored dough with salt and sweet is great! It's my first time trying coffee salt bread. It goes well with coffee! ★ Cinnamon apple salt bread There is plenty of cinnamon apple from head to tail inside, giving it a great texture! It really was an apple bread. It's quite strong as a dessert option. Good value for money! ★ Chocolate and orange salt bread There are chocolate and orange slices inside, resembling Chocolat Orange. This combination is also delicious! Why does the Kuoen store have such a good selection of items...? Is it a permanent selection? Do other Don Guri stores have this many items...? (Confused) I couldn't eat all 18 of them, so I wanted to try more varieties... Also, there is a project called "Gather Don Guri Popular Products," which gathers popular items from each Don Guri store at the Kuoen store, like an Avengers-style plan where you can buy all the popular breads at once. Amazing. The Kuoen store had so many things I wanted to buy, it was dangerous. Thank you for the meal! I want to go again!

My favorite bakery. I found out last time that there is a onigiri shop called Donguri attached to the Odori store. The chikuwa bread is famous, but all the bread looks delicious and is surprisingly cheap for the amount you get. The recent Hokkaido souvenir is the Butter Cheese Cream Sandwich in the photo. It's the best.

Next to Sapporo Station, on the first floor of the AEON Kuwazono store, you'll find Donguri-san. They have a wide variety of freshly baked breads, including a variety of bagels that can make it hard to choose. Even though the recent rise in ingredient costs has resulted in less filling than expected, the breads are still quite substantial. If you're looking for flavorful sandwiches, this may not be the best option.

I was exploring the food court looking for a snack when I saw a sign at Don Guri-san advertising their "Summer Festival." Intrigued, I decided to stop by. The Vienna sausage yakisoba roll, with its B-grade charm, caught my eye and I couldn't resist buying it. I quickly sat down at the food court and dug in. The long Vienna sausages were cut in half lengthwise, so the portion size wasn't overwhelming and it felt more like a light snack. The yakisoba noodles had a mild sauce, making it easy to eat. I will definitely be coming back for this again.

"Do you know about 'Chikuwa Pan'? Even though I don't eat bread much, I know that it originates from 'Donq' and is quite popular in Hokkaido. Today, I bought some 'Donq' bread in the shape of acorns for my cute niece. She loves the 'Donq' chiffon cake the most. It's fluffy, moist, and has a gentle sweetness. I haven't tried it myself though. The new product, 'Nori Cheese Chikuwa Pan,' is apparently popular at 'Donq.' I couldn't find it, so I'll have to pass on it this time. The original 'Chikuwa Pan' uses chikuwa with tuna mayo, but this new product contains cheese-filled chikuwa tempura. Is it delicious? I don't know."

Yuran loves chikuwa bread! Speaking of chikuwa bread, Hokkaido chikuwa bread comes to mind. It's a chikuwa stuffed with plenty of tuna mayo and wrapped in bread dough. At food fairs, you often see Pulman Bakery, which has salmon mayo and onions inside. There's a bakery somewhere that puts cheese in their chikuwa bread. Many bakeries add their own unique twist, but the original is the chikuwa bread with tuna mayo. Yuran has been a fan since discovering it, and although prices have gone up slightly, it's still affordable for the average person. Normally, Yuran goes to Lutrois for chikuwa bread, but this time happened to pass by this place. When holding the chikuwa bread, it usually feels heavy on the tongs, but this time it didn't feel as substantial. Upon eating, it was clear that there was less tuna mayo filling. It's understandable given the current situation, but it's a bit disappointing as it doesn't fill you up like it used to. It's still better than the lackluster chikuwa bread from Fuji Pan, but Yuran hopes for the day when the generous amount of tuna mayo returns. Price hikes can make everything less enjoyable, yo!

I visited "Acorn Sweets Kuwan Farm Store" on February 8th. It was my first visit to this bakery. I like this bakery for the quality of their bread and how easy it is to get. I still feel sad that they withdrew from Asao Aeon. Today, I bought the following items: - Skewered Zangi for 345 yen - French fruit sandwich for 270 yen - Mentaiko France for 172 yen - Bag for 2 yen I have been interested in fruit sandwiches lately, so I chose the French fruit sandwich. I was also tempted by the aromatic chicken burger for 356 yen, but I decided on the fruit sandwich. The French fruit sandwich is a unique menu item at this store. When I tried it, I found that it was actually French toast with a light texture and a thick slice. The French toast was cut into triangles, filled with cream, and topped with oranges, pineapples, and kiwis. It was delicious, but I felt that it was not the best fruit sandwich I've had. This is the fourth "Acorn" store I have visited, and I noticed that the store's signage and concept are consistent across all locations. I wonder if they have a central design team or if they outsource their designs. I would love to talk to their designer. Thank you for the meal.

Founded in 1983, this popular long-standing bakery in Sapporo has about 10 locations in the city. One of their specialties is the "Chikuwa Pan," which is a bread filled with chikuwa and tuna salad. The balance of flavors is delicious, with the chikuwa specially ordered from Kibun Foods. In addition to the Chikuwa Pan, they offer a variety of other bread options such as Bacon Egg, Cream Pan, Cinnamon Roll, and Taiwanese Castella. While the other breads may not be particularly exceptional, they have a nostalgic and unique quality to them. The bakery recently started offering delivery services, and I hope they continue to thrive for a long time.

First visit in October 2022 to the "Lazy Series at Home". Sometimes I buy "Zangi" as a quick meal, and I find that there are more items from "Okoyoko" at Marui-san or "Donguri" at Le Trois. There was also "Donguri" at AEON Kuwanazono store. It's a good opportunity, so let's prepare some snacks for drinking at night. "Skewered Zangi" for 320 yen. For some reason, the Zangi is skewered. Although Zangi is originally a home-cooked dish, my husband and I find it convenient to buy it when we feel like eating a little. The Zangi from Donguri is large, and two pieces are enough. Donguri, the originator of "Chikuwa Pan," also has delicious and reasonably priced bread, but surprisingly, their Zangi is also good.

Soyoen store is my second visit. The layout and presentation of the products inside the store are very well done, making everything look delicious, so I end up buying something every time (lol). Today, I purchased an apple pie, which I have tried a few times before, and a chestnut-themed bagel, which doesn't have a good reputation at Donguri-san. - Apple Pie (194 yen): It was quite tasty. The pie crust was good. - Chestnut-themed Bagel (216 yen): Covered with a lot of poppy seeds to resemble chestnuts, it looks cute but they fall off easily. Despite being a bagel, the dough lacked the flavor of wheat, and the overall composition was not good. I couldn't taste the chestnut at all. It was recommended, so I bought it, but I think it's best to enjoy a bagel at a store that specializes in bagels. Thank you for the meal!

When I went to the mulberry orchard area for errands, I also bought bread at the Aeon Kuwanazono store for the next morning! I wonder if Donguri-san can be found anywhere? The bagel corner had a wide variety of options and looked fun! But I didn't buy any (*´艸`) My friend who came with me bought 6 pieces, which was impressive for one person. I bought 4 items: "Bean Bread" (75 yen), a small-sized bread with a little sweet red bean paste, "Melon Bread" (118 yen), a melon bread with a retro feel, "Salt Bread" (108 yen), a small and light salt bread for a Donguri store, and "Rice Petit Bread" (75 yen), which was made with rice flour and was deliciously chewy and fluffy! I will definitely use it again at another branch! Thank you, Kuwanazono store♪

Taiwanese castella seems to have passed its peak in popularity for a while now. I've tried a few different kinds and my favorite is the Taiwanese castella for 300 yen. It's not too sweet, but still has a nice sweetness to it. The fluffy and moist texture is just perfect in my opinion. Whenever I go to Donguri, I always make sure to look for it and buy it.

Matcha and cherry blossom oyaki have a spring-like flavor with cherry blossom paste and cherry blossom whipped cream. The matcha bread is made with rice flour, so it has an amazing chewy texture that I love. The acorn rice flour bread is really delicious, with plenty of butter and cheese. When warmed up, the bread becomes fluffy and soft. It's similar to French bread but chewier and really tasty when warmed up. The cinnamon roll is different from the chocolate Noel, as it is quite firm when eaten as is. So I recommend microwaving it for about 1 minute. Heating it for only 30 seconds didn't warm it up much. It has a crunchy texture with nuts in addition to the cinnamon sugar, and the glaze and filling are just right, making it as delicious as the Noel. The Taiwanese castella is fluffy and moist, with an addictive quality. It's irresistibly soft and fluffy, and has a satisfying texture when eaten. The corn salt bread with cream cheese and berries is ==========

Mainland Chicken & Mac 'N Cheese (from another restaurant menu) The cheddar cheese macaroni is rich and creamy, with just the right balance! There's no additional sauce, which I like because I'm not a fan of mayonnaise. If you eat it at home, try adding some Tabasco for extra flavor. The buns are soft and fluffy. Forest Milk Salt Bread The sweet milk cream filling is firm and pairs perfectly with the saltiness of the bread. It's incredibly delicious. Sweet Miso Salt Bread This bread is topped with sweet miso and sesame, making it a unique snack that's reminiscent of rice balls. It's really tasty. Taiwanese Castella Cake (without cream) This cake is light and fluffy, similar to chiffon cake but with a denser and moister texture. Mini Croissant Edamame Tear Bread (???) When I visited Sogo Ion, I saw a display of Taiwanese Castella cakes being promoted as "the latest trend." They were lined up neatly and in a size that seemed manageable to finish, so I decided to order one to take home. Compared to regular Castella cakes, it had a very fluffy texture, almost like a chiffon cake. The taste was simple and sweet. It might be delicious to try it with some whipped cream or jam for a different flavor. If I come across any other interesting bread or pastries at Donq, I will review them as well. Thank you for the meal.

In the Sapporo Kuwon store area, there is a bakery called "Donguri" on the first floor of Aeon Sapporo Kuwon store. I bought some bread for home while shopping at Aeon. Donguri is popular at all their locations, and this one is no exception. They have a wide variety of bread, and they were constantly baking new ones. The place was packed with customers, and the bread was selling like hotcakes. Donguri is famous for their "chikuwa bread," but this time I bought the "salt bread (102 yen)" and the "croissant (156 yen)." All the bread I bought was delicious. The prices are reasonable overall, making it a great choice for everyday use.

I heard about the dedication to chikuwa in the chikuwa bread from my brother Wu-ta, and it made me want to try chikuwa bread! So I went to Donguri for the first time and encountered freshly made chikuwa bread!!! Eating chikuwa bread fresh like this is so delicious... I tried eating it while being conscious of the chikuwa, and it was indeed a bit different from the chikuwa I usually eat, softer... with less elasticity, making it easier to eat... It feels like it's been a while since I've had this kind of side dish bread (ΦωΦ) It's reassuring, isn't it? The Kuwanen store limited edition Keema curry hot sandwich, the official name was longer but I forgot it /(^o^)\ Donguri's bread names are all so similar and long, aren't they? I tried eating sandwich bread for the first time, and it was sweet and moist, really delicious. The filling included Keema curry (not spicy at all, just a hint of spiciness), tomatoes (a type with a distinct shape), thick-cut bacon (satisfyingly thick but thin), and cheese (a small amount/melty). It was packed with ingredients. It had a reliable, stable taste (つ^o^)つ The chewy edamame bread (forgot the official name) from the Donguri's chewy bread series is so chewy, it's almost like mochi. I warmed it up before eating. The dough is so chewy, almost like mochi. It's a bit of a mystery. I was drawn in by the fact that it sells well, but the taste was as expected. Thin bacon was folded inside (ΦωΦ) I wish there was more cheese to enhance the flavor. I would have been happy if there were more edamame in it. It's been a while since I've had Donguri's bread, but it was reliably delicious! I also became interested in their fruit sandwiches, daifuku, xiaolongbao, and the rare hard bread at Donguri. Thank you, Wu-ta! (((orz

In Sapporo, there is a familiar bakery. I bought cookies and bread for 291 yen. The cookie was a walnut cookie with a simple taste. It's a good deal to get this many cookies for that price. I also got a Camembert cheese-filled sweet potato mochi (151 yen), which is not bread but a mochi with cheese inside. Surprisingly, the cheese goes well with it. It was freshly made, so it was delicious when eaten hot. Thank you for the meal.

I have been organizing my drafts that have been lying around like debris for a long time every day, but I don't seem to be very motivated to review them. Tomorrow, on Sunday, I plan to go to a shop where I can hopefully make some progress with my writing. I have used "Acorn Kuwanen Store" a few times before... It's a popular shop, but personally, I'm not very interested in it. My wife brought home "Fish Sandwich x2" which I quite like. It gives me a bit of heartburn after eating it though. It's wrapped in just a piece of paper, so it's hard to maintain its shape to begin with, but carrying it around for a long time has made it even more misshapen. The fried suketoudara with a rich and strong tartar sauce, and the soft and moist bread are the highlights. Acorn's deli breads tend to have strong flavors, which some people may like, but it may not be suitable for those who prefer plain flavors. I would be happy if they could offer more hard bread options though. I will probably end up visiting one of their stores again in the future. Thank you for the meal.

In Sapporo in February, there are many places I want to visit, and one of them is Don Guri Kuwanen Shop in Sapporo area. Don Guri is a well-known bakery in Sapporo with 10 stores in Sapporo and one in Ebetsu. They are known for their wide variety of bread, especially their signature "chikuwa bread." They excel in product development, hospitality, supply of goods, and sales at individual stores. I observe the shop regularly and this time I bought their shokupan, bacon epi, garlic French bread, and garlic butter potato baguette. The garlic butter potato baguette was a bit different than expected, but the others were delicious as always. Despite the tough situation due to the pandemic, I want to support the food industry in Sapporo, and Don Guri has been doing a great job with their COVID-19 measures, such as individually packaging their products. They are really working hard. Thank you for the meal once again!

【Acorn】Kuwazono Store "Wild Vegetable and Ume Bread" I was drawn to the catchphrase "Just like onigiri!" and decided to purchase it (°▽°) The chewy dough is packed with wild vegetables. Occasionally, you'll find crispy texture of plum and cheese. The seaweed on the outside adds a nice touch♪ Since the filling is packed so tightly, in some places, it's almost all filling, so it may taste slightly salty in those areas...(^_^;) This is just my personal opinion, but... among the prepared foods, I might like this one (^_^)♪♪
