A friend from Hokuriku came to visit, so I took them to introduce them to Ramen Salad. We started with a classic toast. For our order, we got Ramen Salad, Genghis Khan (grilled lamb), and edamame. My friend was impressed by the classic drink first. They were very curious about the Ramen Salad and were surprised to find pickles instead of cucumbers, but they enjoyed it. It was also my friend's first time trying Genghis Khan, and they were pleased with it as well. The restaurant was quite lively, but we could talk freely without worrying about others overhearing. We had a great time chatting and enjoying our meal!

Today's second bowl of ramen. Visited the restaurant for a big party. A must-try is definitely the ramen salad. This is actually my second time trying it, and it's incredibly delicious. It's hard to believe this is my second bowl today, it's that good. A ramen that you can eat as many bowls as you want. That's the conclusion. I will definitely come back again.

Visited for lunch and had the Iron Plate Neapolitan Spaghetti for ¥1,200 (tax and service charge included). The noodles were thick and the tomato flavor was decently tasty. The portion size was generous and filling. There aren't many options, but the drink bar being all-you-can-drink was nice. However, being in a hotel, the price for Neapolitan might be a bit high.

I visited for lunch. I found this place in a magazine, so I might not have known about it if I hadn't seen the magazine. I ordered the "Katsu Curry" from the lunch menu. It comes with cup soup, salad, and pickles. I didn't notice on the menu, but it also comes with a drink bar. The Katsu Curry is delicious and spicy. It also comes with a soft-boiled egg, which is rare. I would like to come back to try other menu items. Thank you for the meal!

The restaurant inside Sapporo Grand Hotel is known for its delicious food. When I went there for breakfast, it was very crowded. Breakfast is served in a buffet style, so especially for families with children, there is a wide variety of food options for everyone to enjoy.

I stayed at this hotel and visited by reservation. The interior was larger than I expected and I was able to relax. It was a bit difficult to understand the daily specials, but the crab and dried fish that you can grill at your table were delicious. Even though it's a hotel, the prices were like those of a regular izakaya? It's nice that it's spacious and clean, making it easy to visit casually!

Third visit. I chose this beer hall with plenty of space between tables to relax with a friend I hadn't seen in a while. It seems like the menu has decreased since last time? But since the number of items we can order is limited anyway, there's no need for a huge menu. Just give me the confident dishes and I'll be satisfied. The beer, ice-cold in the glass, is delicious no matter when you drink it. As for the appetizers, I forgot the official name, but... the grilled sandwich of horse mackerel and potatoes in tomato sauce was tasty. The tomato sauce was light and the potatoes were sweet and delicious. The horse mackerel was a bit overcooked though. The gnocchi in white sauce was perfectly done, with chewy gnocchi and a not too heavy or too light white sauce. And of course, the ramen salad that you can't miss here. This time, the pickles were the highlight, almost like they were saying "this is not chilled Chinese noodles" (laughs). It was an eye-opening accent. You can choose between Italian or French red wine by the glass, and I chose Italian, which was delicious. Maybe because there are many foreigners, the menu with photos was easy to understand.

The beer is delicious as expected. The food menu is also extensive and offers consistently tasty dishes. It's a safe and reliable choice for a restaurant at the Grand Hotel in Sapporo, a place I would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Breakfast buffet was used, and it seems that the specialty is the seared dishes, but scallops and other items were sold out early. The other menu items were nothing special... all for ¥2800 (lol)

I went to the breakfast buffet at Sapporo Grand Hotel! It costs 2000 yen for guests staying at the hotel. For non-guests, it's 2800 yen. It's a bit pricey, but it's a prestigious hotel after all! As soon as you enter, there's a grilling station where the chef grills food right in front of you. It's a great performance! They had large shiitake mushrooms, which were delicious! I love shiitake mushrooms. They also had Hokkaido specialties like ramen salad and chan-chan-yaki. The ramen salad was unique and addictive. I want to try making it at home. I tried chan-chan-yaki for the first time and it was delicious! Thick miso-grilled salmon? So good! They also had grilled shishamo and mackerel. The mackerel was fatty and tasty. The rice was also delicious! I forgot where it was from, but they used good rice from Hokkaido. It's great when the rice is tasty. The highlight was the seafood bowl! Salmon, octopus, sweet shrimp on top of rice, a seafood bowl! So much salmon in the morning! I felt so happy. There were plenty of side dishes next to the rice. The Nanban miso goes well with everything! Just that can make you eat multiple bowls of rice. They also had soup curry! The fried potatoes were incredibly delicious. I ate a lot. They had Hokkaido drinks like Katsugen and milk. The bread was also delicious! The salad bar had plenty of fruits. There was watermelon too! Lychee and pineapple as well. For dessert, I mixed yogurt with fruits. The honey was a nice addition. It's a bit pricey for breakfast at over 2000 yen, but you can enjoy Hokkaido gourmet food, so sometimes indulging in such a luxurious breakfast is worth it. But at this price, I wish they had included salmon roe too. Ah, I'm so full! The fried potatoes were so delicious!

This is "Big Jockey". I was guided to the breakfast venue on the 1st floor of the annex of Sapporo Grand Hotel. A la carte menu!? Although it's a buffet, it seems like they have a menu with prices listed, which is a strange setup. The interior is very simple and elegant. It feels like the cherry blossom season has long passed, but in Hokkaido, May is the season for cherry blossoms. The highlight of this venue is the "grilled" corner, where the chef grills and serves the food. The salad bar is quite ordinary, similar to what you would find in Ion's restaurant district. The original ramen salad, a local specialty, is prominently displayed and quickly replenished, making it a recommended menu item. The drink bar offers various options like milk and natural water, but the must-try here is the "Katsugen". They have started serving morning beer, which sounds like a fun indulgence. I would have been tempted to relax in the hotel room with a drink if there was a hot spring in the hotel. The dish is inspired by the famous "Touige no Ageimo" from Nakayama Pass. First, I chose from the grilled corner, then enjoyed the typical buffet items. I particularly enjoy the potato salad. I also love the crispy texture of the pickled mountain yam. I always buy seasonal pickles like "Yamato-ya's Modemaki" when I find them locally. I tend to get carried away with the buffet and start adding extra toppings to dishes like soup curry. I come from the prefecture where Cocoichi originated, so customizing curry with toppings is a must. In a corner of the seafood buffet, I found a self-serve seafood bowl station where you can top your rice with seafood. I made a seafood bowl and enjoyed it with wasabi soy sauce, spicy cod roe, and as is. To finish off, I lost count of how many cups I had, but I ended the meal with a Katsugen drink. I know it's not good to consume too much lactic acid bacteria drink in a day, but I couldn't resist because I love drinks like Pilkul and Yoghurt.
