We visited a yakiniku restaurant with my partner. We ordered the popular salt 4 kinds platter, seafood platter, and premium Jingisukan. I had a large rice while my partner had stone-grilled seafood bibimbap. The bibimbap had a delicious flavor of cod roe. The rice was large but I wished there was more. My companion suddenly had a craving for beef tongue, so we decided to go for yakiniku since we had sushi the day before. We arrived around 8:30 PM and the restaurant was quite crowded. We ordered: - Popular sauce assortment (5 types) - 2,980 yen - Premium salted beef tongue - 998 yen - Assorted kimchi - 450 yen - Hearty salted cabbage - 380 yen - Rice (large) - 280 yen x 2 - Half portion of Morioka cold noodles - 530 yen The popular sauce assortment included juicy kalbi, premium jingisukan, select premium harami, sagari, and pot-pickled pork kalbi, along with grilled vegetables. The pot-pickled pork kalbi with miso flavor was delicious. The select premium harami was also tasty. The sauce was thin and didn't cling too much to the meat. The premium salted beef tongue was good, but the salt on the table was too hard and clumpy. The assorted kimchi was tasty, especially the radish with a hint of sweetness. The hearty salted cabbage was easy to eat with cabbage and sesame oil mixed well. The half portion of Morioka cold noodles was ordered by my companion who loves cold noodles. The noodles were slightly thick with a chewy texture. The soup had a strong acidity, according to my companion. The only downside was the loud noise from the staff cleaning up. We later ordered more because we were still hungry, including jar-marinated kalbi and jar-marinated pork kalbi. The jar-marinated kalbi, jar-marinated pork kalbi, and premium lamb were especially delicious. The thick-cut meat satisfied my carnivorous cravings. My partner seemed pleased with the pork as well. In recent years, I haven't really felt like having yakiniku, probably because of my age. But a colleague who is moving away invited me out with two other people to a yakiniku restaurant. It's hard to get a reservation on weekends in Kushiro, but we finally found a place called Abandon Kushiro Showa Branch. It's part of the same group as Nagoyakatei and Katsuzen (Three Star Restaurant System). The atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice. We started with drinks - they had a large draft beer which got us excited. We ordered two large draft beers and one person opted for the drink bar (which is free) as they were driving. The beer was cold and delicious. For the food, we let the driver choose. We got the 4500 yen "Bozenn Jomori" set, Caesar salad, and the driver got a large serving of rice. The Caesar salad was pretty standard. When the "Bozenn Jomori" set arrived, we were a bit surprised at the price, but the meat was delicious. We wondered if it was cheap or expensive, but it felt a bit on the pricier side. The meat included in the set was high-quality and tasty. We ended the meal with a few more drinks and then headed to the colleague's house for an after-party.

I went to lunch. One person ordered a katsu curry set, and three of us shared a photo set, salted cabbage, one meat dish, and rice, which left us satisfied at about 80% full. The soft drinks were just right for lunch. We opted for a private room, but the ceiling was open, so we were slightly bothered by the noise from the neighboring room.
