[Takeout] Seicomart, the strongest convenience store chain in the north, has successfully fended off the aggressive expansion of various outside capital convenience store chains. One secret to surviving in Hokkaido, where it is disadvantageous to expand widely due to constraints from headquarters, pushy sales tactics, and high fees, is offering freshly cooked bento boxes for sale, including the popular Hot Chef. The store is located about 1km from the T-intersection of the Usu National Highway (Route 453) and Hokkaido Route 86, heading towards Sobetsu Town.
On my first visit at 4:00 pm on September 2, I managed to find my way to Mogutan Horohoro Sanso despite the unexpectedly challenging route. After purchasing various items, I headed back to the hotel. I bought a 2L bottle of Aquarius sports drink for 168 yen, Seicomart's original Strong Sour Golden Pine for 108 yen, two 500ml bottles of Sapporo Classic for 562 yen, a salmon onigiri from Hot Chef for 190 yen, black vinegar sweet and sour meatballs for 118 yen, and fried chicken breast for 118 yen. Once I checked in and entered my room, I brewed tea and enjoyed the onigiri. Although a bit pricey, it was delicious.
After dinner, I alternated between the hot spring, sours, and beer to relax and prevent dehydration. This is my way of detoxing to minimize fatigue the next day. The combination of spending hours in the hot spring, drinking alcohol, and replenishing electrolytes with sports drinks serves as my secret detox method. The results of this detox routine will be shared in another review soon. Lastly, Seicomart's original sour was more sweet than strong, and Hot Chef's handmade dishes depend on the cook but generally offer a consistent taste.
