★Handmade Hamburg Lunch for 626 yen in October 2018
It's been 25 years since I last visited Victoria. The ramen shop I wanted to go to for lunch at 3 pm on a weekday was closed (>_<) It was difficult to find a place open at this time, so I decided to go to the nearby Victoria. Even at this time, it was full of older ladies! It seems to have become a place for local residents to relax? When I was a teenager living alone, I used to go there often. My friends and I would go for a meal at Victoria, where we could get a cheap hamburger or chicken for around 500 yen. Back then, my goal was to become an adult who could afford to eat a steak that cost around 1,000 yen (*´艸`*) And now, after many years have passed, I have become an adult who can afford to spend around 1,000 yen, but unfortunately, my stomach can no longer handle such large portions. From the lunch menu, I chose the cheapest option, the "Handmade Hamburg" for 580 yen (excluding tax), which comes with rice, curry, and soup bar. Ultimately, I ended up eating the same cheap meal as before. I decided not to order the salad bar after seeing a child poking tomatoes with their bare hands (^^;) While waiting for the hamburg, I had the appetizer of curry rice. The curry sauce was a bit runny and the ingredients included potatoes, carrots, onions, and minced meat, giving it a taste similar to a commercial product. No complaints, though. The soup consisted of Chinese-style and corn soup, both in small portions. I tried both and they were fine. The sizzling hamburg was about 150g and was soft and had no particular taste. It went well with the onion sauce and white rice. For this price, I can't complain at all. Thank you for the meal (^ω^)
