It's the year of the dog, but I went for a medical check-up and the doctor scolded me for having high triglycerides. It's my body, so why get so angry about it? I've had high triglycerides since I was young, and when it went over 2000, the doctor threatened me saying "You're already dead." Two years ago, it was at 800 and when I said I had yakiniku the day before the check-up, the doctor scolded me saying "You're joking if you eat yakiniku the day before a check-up." This year, with a different doctor, I still got scolded. Two years ago, I lost 2kg from walking and after three months, it was back to normal, so I thought I could manage it if I lost weight. This year, I went for the check-up weighing less than before, so I felt relieved. From the next day onwards, I started walking. During my walk, I found a new restaurant that had opened. It used to be a soba shop that closed down due to poor business, then turned into an izakaya, which also closed down. After a while, it reopened in a new location. I visited on the second day of its opening, and although I arrived at 5:05 pm for the 5:00 pm opening, the sign said "Preparing." I went in to ask what time they would open and they let me in. The restaurant's name seemed to be taken from a festival in Morioka, the owner's hometown. They had an all-you-can-drink option for 1,680 yen, which my wife chose. The food was decent, but the prices were a bit high. The skewers were expensive, and the kaki fry was small. The oysters were from Senhoji, which was surprising. Overall, the food was average, but the prices were on the higher side. The service was good, but the bill ended up being quite expensive. I would rate it 3.3 out of 5.
