"Menya Sho" I am alone in Kushiro. Last night, I was drinking with my wife, who left in the morning for work. I have been on a losing streak, trying to conquer all the soba shops in Kushiro, feeling quite discouraged after six consecutive losses. Today, I am thinking of having ramen. There is a ramen shop that relocated, and I had tried their ramen before at their old location, so I had excluded them from my ramen conquest list. However, I have heard mixed reviews about their new location, with some saying the taste has deteriorated. So, I decided to give it another try. The shop has four parking spaces, and the ticket machine instructs you to buy your meal first. The counter has five seats, and they offer a menu item for 700 yen, which is quite reasonable. I chose a fish and pork bone ramen, even though I should have probably chosen the rich option, considering the shop's reputation. The soup did not look promising, and the noodles were not the typical Kushiro style. However, despite the initial firmness, the noodles were surprisingly delicious. The toppings were decent, and the soup had a good balance of flavors, although it lacked the strong taste I was expecting. Overall, the ramen was quite tasty, but it left me wondering if the rich version would have been even better. The shop had a good atmosphere, and the service was efficient. I felt satisfied with the meal, but the loud noise made by another customer blowing their nose after finishing their meal left me feeling a bit annoyed. After finishing my meal, I realized that the soup was surprisingly sweet, probably due to the onions. It was a decent ramen experience, and it made me curious to try the rich version next time."
