I usually like the raw tsukune, and although the takeout version was different, it still had a fine texture and was soft. However, I didn't like the salt sauce. Surprisingly, the Bibai-style yakitori was a hidden gem. The chicken breast, intentionally made a bit dry, was tender. The citrusy sauce added a nice touch. Although there is a popular yakitori place claiming to be the best in Japan, this place is just as good in quality. Overall, it's a good option for regular visits.

I visited the yakitori restaurant that opened along the Route 36 on January 36, 2022, after reading about it on MyRebi's article. I bought the Red Hot Akazangi. I will have it as a side dish for my evening drink. The chicken thigh meat is tender and the coating is light. In October 2021, a small tea house closed down, and in its place, the yakitori and side dish shop "Homura" opened in Bibai. I went to Hokuyo to withdraw my salary and found out that they were opening today! There was quite a long line, but if you find it, you have to line up, right? I purchased my favorite salted zangi, a pack of spring rolls, and a pack of shiitake stuffed with meat fry (2 packs for 540 yen) for a total of 3 items. The "Salted Zangi" (540 yen) was overflowing in the pack! It uses chicken breast meat, so there are no tendons or skin, making it soft and delicious. The "Spring Rolls" (4 pieces in a pack for 320 yen) have a filling of minced pork, glass noodles, shiitake mushrooms, and bamboo shoots with a strong flavor, making them delicious even without any dipping sauce. They are pre-fried, so they may be a bit soft, but if you reheat them in a toaster oven, the skin becomes crispy and tasty. The "Shiitake Stuffed with Meat Fry" (5 pieces for 400 yen) has thick shiitake mushrooms that are delicious, but the meat stuffing seemed more like a paste.
