Deep Mountain Ice Workshop @ Biei Deep Mountain Pass is an ice cream shop. Due to Corona, they are not serving cones. I had two scoops in a double cup. The lavender flavor has a strong lavender aroma that spreads in your mouth. The haskap berry flavor is mixed with milk, giving it a delicious acidity. The pumpkin flavor is rich and has a very intense aftertaste. The matcha flavor has a moderate sweetness.

"The gelato has a mix of milk and haskap flavors. The gentle sweetness of the milk and the sweet and sour taste of the haskap blend well together and taste delicious."

Next stop after Shikisai no Oka is the Furanotoge Art Park in Kami-Furano Town. It suddenly became extremely hot when we arrived. The tour guide gave us a discount coupon at the beginning of the bus ride and recommended the gelato at the ice cream shop. I tried the double scoop of haskap and pumpkin flavors, and it was delicious! There are usually daily special flavors available, but they don't make them during busy times. Inside the art park, there is a Ferris wheel that no one was riding due to the heat, so it was just moving empty. I climbed up to the observation deck next to it and enjoyed a similar view to a quarter of the Ferris wheel. It was a clear and sunny day, which was nice. Next to the parking lot is the Trick Art Museum.

I went to a Trick Art exhibition for the first time! After that, I rode a Ferris wheel and stopped by the gelato shop next to it. The shop is very spacious, almost like a place where you can also enjoy yakiniku. They had a unique buckwheat ice cream, which my partner chose without hesitation. I was torn between pumpkin and blueberry, but ended up choosing the blueberry in a cup. It was very generous in size and beautifully served by a cute lady. It was quite a challenge to eat after having Santa's belly, but it was not too sweet and had a distinct buckwheat flavor. It was delicious! I hope more shops in Sapporo will offer this. It was quite cold there! I wished I could have had a bite of the yakiniku the guy next to me was eating, it smelled so good. Thank you for the meal!

I stopped by here on a day trip bus tour on July 21, 2014 and had the seasonal melon gelato. Even before taking a bite, the color was so beautiful that it got me excited. When I tried it, it didn't disappoint - it was incredibly delicious. The taste of the melon and the refreshing sweetness were just perfect. I highly recommend this gelato. I want to try the haskap flavor next time.

During my visit to Furano, I felt like having some ice cream, so I decided to visit a place that was featured in a magazine for their delicious ice cream. I tried the Yogurt flavor for 300 yen, and it was refreshing and tasty! The ice cream had finely chopped peaches in it, which added a nice refreshing touch. I don't usually come across yogurt-flavored ice cream, so it was quite unique. I also tried the Haskap flavor for 300 yen, and although I was hoping for a stronger flavor, it turned out to be creamy with a lingering aftertaste. Personally, I prefer ice cream with a strong fruity flavor, but I think some people might actually prefer this creamy type. The prices were 300 yen for a single scoop and 500 yen for a double scoop, but I felt the double scoop wasn't the best value. In fact, most customers seemed to prefer ordering a single scoop.

When I visited Furano and Biei, I stopped by to have gelato on the way from Biei to Furano. ★I had honey gelato for 300 yen. It has a milk base, but you can definitely taste the honey with a refreshing aftertaste. ★My friend had pumpkin gelato for 300 yen. It has a rich and intense pumpkin flavor. The outdoor deck is quite spacious with a nice view. It was not crowded as it was a weekday, and the parking lot is also spacious as it is on the same premises as the Trick Art Museum.

Deep in the mountains, we stopped by the Shinzan Pass on a bus tour. It's like a roadside station with a Trick Art Museum, barbecue area, observatory, and Ferris wheel. The tour guide recommended trying the gelato, which had flavors like lavender from Furano and Hokkaido specialties like haskap and pumpkin. A single scoop was only 300 yen, and they also had double scoops available. I opted for the lavender gelato in a cone, which was surprisingly delicious with a nice fragrance. It was a cute presentation with thin layers of gelato stacked on top of each other. Enjoying the gelato while gazing at the Tokachi Mountains was a delightful experience.
