The restaurant is located about a 5-minute walk from the Konan Exit of Shinagawa Station, on the basement level of the NBF Shinagawa Tower. It's great that you can go from the station without getting wet on rainy days. The place just opened last year, so it’s very clean and bright. Since it was just two of us women, we decided to order a la carte. We started with a toast of draft beer and grated lemon sour! We managed to catch the happy hour before 6:00 PM, so our first drinks were only 110 yen (excluding tax)! As beer lovers, we couldn't resist ordering two before the vegetable rolls arrived.
While waiting, we had some simple appetizers:
- **Smoked Potato Salad**: The potato salad was surprisingly pink! This color comes from beets. It’s visually appealing and has a robust smoked flavor. It looks cute and tastes great!
- **Goma Kanpachi**: A Fukuoka specialty, this features fresh kanpachi (amberjack) mixed with a sweet sesame soy sauce, perfect for enjoying with drinks.
- **Dogenne Vegetable Salad**: This was a favorite for one of us. It included sweet potatoes, zucchini, tomatoes, onions, fried vegetables, and plenty of leafy greens. The veggies were so sweet and delicious, we finished it all!
Next, the main dish of vegetable rolls arrived:
- **Five Types of Vegetable Rolls**: We had green onion, tomato, yam and shiso, shiitake, and eringi mushroom rolls. They were packed with vegetables and had ample portions. They looked even better than in the photos and were hot and very satisfying! The yam and shiso roll was especially delicious.
We also tried a seasonal sour drink:
- **Seasonal Sour**: I highly recommend the Shine Muscat Sour, which had lots of Shine Muscat grapes in it! It had a refreshing acidity and just the right amount of sweetness, making it very addictive. It’s a limited-time and limited-quantity offering, so get it while you can!
Next up were skewers:
- **Five Types of Skewers**: Since we enjoyed the vegetable rolls, we got some skewers too! This included chicken skin, chicken breast, gizzard, bonjiri (tail), and pork belly. The sauce was to my liking and delicious!
The drinks here are cute and tasty:
- **KuruKuru Super Berry Good & Emerald Apple**: This comes with a cute marshmallow stick that can also be used as a muddler. It’s lightly alcoholic, fun to eat, and delicious. The marshmallow stick is edible too.
To finish off, we had the restaurant's signature dish:
- **Sea Bream Chazuke**: We enjoyed the sea bream lightly with broth. For dessert, I went with something sweet:
- **Sweet Potato Honey Butter**: This dessert uses the natural sweetness of sweet potatoes, making it just sweet enough for after drinks, and it was delicious.
Thank you for the meal! Everyone at the restaurant was friendly, and every dish was tasty, leaving both of us very satisfied. I would definitely recommend this place for a girls' night out or a date.
