I met up with my reviewer friends in Shinagawa for the first time in a while and made a reservation to enjoy some vegetable rolls. When I visited Fukuoka, a local friend took me to a place that served vegetable rolls and offal hot pot, and I thought, "I wish there was a place like this in Kanto!" So, as soon as I found this restaurant, I quickly made a reservation. We kicked things off with a toast over draft beer and then had a warm appetizer of chawanmushi, which is especially comforting as the weather gets colder. The staff then explained the vegetable rolls, and it felt just like the place in Fukuoka, which was thrilling! We selected from a box full of vegetable rolls: - **Maguro Namekko:** Chopped pickled daikon is included, wrapped in seaweed, delivering a delightful flavor. - **Sesame Kanpachi:** Recommended by the staff, it was rich and delicious! - **Salmon Tempura with Ikura:** The salmon tempura was nicely fried, making it really tasty. - **Asparagus Roll:** Asparagus paired with pork is great. - **Bunching Onion:** The crunchiness is simply lovely. - **Spinach with Cheese and Bacon:** This goes well with wine. - **Pork Belly with Shiso:** My favorite one! - **Gyudon Skewers:** Perfect with the egg yolk mixed in. We also tried a **"Berry Good Sour"** drink, which looked great for photos, mixed with marshmallows. - **Lettuce Roll:** Another light but rich option. For our finale, we ordered **Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen** as a late-night treat, which turned out to be an incredibly delicious miso tonkotsu ramen—definitely a must-try! We finished with **homemade pudding.** My friend insisted on getting one each as a "separate stomach" treat, and it was delicious enough to warrant the visit all on its own! **Summary:** This restaurant was a delightful surprise that matched my memories of the vegetable roll place from Fukuoka! The flavors were bold and tasty, and we were so full from eating and drinking that the price was very reasonable, making it likely to become popular in Kanto. My friends were also pleased! The staff was friendly, and it felt comfortable. I'll definitely come back next time for the offal hot pot. Thank you for the wonderful meal! The location is on the right side of the Konan exit. Walk through the covered skyway and enter the building before FamilyMart. Once you reach B1F via the escalator, walk straight down the right corridor, and you'll find the restaurant on your right.

I entered the restaurant around 6 PM on a weekday and was able to get in smoothly. The interior is bright, spacious, and clean, with a simple design that feels calming. I was really curious about their original sour cocktails, so I ordered the "Kukuru Strawberry Berry Good Sour" and "Adult Strawberry Milk." The Berry Good Sour came garnished with a marshmallow. Both drinks were strawberry-flavored and quite sweet. Interestingly, I feel that sweet alcoholic drinks can hit harder on the alcohol content. However, both were so juice-like that I think even those who aren't fond of alcohol would find them easy to drink. As for the appetizers, we had a simple chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) with plenty of broth. The black pepper added a nice kick, which was interesting. Honestly, I think I chose the wrong drinks to start with, though! We also ordered a platter of various side dishes, perfect for pairing with sake or beer. It included smoked potato salad, vinegared chicken, tuna namero (minced tuna), and a combination of cream cheese and iburi-gakko (smoked daikon). The skewers we tried were all fairly large and satisfying, delivering good value. They were light and easy to keep eating. I had the pork belly skewers with sauce, but I think I would have preferred salt for a lighter taste. I love salmon tartare, so I ordered the tuna rare cut, which offered a different texture. It paired well with the shiba-zuke tartar sauce. We also had a mix of lean and marbled horse sashimi. While I enjoyed the marbled meat, I personally preferred the lean portion for its clean flavor and the umami of the meat. The sweet potato with honey butter had a natural sweetness and a crisp texture that was delightful. The chicken soboro (ground chicken) over rice was quite fluffy and soft, with just the right amount of soboro; it felt perfectly balanced in terms of portion. For dessert, we had a fondant chocolate that was more like a hard cake rather than a brownie. It wasn't gooey at all, but the chocolate flavor was still quite pronounced. Overall, the atmosphere of the restaurant was comfortable without being too noisy, and the menu offered a good balance of presentation and taste. I think it would be great for company gatherings. Thank you for a lovely meal!

The restaurant is located on the B1F of a building accessed from the Konan Exit of Shinagawa Station in Tokyo, along the pedestrian deck. The interior is spacious and clean. I ordered the grilled salmon with miso marinade set meal for 1,320 yen, which comes with bone broth soup. The small side dishes are a nice touch. The bone broth soup is delicious as well. You can also get a refill of rice.

On a Friday night, the izakayas around Shinagawa Station were crowded, and most places were fully booked. However, I managed to get a spot at a Hakata specialty restaurant, even if only for an hour and a half. They offer a wide variety of vegetable-wrapped skewers, including classics like green onions, lettuce, and tomatoes, as well as unique options like ramen wraps. The ordering process is done by scanning a QR code. I expected the skewers to take a while, but they were all served quickly. The interior of the restaurant is clean, and with plenty of vegetables on the menu, it's a great place for a girls' night out.

I went with four male friends from college, all 34 years old, and the food was better than I expected, with great service as well. However, I found it strange that they charged an appetizer fee even though we ordered a course meal—I've never experienced that before. If the timing works out, I would be happy to go again!

The dishes are all generously portioned and really fill you up! • Appetizer… a firm custard. • Tuna namero… it's already seasoned, so you can just pop it in your mouth. The chunky diced pickled daikon adds a delightful crunch! • Sesame yellowtail… the pieces are large and fantastic! • Salmon tempura… the fried parents and the tiny poppy kids. The bacon and cheese with spinach wrapped dish… a combination that guarantees deliciousness, accompanied by cherry tomatoes and asparagus… this is exactly what you want! Green onions… also a guaranteed delight! Sukiyaki… with a rich, runny egg yolk and enoki mushrooms rolled in! Pork belly wrapped in shiso… the meat is prominent with a nice shiso flavor! Cabbage… that's also a classic. The sweetness of the cabbage is lovely. Tai rice porridge… even just eaten as is, the tai is great. The broth is light yet luxurious in flavor. Pudding… it's firm and not overly sweet, exactly the kind of pudding I love. Thank you for the meal!

I chose this restaurant for a dinner with my dear friend! The location is about a five-minute walk from the Konan Exit of Shinagawa Station. The interior is stylish and spacious, creating a comfortable atmosphere! The menu features the signature dishes of vegetable-wrapped skewers and offal hot pot, along with a variety of other dishes. The drink selection includes carefully chosen sake, shochu, and wine, as well as a wide range of stylish sours that appeal to people of all ages. ✨ This time, we decided to order a lot and fully enjoy the meal! ✱ Offal hot pot (miso flavor) ✱ Nabe no shime champon noodles ✱ Plenty of vegetable-wrapped skewers ✱ Assorted appetizers ✱ Smoked potato salad ✱ Thick Unzen ham cutlet ✱ Sweet potato with honey butter ✱ Fig butter bread ✱ Fondant chocolate with vanilla ice cream. We started by cheering with seasonal fruit sours and ginger ale ✨ The seasonal fruit sour this time was Shine Muscat! It had plenty of chunks of fruit and the glass was cute, which made me happy! All the dishes were delicious! The vegetable-wrapped skewers were generous in size, and the lettuce wrap had crispy lettuce while the mentaiko cheese wrap had two sticks of mentaiko inside! ✨ There’s also a creative option called pork bone ramen wrap that we didn’t order this time, but I want to try it next time! The assorted appetizers featured four types of cold dishes and the serving dish was adorable! The smoked potato salad looked like a cake and was so cute♡ It was not just eye-catching, but also delicious with big chunks of potatoes. ✨ We chose the miso flavor for the offal hot pot! It was filled with large pieces of offal that had no odor and was tasty! The sweet fat melted in my mouth ✨ The miso soup was quite sweet, so those who don’t like sweetness might prefer the soy sauce flavor. The dessert, fondant chocolate, was delightful as the chocolate inside melted beautifully! By around 8 PM, the place was almost full, so making a reservation would be wise. The staff were all kind and we had a great time! I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal!

The pork ginger grilled set meal (1100 yen) felt healthy and was great, and both the Sasanishiki rice and the side dishes were delicious. It’s a meal that doesn’t make you gain weight and has a good nutritional balance, which is perfect for me since I'm concerned about getting fat. I would like to continue relying on this place. I also heard that the chicken and fish dishes were tasty, so I plan to try all of them. On another day, I had the mackerel simmered in miso set meal (1100 yen). It was healthy.

The restaurant "Yasai-maki Kushi Dogenne" is located in the basement of an office building that you can access from the Konan exit of Shinagawa Station. Although it's close to the station, the map to get to the basement is a bit complicated, so I recommend allowing extra time to find it. There are various dining options lining this basement, and here you can enjoy Kyushu cuisine. The drink glasses are cute and designed with original artwork! They also have a wide variety of Instagram-worthy drinks that are perfect for girls. The recommended menu item is the meat-wrapped skewers, but there are also unique options like ramen-wrapped meat, making it fun to choose from the selection. Personally, I recommend the mentai cheese wrap—it has a generous portion of mentaiko, giving you a satisfying bite! It’s perfect as a snack. The horse sashimi is delicious, and the portions are large for a great price! The tuna rare cutlet with tartar sauce was also tasty. Many dishes have strong flavors that go well with drinks, making it a great spot for those who enjoy a drink. They also have motsunabe (beef offal hot pot), which is highly recommended as the weather gets colder!

I visited "Yasai Maki Kushi Dogenne," located in the Shinagawa Granpasage, during my lunch tour around the Shinagawa Station area. From the Shinagawa Dogenne complete nutritional set menu, I chose the "Pork Soup Deluxe Set," which mentioned having the highest protein content. The pork soup was hearty with plenty of root vegetables, providing a good amount of dietary fiber. It was a filling dish with great texture.

I had the mackerel simmered in miso set meal (1,100 yen). The small side dishes were plentiful, allowing me to enjoy a variety of ingredients in small amounts. It gave me the impression that I was doing something good for my body. Each dish had a strong flavor that made it easy to eat more rice. Refills for rice are also available.

Lunchtime Order: Pork Ginger Stir-Fry Set Meal @1000 (excluding tax) ◾️ Restaurant Choice I often come to this area, but I had never visited Dogennen before. Since there wasn't a line today, I decided to go in. ◾️ Ordering After being shown to my seat, I learned that orders are placed via smartphone. I see, that makes it easier to handle lunch with fewer staff. I scanned the QR code and sent my order. Today, I chose the pork ginger stir-fry set meal. Looking around, I noticed that about 80% of the customers were women. ◾️ Dining Experience The meal was served on a square tray. Wow, there are a lot of small dishes. * Pork ginger stir-fry (smaller than usual) * Braised liver? * Simmered vegetables * Chawanmushi (savory steamed egg custard) * Clear soup * Pickles This is a great deal for 1000 yen! I can enjoy a variety of dishes. It’s no wonder it’s popular with the ladies. Let’s dig in. The pork ginger stir-fry is quite good; I wish it were a bit hotter. The simmered vegetables with lotus root are nice. The braised liver is tasty as well. The chawanmushi must be a favorite too; I've never had one with such a smooth texture before. ◾️ Post-Meal Reflections Thank you for the meal!

I was impressed not only by the quality of the food but also by the atmosphere and service, and I definitely want to visit this wonderful restaurant again.

This restaurant is located on the B1 food floor of NBF Shinagawa Tower, directly connected to Shinagawa Station, just a short 10-minute walk from the ticket gate. It boasts a clean and spacious interior with ample spacing between groups, allowing for a comfortable dining experience. There are counter seats available, making it suitable for solo diners or couples. On this particular visit, I enjoyed their signature vegetable-wrapped skewers, along with some fried items and a rice dish to finish, accompanied by Japanese sake. The vegetable skewers were hearty, delicious, and satisfying even in small quantities. Skewers can be ordered one by one, priced around 300 yen, which is quite reasonable. The lettuce skewer had a sauce that I personally liked a lot, making me crave white rice. The stuffed green pepper with cheese was also generous in size and loaded with cheese, making it fantastic. The deep-fried items, such as crab cream spring rolls and thick Unzen ham cutlets, were served hot and crispy, adding to the overall enjoyment. Other dishes on the menu range from 500 to 800 yen, which is very budget-friendly, allowing you to try various interesting items. The drink selection is extensive, including beer, sour cocktails, sake, and wine. I particularly noticed a wide variety of sour cocktails, some with unique names that are not commonly seen. The pairing of skewers with the refreshing sour drinks was excellent. They even have Oroposawa, which was amusing! There are eight types of sake available, spanning from dry to sweet, with flavorful brands that pair well with the skewers. With excellent access, a spacious interior, and great cost performance, I believe this is a restaurant that would delight any host. Thank you for the meal!

Vegetable Roll Kushi Dogenne Shinagawa is located about a 5-minute walk from Shinagawa Station. The restaurant has a clean and relaxed atmosphere. During lunchtime, it was bustling with office workers. I ordered the "Saba no Misoni Teishoku" (mackerel stewed in miso sauce). The first thing that caught my eye was the beautiful presentation, featuring various small bowls of food. Clockwise from the top left, there were tuna namero, mackerel simmered in miso, chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), oshinko (Japanese pickles), liver simmered in sweet and spicy sauce, and in the center, chikuzen-ni (a simmered vegetable dish). The soup was made from "bone broth," which is a broth created by slowly simmering chicken stock. The mackerel simmered in miso had a wonderful flavor, with the fish’s richness mixing perfectly with the sweetness of the miso. Each bite released an incredible burst of flavor, making it a truly blissful experience. The tuna namero was also very delicious.

The restaurant is located about a 5-minute walk from the Konan Exit of Shinagawa Station, on the basement level of the NBF Shinagawa Tower. It's great that you can go from the station without getting wet on rainy days. The place just opened last year, so it’s very clean and bright. Since it was just two of us women, we decided to order a la carte. We started with a toast of draft beer and grated lemon sour! We managed to catch the happy hour before 6:00 PM, so our first drinks were only 110 yen (excluding tax)! As beer lovers, we couldn't resist ordering two before the vegetable rolls arrived. While waiting, we had some simple appetizers: - **Smoked Potato Salad**: The potato salad was surprisingly pink! This color comes from beets. It’s visually appealing and has a robust smoked flavor. It looks cute and tastes great! - **Goma Kanpachi**: A Fukuoka specialty, this features fresh kanpachi (amberjack) mixed with a sweet sesame soy sauce, perfect for enjoying with drinks. - **Dogenne Vegetable Salad**: This was a favorite for one of us. It included sweet potatoes, zucchini, tomatoes, onions, fried vegetables, and plenty of leafy greens. The veggies were so sweet and delicious, we finished it all! Next, the main dish of vegetable rolls arrived: - **Five Types of Vegetable Rolls**: We had green onion, tomato, yam and shiso, shiitake, and eringi mushroom rolls. They were packed with vegetables and had ample portions. They looked even better than in the photos and were hot and very satisfying! The yam and shiso roll was especially delicious. We also tried a seasonal sour drink: - **Seasonal Sour**: I highly recommend the Shine Muscat Sour, which had lots of Shine Muscat grapes in it! It had a refreshing acidity and just the right amount of sweetness, making it very addictive. It’s a limited-time and limited-quantity offering, so get it while you can! Next up were skewers: - **Five Types of Skewers**: Since we enjoyed the vegetable rolls, we got some skewers too! This included chicken skin, chicken breast, gizzard, bonjiri (tail), and pork belly. The sauce was to my liking and delicious! The drinks here are cute and tasty: - **KuruKuru Super Berry Good & Emerald Apple**: This comes with a cute marshmallow stick that can also be used as a muddler. It’s lightly alcoholic, fun to eat, and delicious. The marshmallow stick is edible too. To finish off, we had the restaurant's signature dish: - **Sea Bream Chazuke**: We enjoyed the sea bream lightly with broth. For dessert, I went with something sweet: - **Sweet Potato Honey Butter**: This dessert uses the natural sweetness of sweet potatoes, making it just sweet enough for after drinks, and it was delicious. Thank you for the meal! Everyone at the restaurant was friendly, and every dish was tasty, leaving both of us very satisfied. I would definitely recommend this place for a girls' night out or a date.

I visited "Yasai-Maki Kushi Dogenne," which is just a short walk from the Konan Exit of Shinagawa Station. The restaurant is known for its vegetable-wrapped skewers, but there are many other dishes available, making it a welcoming place for anyone. The interior is bright and very clean. The counter seats have a touch of elegance, creating a lovely atmosphere. The drinks are very stylish, with plenty of interesting names to choose from! I ordered the "Kurukuru Chou Berry Good Sour" and the "Adult Strawberry Milk." Both came with marshmallows and Pocky, making them adorable and likely appealing to women. We started with a platter of appetizers, which included potato salad, pickled intestines, tuna namero, and smoked cream cheese. Everything was delicious and exceeded my expectations. They would recommend these as individual items too. For the skewers, we ordered green onions, asparagus, shiitake mushrooms, and king oyster mushrooms, as well as pork belly and skin for the meat skewers. It was great to have a variety of vegetables, mushrooms, and meats to choose from. There were many other dishes too, making it hard to decide. The sweet potato with honey butter is another dish that seems popular with women. The sweetness was just right and it’s recommended for men too. The tuna rare cutlet was tender and tasty! The horse sashimi was also delicious; I appreciated being able to enjoy both the lean and fatty cuts together. We wrapped up our meal with a rice bowl topped with minced chicken and raw egg. After so much good food, I was completely full. Since this is a Hakata-style restaurant, I definitely want to try the motsunabe (beef tripe hotpot) and Hakata ramen next time!

I visited the Kyushu cuisine izakaya "Yasaimaki Kushi Dogenne" located in B1 of NBF Shinagawa ❤︎ while I was in the Shinagawa area for work, accompanied by a friend. As soon as we entered, the staff kindly explained the recommended menu items and showed us a display of their vegetable skewers. Despite the recent rise in vegetable prices, the prices here are wallet-friendly, so we ended up ordering quite a bit! Haha. Among all the dishes, the one that stood out the most was the sukiyaki skewer! (I love vegetables, but nothing beats meat~ lol) It’s served with a raw egg for dipping, creating a delicious experience that truly feels like you're enjoying real sukiyaki! The sweet sauce was so tasty that I could easily eat several of them. The staff's service was excellent, and the warm, friendly atmosphere made it easy to strike up conversations. ◼︎ What I ordered: - Avocado with salted kelp - Assorted appetizers - Honey butter sweet potato - Thick Kumamoto ham cutlet - Mentaiko cheese roll - Chicken breast with ume and shiso - Sukiyaki skewer - Quail egg skewer ◼︎ My rating at the time of visit: 3.19 Thank you all for your 【Follow】【Likes】【Saving the shop】! I visited Dokenne, which is a 10-minute walk from Shinagawa Station! It was actually my first time trying vegetable skewers! They offer classic vegetable skewers, as well as a variety of options like tonkotsu ramen and sukiyaki, making their skewered dishes very appealing! Personally, my favorite was the sukiyaki skewer, which perfectly captured the flavor of sukiyaki. It’s served with a slightly sweet sauce and you dip it in egg yolk, and it’s just delicious! The mentaiko cheese skewer was also fantastic; it features mentaiko wrapped in cheese and lettuce. The spiciness and saltiness of the mentaiko combined with the richness of the cheese created a wonderful flavor explosion! It's a great place to enjoy delicious skewers at a reasonable price, and the drinks have a unique twist, making it a spot you can enjoy multiple times!

Hello! This time, I visited "Yasai-Maki Kushi Dokenne," which is a 4-minute walk from Shinagawa Station! The restaurant is located in the basement of a building on a quiet side street next to the station. The atmosphere of the place is great, and it's very clean! There are counter and table seats, and the interior is spacious, which adds to its appeal. Here’s what I ordered: - Sukiyaki Kushi: 352 yen - Smoked Potato Salad: 528 yen - Rare Tuna Cutlet: 748 yen - Yam Shiso Roll: 242 yen - Spinach Cheese Bacon: 297 yen - Cheese Soboro: 528 yen - Ramen Roll: 594 yen - Asparagus Roll: 297 yen - Kim Cheese Kushi: 352 yen - Fondant Chocolate with Vanilla Ice Cream: 748 yen - Homemade Pudding: 638 yen - Special Tai Chazuke (Rice with Broth): 1,100 yen - Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen: 960 yen - Tuna Nameko (minced tuna): 748 yen - Adult Strawberry Milk: 693 yen - Dream Blue Pastel: 693 yen I went specifically wanting to try the vegetable-wrapped skewers, so I didn’t look at other menu items, but to my surprise, they had a variety of popular Hakata dishes! There were also plenty of unique skewers, which was interesting. As a ramen lover, I couldn't pass up the Ramen Roll and Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen! We ordered skewers to share among us and tried a variety. The smoked potato salad was visually pleasing and delicious! Potato salad is always a wonderful snack, isn’t it? The rare tuna cutlet paired perfectly with the tartar sauce! The cheese soboro was reasonably priced and satisfying while tasting great! For the finale, we shared the Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen and Tai Chazuke! When you think of Hakata Tonkotsu, you imagine extremely thin noodles. They were refreshing, making it feel just right! The Tai Chazuke was of such quality that it could rival a regular diner’s dish—definitely a must-order for anyone wanting chazuke at an izakaya! We even had dessert, and the homemade pudding was fantastic! It had that nostalgic texture and flavor that felt like a long-awaited treat! Plus, the presentation and plates were super cute! This place offers vegetable-wrapped skewers, Hakata dishes, and Instagram-worthy drinks, and although I left feeling very full, I still regret not trying the motsunabe (beef tripe hot pot) and horse sashimi...
