Located just a 1-minute walk from Sumikawa Station, Tori-centric izakaya Piyotto is a must-visit. The standout dishes were the Piyotto grilled red and white innards skewers, as well as the seafood slimy salad featuring salmon, cured mackerel, tuna, octopus, natto, yamaimo, okra, mizuna, and lettuce. The complimentary cabbage appetizer with a sesame oil-like salt dressing was a nice touch. The grilled dishes were also delicious. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food served. Each dish was meticulously prepared and presented. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Visited on a late weekday night with only a few other customers. The wait for the food was a bit long, but it was worth it. The side dishes we ordered ended up coming after the grilled items, but the kitchen staff did their best. Thanks for the great meal!

This is an izakaya located right next to Sumikawa Station. It's been over 10 years since I last dined in Sumikawa. When you enter, there are quite a few seats available. Since we were a group, we opted for the banquet plan in a sunken kotatsu seating area. For 3000 yen including tax, we got a set of several dishes including motsunabe and 120 minutes of all-you-can-drink. It's a common offering, but it felt like a good deal. We leisurely enjoyed drinks like draft beer, highballs, and wine. The food was surprisingly good. The motsunabe was light and delicious. It was a bit interesting to have fried tofu served between dessert and the ramen for the finale. It seems like there are several branches in the city. Someone who is particular about customer service was praising it. Smoking is allowed. It's inexpensive. Overall, I'm satisfied with this price. I hope to visit again.

Near Sumikawa Station, there is a chain izakaya that stays open late into the night. They offer 90-minute and 120-minute all-you-can-drink options, and I chose the 120-minute option. They have a wide variety of drinks, but I found myself enjoying the "Shiikwaasaa Sour" the most. It didn't taste very alcoholic, but it was delicious. We ordered a few dishes, and all of them were tasty. We had to wait for about 15 minutes to get a table, but the manager was very attentive and even served tea to two women who were waiting before us. When we left, the manager saw us off all the way to the outside of the restaurant. I noticed that there were many families with young children dining there as well.

Hashimoto? It is a shop located in the back of a building just off the bridge. The small interior has tables and a raised seating area. The raised seating area is spacious but may feel a bit unsettling for those not used to it. The table seating is separated by thin screens, giving a slight view of the neighboring tables. The corn butter has a strong flavor but is a bit sweet. The deep-fried tofu comes with grated daikon radish, enoki mushrooms, and a hint of ginger. The broth is delicious and satisfying. The egg roll is large and filling, with four slices. The broth and salt for the chicken skewers are tasty. The pineapple juice is sweet and enjoyable. The grated white peach sour has a strong carbonation. The taste is okay. The matcha parfait with white bean paste has a strong matcha flavor, with everything else playing a supporting role. The white bean paste is overshadowed by the matcha. The white balls are light and balanced. The custard pudding Catalana has a rich and solid flavor, with a nice crispy caramel. The staff is friendly and responsive. Overall, it is a cheap and satisfying place with generous portions of food and dessert. The location is small but relatively comfortable. Sumikawa surprisingly doesn't have many options for eating out (there's a chance I just don't know about them), so I decided to visit Piyotto Sumikawa. Piyotto is a chain restaurant seen in various places in Sapporo, but this was my first time here. As the name suggests, they specialize in chicken dishes. I ordered chicken karaage, edamame, Caesar salad, and a few yakitori items. The taste was... salty!! Everything was overly salty. However, the edamame had no salt at all. The perception of salty or sweet flavors varies from person to person, and I don't want to sound too critical. But, there is a limit. We all stopped after just one bite of the karaage. In the end, when the staff asked, "Did it not suit your taste?" I gave a vague answer. However, I appreciate this kind of customer service. Since there are many chain restaurants in the city, maybe this was just an off day for the taste...

I didn't have high expectations because it's a chain restaurant, but surprisingly it was delicious! I went with my children and parents for a year-end party and we all enjoyed it. My mother has always loved fried half chicken, and she even used to go all the way to Otaru to buy it. There was a paper with a special offer for half fried chicken, so we ordered it and it turned out to be big, tender, and cheap! We have tried many fried chicken dishes before, but this was the first time we had such tender chicken. It has become a favorite for my family!

Since I had a day off from work, I decided to order delivery for lunch. I got potato salad with spicy cod roe, which was sweet, and had a nice texture. I also ordered six large pieces of fried chicken, chicken liver skewers, yam skewers, and two types of raw chicken meatballs. Even with all of that, the total cost including delivery was less than 3000 yen!

It's been a while since I had the large zangi from Piyotto. I love the spicy ma-la flavor, green onion salt flavor, and normal flavor. The ma-la flavor is my favorite, and it goes well with beer. I didn't see the raw tsukune at the Shiraishi store. I chose the mentaiko mayo sauce. Everything was delicious, and it arrived freshly made. The staff who brought it over was very friendly even though we had just met. They mentioned that they also want people near the closed Shiraishi store to use their service, so they delivered from Sumikawa. The delivery area for the state of emergency has expanded to include areas like the Sapporo Subway Higashi-Sapporo, Shiraishi, Minami-Sakae 7-chome, Misono, and Tsukisamu Chuo. This service is scheduled to continue until the end of the month. I would like to use their service again.
