I always used to pass by the ramen shop "Men-dokoro Tenkawa" after having lunch, but today I visited for the first time as my second choice, since my first choice was unexpectedly closed. - Arrival time: 12:10 PM - Crowdedness: 1 person waiting outside - Wait time: 10 minutes Despite being a small shop with only two staff members, they were attentive to the customers waiting outside. The service was very polite and considerate, making it a pleasant experience. I ordered the Shoyu ramen with pork and egg, and it was served in just 5 minutes. The first sip of the soup surprised me with the delicious green onions they used - a first-time experience for me. The soup was clean and light, yet the quality of the ingredients and the excellent cooking were evident. The flat noodles had a perfect softness and a great texture, complementing the flavorful soup. The char siu was cooked thoroughly but still tender, with a chewy yet soft texture. Despite being lightly seasoned, the ingredients were well showcased. The seasoned egg was simply delicious. Overall, it was a delicious bowl of ramen where each component was highlighted and perfectly combined. The staff members, who were genuinely grateful, not only thanked the customers leaving but also showed their appreciation with warm smiles. It was a wonderful dining experience. Thank you.

Metelog recommends Ramen Dokoro Tenkawa in the LaWota category, where I tried their disliked cold ramen with soy sauce flavor and cloud topping. I decided to challenge the cold ramen because Tenkawa's ramen is delicious and highly rated by those who have visited. The promotion was only until around the 16th, so I wanted to try it. It was delicious, but still, cold ramen is not my favorite. I love cold noodles, somen, and zaru soba, but at Tenkawa, I prefer the soy sauce ramen with Agu pork back fat and cloud topping. They also offer various Agu pork products for takeout, such as gyoza, hamburgers, and sausages. I usually buy them as gifts for the staff and Miwa, so I haven't tried them myself. This time, I want to try them for myself.

Yes, it's ramen time! "Tsukemen Tenkawa" Cold Shio Ramen (900 yen) with Ajitama (100 yen). As summer comes to an end, the season for cold ramen is also coming to a close. I visited "Tsukemen Tenkawa" in Kujo to try their Cold Shio Ramen, as I had already tried their Cold Shoyu Ramen before. I also ordered the Ajitama. The soup was unexpectedly brown in color, with a crispy umeboshi topping adding a nice touch. The fish broth-based cold soup was rich in flavor and refreshing. The noodles were flat and straight, cooked perfectly. The toppings of shiso leaves and crispy umeboshi complemented the dish well. Overall, a delicious meal worth trying before the end of the cold ramen season on September 16th.

I ordered the A5 Rank Wagyu Beef Fat-infused Soy Sauce Ramen (930 yen) this time. I have eaten their ramen several times, but honestly, I don't understand why it receives such high scores. It's not bad by any means, but due to the lack of chemical seasonings, the flavors don't come together well, and the saltiness and acidity of the soy sauce are quite strong. The noodles are delicious, but the slices of rare chashu, while having a good texture, are quite bland and don't stand out as much. It's unclear how much the A5 Rank Wagyu Beef Fat contributes to the flavor, and while the seasoned egg is perfectly cooked, it also gives a bland impression. Overall, it has a healthy feel, but I wonder if those who are health-conscious would go out for ramen in the first place? There are many people who give it high ratings, so I think it just doesn't suit my taste, but I recommend not setting your expectations too high before going.

Today, I visited "Men-dokoro Tenkawa" located in front of Kujyo Station on the Osaka Metro for the second time. I came here to try their cold ramen, following my visit last year. I am looking forward to seeing the improvements they have made. I purchased the "cold ramen" from the ticket machine, choosing soy sauce this time as I had tried the salt version last year. The dish arrived. First, I tried the soup. It was thick but light and delicious, with a seafood-based broth and soy sauce seasoning. The noodles were medium-thick and flat. The toppings included chashu pork, bamboo shoots, chopped green onions, onions, and seaweed. The chashu pork had a good chewy texture and was tasty. I squeezed lemon over the ramen towards the end for a different flavor. I finished every last drop of the soup. Thank you for the meal.

The umami flavor seemed to spread quickly from the outside to the inside, and the shoyu selection was just right. The Agu pork back fat shoyu ramen was delicious! The shoyu flavor was deep and rich, and the mouthfeel was amazing. The combination of chicken and pork broth with back fat made the ramen refreshing and deeply satisfying. The seasonal mixed rice was unexpectedly delicious. The base flavor of the mixed rice was not compromised, and the addition of fresh ginger was perfect. The ginger was cut into chunks, adding a crunchy texture and great aroma. On my way out, I found out that Yamapi and Hiromi had also visited Menya Tenkawa. It was a pleasant surprise! Thank you to Mr. Okabe and his wife for the wonderful meal.

Unlike typical soy sauce-based popular shops, the soup here is not overly salty and has a subtle flavor. The noodles have a nice chewy texture, which I like, but I think they would be even better with thinner noodles to soak up the broth.

I came back to this restaurant after seeing that their Tabelog rating had gone up. I was curious to see if anything had changed. The result? Nothing has changed. The noodles, boiled eggs, bamboo shoots, and back fat were all delicious, but the overall taste was lacking. It's not that it's bad, but it's not particularly good either. The presentation looks amazing, with everything carefully prepared, but it's like something is missing. It's a shame because everything seems perfect, but there's just something not quite right. It reminded me of a story from the manga "Oishinbo" about Japanese soba noodles. They used the best soba flour and the best broth, but the broth ended up overpowering the aroma of the soba. Overall, it was a bit disappointing.

Yes, it's ramen time at "Men Dokoro Tenkawa"! I ordered the "Cold Shoyu Ramen (900 yen)" with an extra "Flavored Egg (100 yen)". The landlady had been taking a break due to health issues, but now that she's back in business, I had to go and show my support! The highlight was definitely the cold ramen! This was the first time this year that Tenkawa served "Cold Ramen", and after some deliberation, I chose the shoyu flavor. Of course, the flavored egg is a must-have! As I sat at the counter, there was a bottle with a note saying "Please take one" filled with salt candies. This small gesture is just one of the many wonderful things about Tenkawa. The dish arrived, looking colorful and with plenty of toppings! Thank you as always for the flavored egg. Now, onto the review: Visual - The toppings were plentiful and the colors were beautiful! Soup - The soup was amazing! The thick soup slowly seeped into my body, cooling me down and energizing me. It was so delicious that I found myself drinking more soup than usual. The change in flavor as the seaweed dissolved into the soup was impressive. Noodles - The noodles were made with spring wheat and were straight and flat. They had a great texture and paired well with the soup. Toppings - The tender and moist char siu was incredibly tasty! The fried onions added a crispy texture and a hint of bitterness that was amazing. Everything was so good that I finished every last bit. Thank you for the meal. I'll have to go back soon to try the "Cold Shio Ramen" as well!

I finally got to enjoy some chilled oshio this season, unlike last year when it was only available for a limited time. This time, you can have it with shoyu or however you like it. The oaji oshio has been slightly changed from last time, but it's still delicious. I ordered the chilled oshio from the ticket machine, and it was a perfect balance of flavors with toppings like nori, negi, wakame, and myoga. The noodles were thick and chewy, and the chashu was incredibly flavorful. I also tried the special mini donburi, which had a colorful and appetizing presentation. The broth was light and sweet, and the toppings of spinach, pickled ginger, and quail egg complemented the tender chicken well. Overall, the service was attentive and pleasant. I visited Men-dokoro Tenkawa on my way back from a customer visit. It was my first time visiting, and because it was extremely hot, I decided to try the cold salt ramen instead of the usual menu. The refreshing yet thick salt soup paired well with the chewy flat noodles, and it was quite good. It seems that people from Kansai prefer flat noodles or thick noodles. I'm not sure. The addition of myoga provided a nice accent and enhanced the refreshing taste.
