Today I was in the mood for curry (*´ω`*) So I decided to stop by this place since I happened to be nearby due to work (*´ω`*) I visited around 2 PM and there were no other customers (*´ω`*) I ordered the Beef Tendon Curry for 850 yen and added a Half-Cooked Flavored Egg for 100 yen (*´ω`*) The complex blend of spices in the curry sauce and the slightly firm rice complemented each other perfectly and tasted amazing (*´ω`*) Especially the curry sauce with its mix of spices and garlic aroma was top-notch (*´ω`*) The flavored egg topping was also quite good (*´ω`*) They have many other toppings available so I'll definitely try more next time (*´ω`*) This curry is delicious and can be enjoyed by both spice curry lovers and those who are not (*´ω`*) Thank you for the meal (*´ω`*)

Visited Yadokari Special at 12:00 on a weekday. There were no customers at first, but soon more people arrived! The Yadokari Special is a curry dish with a variety of side dishes. The curry itself has a subtly spicy taste with a nice blend of spices. The side dishes are diverse, including mountain vegetables, mandarins, macaroni salad, and fried eggplant, giving it a home-cooked feel. Overall, the meal was mild and familiar in taste. Many people were ordering the beef tendon curry, so I would like to try that next time!

I went to Temmabashi for work after a long time. While thinking about what to have for lunch, I found a curry restaurant in this area. And they have spicy curry! I decided to go in because hot and spicy food is said to be good for preventing summer fatigue. The kitchen and the interior of the restaurant are small, but the place is filled with a nice spicy aroma. I love horumon (offal), so I ordered the Spicy Horumon Curry. I was the first customer since they opened, but more and more people started coming in, with many ordering the "Special Extra Large" portion. I vow to try that next time!

"Yadokari Temma Hashi Honten" Authentic Curry in Temma Hashi
Today's lunch was around Temma Hashi station. I went to this place called "Yadokari Temma Hashi Honten" located in a building basement along the Tenmabashi Street. It's a small shop but surprisingly popular, as I later found out on Tabelog. It's even in the top 5000! I didn't know there was such a place around Temma Hashi station. I love the shady and cool atmosphere.
Here is the menu. Of course, I went for the best one. I ordered the Yadokari Special (¥1,200). Oh, they have a large serving too. I asked for it without hesitation. The additional charge for the large serving was very reasonable, just ¥100. So, the lunch came to ¥1,300.
And here it is, the Yadokari Special in a large serving! It's so luxurious with a variety of toppings! A generous large serving that even an old man like me is fully satisfied. I'll mix it all up and enjoy it.
First of all, the curry is delicious. It's a chicken curry with pieces of meat in it. And each topping has a different taste, so it's never boring. A wonderful dish that leaves you very satisfied! Even an old man like me is fully satisfied at this stylish curry shop. It's a rare find. Very rare. I'll definitely come back. For another large serving. Thank you for the meal.
Today's lunch cost ¥1,300.

Yadokari started as a pop-up in Honmachi in 2013, then opened a physical store in Temmabashi. Now they have a total of 5 stores including franchises in Nishi-Temma, Abeno, Namba, and Tanimachi Cola Store. I remember waiting before the opening and there was a woman who arrived 5 minutes before opening. I ordered the Keema Curry but received Chicken Curry instead. The chicken was cooked until tender and delicious. The curry was quite spicy even in its default level. The curry flavor tartar and extra coriander topping were a nice addition. Overall, the Chicken Curry was a great choice. The restaurant is reasonably priced compared to others in the area.

On a normal day, I happened to stop by Yadokari for lunch. I ordered their popular beef tendon curry, and it was served on a plate as big as a volleyball. The beef tendon was cooked until it was tender, and the spicy spices made it impossible to finish without ordering a lassi. The frozen lassi was delicious.

I went for lunch. It was my first visit. I saw good reviews on Tabelog, so I thought it might be crowded, but luckily it was not. The recommended dish was beef tendon curry, so I ordered that. They asked if I wanted it medium spicy, but I like spicy food so I ordered it spicy. They warned me that their curry is quite spicy, but I said it's okay. It was served in a few minutes. The spiciness was just right, and the curry was very delicious. I will definitely go again.

Had lunch at Yadokari in Temmabashi. I was aware of their store in Namba, but it turns out this is their main location. I ordered the Yadokari Special recommended by the staff. The curry arrived with so many side dishes piled up that the rice was hidden. The curry, based on chicken, had a pleasant spiciness and spice level. The variety of side dishes changes daily, but there are so many types that you can enjoy trying them all. The rice is Japanese rice, but it seems to be cooked with spices as well, giving it a unique flavor. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited "Yadokari Temmabashi Honten" in Chuo-ku, Osaka. It is located about a 5-minute walk south from Temmabashi Station on the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line and Keihan Main Line, on the basement floor of a building. The restaurant has a counter and tables with a total of 10 seats, giving off a typical Osaka spice curry shop vibe. I ordered the "Beef Tendon Yadokari (medium spicy)" for 850 yen. Unlike other curry places that focus on various side dishes for flavor variation, Yadokari competes with their curry roux. The spice level of the roux is incredibly delicious. The rice also contains cardamom and cinnamon, enhancing the spice experience. The staff were very friendly, and I regret not visiting this great restaurant near my home sooner. Yadokari currently has 5 branches in Osaka, so if you are nearby, be sure to stop by one of their locations.

Visited the popular spice curry restaurant "Yadokari" for the first time. Ordered the beef tendon curry with extra spiciness. The homemade spicy sauce has a complex flavor profile with the addition of fruits like tomatoes, balancing heat with acidity and sweetness. The beef tendon pieces are large and chewy, providing a satisfying texture. The spiciness gradually builds up, leading to a detoxifying sweat. The egg topping offers various flavors like pickles and curry, making me want to try more toppings next time.

It's a small shop in the basement of a building with impressive character illustrations on banners and signs, making it easy to spot. It was lunchtime on a weekday and there was no wait. I ordered the Keema Curry, which is known for its spiciness, so I chose the standard level of spiciness. It wasn't as spicy as I thought, but it had a pleasant spiciness that came later. Even if you're not a fan of spicy food, you'll probably be okay. The Keema Curry was carefully made and delicious. I'm not sure about the other menu items, but it seemed to be more of a lentil curry, so preferences may vary.

I tried the medium-spicy beef tendon curry. It may be a bit too spicy for those who don't like spicy food. They also have a mild option which I recommend. The dish itself was delicious, but the owner seemed a bit tense. The atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxed, so if you're sensitive to the owner's demeanor, I suggest sitting near the entrance. Overall, it was a great curry place in Osaka.

This is a curry restaurant located near the slope on the Yotsuya side, from Temmabashi Station. I visited during a late lunch time on a weekday, around 2 pm. It is a popular restaurant that has been selected as one of the top 100 curry restaurants in the western region on Tabelog. Although it exudes an atmosphere of a curry specialty shop in Osaka, the menu seems to be categorized more as "curry rice" rather than the typical "spice curry" in Osaka. I ordered the "Daily Yadokari Special" (tax included 1,100 yen), which had the most Osaka-like visual appearance. The special includes over 8 types of daily vegetable side dishes, which gives it a variety similar to Osaka's spice curry. However, each side dish such as simmered hijiki, kinpira gobou, and carrot salad gives off a home-cooked feel. The amount of side dishes is substantial, which naturally leads to a large portion of rice, making it quite filling. It is described as medium spicy, but it is quite spicy and builds up gradually even when mixed with the side dishes. I added a mini lassi (+200 yen) to help with the spiciness, but it was really mini, so I should have ordered the regular size. It had been a while since I had such a hearty curry, and I was conscious of whether I could finish it, so my memory of the taste has faded slightly. The other curries besides the special are priced in the 800 yen range, making it a reliable choice for nearby business people.

I used to eat the special crab curry, but I prefer the beef tendon crab curry. Maybe it's because of the beef tendon, or because it's spicy, or because it's not a special dish. Either way, I'm looking forward to choosing my next menu. It would be even better if the chairs were more comfortable.

I visited for a slightly late lunch. I was prepared to wait in line, but luckily there was no line and I was able to enter easily. I didn't have high expectations, but the food was delicious. I will visit again on a rainy day to avoid waiting in line!

I suddenly felt like eating curry and went here yesterday. I tried the last menu I hadn't had before, the clam and edamame curry with egg tartar topping. Clams go surprisingly well with curry. In European curries, seafood often gives off a strong smell, but with spiced curry, it doesn't happen. It was delicious. Next time, I want to try the hayashi rice that I haven't had yet. I haven't checked if it's still available though.

This week I ended up not making a bento again... So I decided to go to Yadokari for some outside food. It's my first time this year. I found the Hormone Curry on the menu, which is also available at the main store at the end of the year. I topped it with edamame and egg tartar. The hormone was cooked quite well, still retaining some elasticity, but since my teeth have been bothering me recently, I struggled a bit while eating it haha. Getting old is tough... But it was delicious. It was moderately spicy, making me sweat a bit. I've now tried all the curry options with clams and edamame. Looking forward to my next visit. (Although I might end up trying something different next time haha)

My second visit to Yadokari this month. I tried adding edamame to the classic chicken curry for the first time, and it might be my favorite. The only ones left for me to try now are clam curry and edamame curry. But then I saw that they've added regular hormone curry as well, haha.

Today I couldn't make a bento and ended up having lunch at Yadokari. I haven't tried the classic chicken curry yet, so I went for the mackerel curry with egg pickle topping. Since the soba I had yesterday also had minced mackerel, I unintentionally had two days of mackerel dishes in a row. The mackerel flavor is noticeable but it goes well with curry. It was delicious. Next time, I'll try the chicken curry and aim to conquer all the menu items.

I visited on a typical Tuesday opening time. There were no other customers. I ordered the Yadokari Special and a lassi. The lassi had spices on top. The curry came with mountain vegetables, kinpira, pickles, and vinegar dishes on top. The spices were also strong.
