On the way back from Tokyo, I suddenly craved "miso" on the airplane. On the way from the airport to the city, I took a little detour to the grand gate of Kamiido. I want you to see the photo, it's amazing for 650 yen, it has a rich taste (easy to eat without any strong flavor), it seems to be the finishing touch of "miso" from Asahikawa, satisfying. Thank you for the meal, 650 yen, cheap, happy.

I visited Mr. Daimon's place after a long time. The interior is a bit dim, but that doesn't bother me. An elderly couple runs the place together harmoniously. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen and Mini Curry, while my wife had the Katsu Curry. The Shoyu Ramen has a light soup that is delicious, with the green onions adding a nice touch. The Mini Curry is just the right size. The Black Curry at Daimon's is tasty. The Katsu Curry comes with freshly fried pork cutlet on top of the Black Curry. It makes you feel like you want to eat heartily. The pork cutlet is tender and goes well with the Black Curry. The spiciness is just right, not too hot, with a good amount of spices. I wonder how long I can keep enjoying the Black Curry at Daimon's. I hope they stay healthy and keep up the good work.

The noodles are standard and exemplary, very good. The soup is not too strong in flavor, making it easy for everyone to enjoy. The vegetables consist of 88% bean sprouts, 8% cabbage, 2% onions, and 2% carrots, with the cabbage being a nice addition. Corn is an unusual topping, and while I usually don't like it on ramen, the texture is good and not bad. The Wakame seaweed has a good flavor and the thin slices are easy to eat, which I like. Overall, it was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Ramen and curry restaurant. This place is known for that, but... I was curious about something different this time. And it turned out to be a big hit!! Yellow building Located at the foot of the Heisei Ohashi, which was renovated last year, from Kamiio to Kagura, there is a yellow restaurant. You can tell it's a curry place from the color of the building. However, this place is not curry, but curry is written, which shows their attention to detail. Actually, many of the people inside were eating curry or ramen. When you look at the ramen menu, the first thing you see is soy sauce ramen, so this is a ramen shop. There is also a set with black curry. By the way, during lunch service, the ramen and rice set is only 630 yen, which is super reasonable. Here comes an interesting old man. Can you make the lunch ramen into vegetable ramen? The lady at the restaurant, I'm sorry, that's a service menu, so I can't do that... Well, that's only natural. Then, give me vegetable ramen... said the old man. Do you not want rice? Without hesitation, I don't need it... said the old man. "?????" Everyone in the restaurant was puzzled. Did the old man want to order rice with vegetable ramen? That's why the lady asked about the rice. Did he not want rice from the beginning?? What did the old man want? In the end, he ordered soy sauce vegetable ramen only. Back side On the back side, there is another main menu, curry, and other rice bowl items written. The original black curry. Actually, I ate it quite a long time ago. It was delicious, but it seems like a slightly disappointing memory. And the katsu curry for 780 yen is too cheap. Katsudon for 700 yen, so this time I ordered katsudon!! Actually, after reading articles on Tabelog and other sites, I wanted to try it. However, the form that came out was a bit different from what I had studied, and it was good. I studied that the onion was more prominent and the visual was quite bad. Oh no! Delicious! Now, let's try the katsudon at a ramen and curry shop!! Delicious!! This katsudon is delicious. The sauce is slightly sweet, but the pork cutlet is thick, crispy, and the egg is cooked very well. It's much better than the ramen and curry I had before... This katsudon is delicious. And it's cheap too. A little change in taste I felt it was slightly sweet, so I added shichimi spice here. I always sprinkle it everywhere anyway. Perfect. Oh, it's delicious after all... I even thought it might be nice if this restaurant had katsudon curry. A set with ramen and katsudon would be nice too. The old man and lady running the place seemed to be struggling, but I hope they continue to operate for a long time. Next time, I might go for the katsudon again. Thank you for the meal. ⇒ ◇ Ordered something other than the specialty, but it was a big hit ◇

Dining hall... "Daimon". Located at 2-21 Kamii, Asahikawa City, map here: https://goo.gl/maps/vuYPFAWpMNr78vkt7. Open from 11:00 to 19:00, closed on Mondays. Parking available, no takeout. It's a pretty old shop, isn't it? It's quite noticeable, so every time I pass by, I've been thinking for over 10 years that I want to try it someday. The prices on the menu are fairly typical for a dining hall. Anyway, I entered. I sat at the counter seat. There are also table seats and a raised seating area in the back. The menu includes ramen, curry, and a few rice bowl dishes. There are also some set meals. However, on this day, I was in a very oriental mood (mystery), so I thought about South Asia... Pork cutlet curry for 780 yen plus a large portion for 100 yen. Well, if there's a pork cutlet, it's East Asia... Hmm, this looks promising. I could taste a slight acidity and a slightly rich curry roux. The flavor was well-balanced with a good blend of umami and spices. The pork cutlet, while simple, was tender and not bad in taste. It was thick enough to provide a satisfying meal. Overall, I think this is pretty good. It falls somewhere between a dining hall curry and a curry from a specialized shop.

Before an important job, my routine is to eat tonkatsu. It's an old routine of mine. I usually choose the tonkatsu set, but this time, I wanted to try the katsu curry here. The curry is also delicious. I arrived at around 11:30 am, and there were no other customers. I quickly chose the katsu curry, while my wife chose the katsudon. Some might wonder why we didn't order ramen at a ramen shop, but the katsu here is really good. The curry is made with a roux, giving it a nice fragrant taste. The katsu is fried for a longer time. After a short wait, our katsu dishes arrived. They looked delicious. The katsu was sliced at a good thickness, making it exciting to eat. It had a nice meaty texture when bitten with the front teeth, and was soft and chewy when bitten with the back teeth. The right amount of fat added a delicious flavor to the pork. All my genes related to being a foodie were satisfied. I need to be careful, or I might quickly go back to being overweight. My wife enjoyed her katsudon, saying it was well-seasoned and tasty. The portion size was quite generous. The katsudon cost 700 yen, while the katsu curry was 780 yen. Great value for money. It was delicious. With this meal, I am all set for my important job! Thank you for the meal.

Both dishes were priced starting from 600 yen, which is more affordable compared to the usual 800 yen ramen. The reviewer tried the Spicy Miso Ramen and found it to be only mildly spicy, with a rich miso flavor and slightly too salty. The noodles were thin and curly, and the thick, soft chashu was enjoyable. However, the reviewer wished for more heat. The Vinegar Spicy Tanmen, on the other hand, was unexpected as it had a seafood-based salt flavor similar to champon noodles, with very little spiciness or vinegar taste. Overall, the reviewer's expectations were not fully met with these dishes.

I knew there was a ramen shop on a well-traveled road and I had been wanting to go there. I finally visited and tried the rumored mini curry set. The curry was indeed dark in color. Personally, I wish it was a bit spicier. However, both the ramen and curry were delicious. And most importantly, it was cheap! In this day and age, ramen for 600 yen is a steal!

I often go to this restaurant alone. The shop is small, run by an elderly couple who cook slowly and without rushing. There is no TV or radio playing. They don't greet you with a loud "welcome" or "sorry for the wait," but that's just because they are shy. I remember having a conversation with them before, and they left a nice impression with their gentle smiles. About five years ago, I tried their miso curry ramen and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. I really like their miso ramen here. This time, I decided on miso curry ramen as soon as I walked in. I wanted to add chashu if possible, but it's not on the menu, so I gave up on that idea. But for only 770 yen, it's quite cheap! It was ready in less than 10 minutes. The soup has a hint of curry color, and the delicious curry roux from this place is added on the side, which is quite unique. Other curry ramen at different shops don't have the roux added. The soup is delicious, with a curry flavor but slightly sweet. Unlike other curry ramen where it tastes like they just added noodles to curry, this one feels like the noodles are in a miso ramen soup with a curry flavor. It's really good. I enjoyed about half of it, then melted the roux a little. As I did, the curry flavor became stronger. I used the spoon to scoop up more roux and added the noodles, then slurped it all up in one go, turning it into a curry roux ramen. It might be fun to have rice with it too. The noodles are a bit soft, but they go well with the curry flavor. When the curry mixes with the noodles, the soup also enters your mouth and tastes delicious. The portion is generous, and I enjoyed changing the flavors as I ate. This is a nice place where I can relax and take my time. I'm not sure what I'll order next time, but I think I'll go for the curry cutlet rice again. Thank you for the meal.

It seems to be run by an elderly couple. I ordered the set menu of soy sauce ramen with black curry. It looks like ramen is the main dish here, but they also have a variety of curry dishes like katsudon and oyakodon. I could hear the sound of frying from the kitchen, maybe someone ordered katsudon. The curry arrived in less than 10 minutes, and its spicy aroma was enticing. The ramen soup was similar to Asahikawa ramen, not very strong in soy sauce flavor. The noodles were thin and firm, but didn't quite match the soup. The chashu seemed to be pork shoulder, slightly under-seasoned with a slight hint of odor. Overall, the ramen was decent but not outstanding. The curry, on the other hand, seemed to be made with a blend of various spices, with pork and surprisingly, chunks of separately steamed potatoes. It was delicious. The value for money was quite surprising, with the set priced at 800 yen. In today's world where ramen alone can cost over 800 yen, this is very reasonable.

After a business trip, feeling tired... And today, there is one more task to tackle... On days like this, I want to choose "tonkatsu" for lunch. I usually go for the tonkatsu set meal, but lately, the number of set meal restaurants and local Chinese restaurants has decreased... Being overshadowed by chain stores, individual-owned shops have been disappearing, making it hard to find a place to eat. So, what should I have today? Tonkatsu is a must. I've seen ramen with tonkatsu on top lately. There's also tonkatsu on soba... But today, I'm going with curry katsu. The place I've never tried curry at before, Daimon-san, it is. My son had it before, and I had a bite, it was quite flavorful. They open at 11 am. So, let's go at 11 am. I arrived almost on time. The curtain wasn't out yet, but the owner who just came back in the car said, "I'll start now, so please wait a moment." I glanced at the menu, just to confirm if they have curry katsu. Ignoring other menu items. "Curry Katsu, spicy," I ordered. After ordering, I heard the sound of pounding meat. And soon after, the sound of it being put in oil, sizzling. Since they just opened, I thought the oil might not be hot yet, but they were already prepared! It's run by an elderly couple. The prices are cheap! Personally, I recommend miso curry and miso curry. The soy sauce chashu is also my favorite. The set menu is also cheap. In less than 15 minutes, the curry katsu arrived. Nice. This dark color, now let's check the tonkatsu. It's quite large in size. And the cross-section. Wow, quite thick. Among recent tonkatsu, it's one of the best. Since it's homemade tonkatsu, the shape and pressure may vary daily. I took a bite of the tonkatsu. Wow, it's delicious. It's juicy, and has a good texture. Unlike premium meat, it has some fibers. But it's a flavorful tonkatsu, which makes me happy. The curry has a rich flavor. It's spicy too. Indeed, it's spicy. This spiciness adjustment is probably with garam masala powder and chili powder (floating on the surface of the roux). It's good to have a spiced flavor, but the original richness is slightly overshadowed by the spice. Next time, I'll try medium spicy. And the fukujinzuke. This is good too. The brown fukujinzuke is not overly sweet, with a moderate saltiness, it's delicious. Curry katsu is eaten with a spoon in this place. Many places use forks. With a spoon, I have to put all the tonkatsu in my mouth without cutting it, so I borrowed chopsticks to cut the tonkatsu. And I continued to eat tonkatsu, rice, and curry alternately with all my heart. It was a taste that I never got tired of until the end. The rice is probably around 400 grams. Quite a lot. And it's only 780 yen (tax included)!! Well, a homemade curry that takes time. And a thick tonkatsu. The amount of rice is like a chain store's large serving. Definitely cheap. And delicious. In Asahikawa, my personal favorite is Uncle Peppery, and Cardamom. Unfortunately, the closed cafe, Koyo. Recently, I'm getting into Buta Hat. It's as delicious as these. Or maybe, it's better to choose a restaurant based on the mood of the day. Ranking restaurants would bring bad luck. Thinking about this and that, I drank water after the meal. I've never seen other customers' orders at this place, such as katsudon, oyakodon, and omurice curry. Next time, I might try these... No, I feel like going back to ramen again... It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. Keep up the good work! I'll definitely come back!

Today's lunch was at Oomon, where I ordered the Soy Sauce Ramen and Mini Black Curry Set for 800 yen. The ramen alone starts at 600 yen, so it's really affordable. The Shoyu Ramen has a gentle flavor, and the large slices of chashu are tender. The curry has the perfect balance of sweetness and spiciness, and even the Katsu Curry alone is a good deal at 780 yen.

I visited the restaurant because the ramen and curry set seemed like a good deal. There is a parking lot next to the shop. The shop is relatively small in size. Inside, there is a small counter in front as you enter, with tables on the left and a raised seating area on the right. I ordered the set menu in advance, which costs 800 yen. It includes a mini curry and ramen set. You can upgrade the ramen to miso for an extra 50 yen. During lunch, you can get a small rice for just 30 yen. The soy sauce ramen seemed like traditional Asahikawa ramen with firm noodles and tasty soup. The curry appeared dark and included a carrot, potato, and a piece of tender meat. It seems like the ingredients are cooked separately. The spiciness and sweetness of the curry were just right. The mini curry paired well with the ramen, providing just the right amount of food. I would recommend this set. Next time, I might try the curry cutlet or miso curry ramen because the curry was delicious.

This is catalog {037}. I had heard good things about it but hadn't been able to come. Today, I had a sudden work shift on my day off. I was feeling hungry on my way home, so I looked for a restaurant (the lonely pattern). I was tempted to try the miso curry ramen, but I stuck to my original plan and ordered the soy sauce set. It was 4 o'clock in the afternoon. It was a hot summer day, and I ate while sweating. I liked the thin and firm noodles in the ramen. The thick chashu, perfectly seasoned soup, and subtle curry flavor were all great. The carrots, meat, and potatoes were all cooked to perfection. Even though it was a mini set, the quality was definitely not lacking. I left feeling very satisfied, and I would like to come back again. Thank you for the delicious meal! ^^

I finally went after feeling like going from reading reviews. It's best to call ahead as they may be closed on days other than regular holidays. The miso ramen and mini curry set was delicious - the curry had a rich flavor. I wanted to eat more. I was worried about getting full, but I was just right. The bean sprouts in the ramen were crunchy, which was good. The soup was light, but I would have been happier with a more impactful soup. I was surprised at how cheap it was.

Visit date June 6th (Thursday), starting from today I had work in the Kamii area. Along the road from Kamii to Heisei Ohashi and Kagura, there was a shop that I had never visited even though I always passed by it. "Blue Blue 34," "Hot Hot Star Man," "satochina1123," and many other followers have visited this place, so I had to go. I entered the shop a little after 12 o'clock, and there was one customer already inside... Now, what should I order? Since the black curry seemed good, I ordered the soy sauce ramen with black curry set! While waiting for my order, a young woman entered and ordered the "Miso Jan Spicy Ramen" with the spiciest level! What a challenger! She must be a regular customer, ordering right when she entered the shop! The background music was of the healing music genre, making me feel like it could heal my tired body from work. The order arrived in about 10 minutes, and the curry had quite a spicy aroma! When I took a bite, it was indeed quite spicy! The soy sauce ramen was a classic Asahikawa ramen, with a unique taste in the soy sauce broth, but it was delicious. This black curry set had a decent portion size and at 800 yen, it was a great value for money. Another delicious lunch today! Thank you for the meal!

I often passed by this restaurant in the evening on weekdays but couldn't stop by. Finally, I was able to go there! When I entered, the owner and his wife greeted me warmly. It was a nice atmosphere. Since it was a bit late, I was the only customer. I looked at the menu and there were more choices than I expected. I ordered the miso ramen and black curry set while chatting with the wife. The miso ramen had a nostalgic taste and was cooked just right. It was so good that I felt like eating it all at once (laughs). The curry was rich and the ingredients had a strong presence. It was delicious! Next time, I'll come for the curry as the main dish! Thank you for the meal! (´∇`)

I visited for lunch on a regular day. I had heard from a friend that there was a place where you could eat delicious curry. It was past 1:30 pm, so there was only one other customer. The owners seemed to be a fairly elderly couple. My friend had recommended getting the set with ramen because it's also really good. So, I ordered the set with soy sauce ramen and black curry (mini) for 800 yen including tax. It arrived in about 10 minutes. The black curry (mini) was really black (laughs) and even though it was a "mini" size, it was quite a generous portion. When I took a bite, it was very spicy!! And it had a rich flavor. Just as my friend had said, it was really delicious! The large pieces of pork were well stewed, but the potatoes were not stewed together, they were lightly fried and served separately. I thought the potatoes were much better served separately than melted into the curry. The soy sauce ramen had low hydration medium-thin curly noodles. It had the classic appearance of Asahikawa ramen. It came with a large piece of char siu, salt-free menma, and green onions, making for a simple ramen. The soup wasn't too strong in flavor, just right. I was very satisfied with this set for 800 yen! I never would have expected to be served such delicious curry and ramen by the elderly gentleman. I hope they stay healthy and keep up the good work for a long time. Thank you for the meal.

It's been a while. I remembered that the chashu here was supposed to have little fat. So I came for the chashu noodles. I usually prefer miso ramen or curry ramen, but this time I went for soy sauce. Because chashu's flavor is soy sauce-based. The soy sauce ramen was the right choice after all. The soup had a delicious flavor with a strong seafood base. The chashu was indeed large, just as I remembered. And it had little fat, which was very good. I enjoyed it very much. Thank you for the meal.

I had seen the building and sign of this restaurant for quite a while, but for some reason, I had never visited it until now. Maybe it was because I was researching reviews of various places? I actually wanted to go to another restaurant, but I left home around 2:30 pm and ended up taking my time. I visited a few places, but some were closed for a break. Today, I finally decided to give this place a try. There were no other customers at the time, so it was just us. I ordered the Soy Sauce Ramen and Black Curry Mini Set for 800 yen, and the Sour and Spicy Tanmen for 730 yen. It was my first time at this restaurant, and I was initially going to order the Salt Ramen, but I saw the Sour and Spicy Tanmen, which I love, and ended up choosing that instead. I asked for the noodles to be slightly firm. The Soy Sauce Ramen had a complex flavor with a mix of fish and pork bone broth, which was a bit challenging for me. The Black Curry seemed like it was made a few days ago, with the potatoes being a bit too firm. The pork in it was delicious though. As for the Sour and Spicy Tanmen, it had a good thickness to the broth and lots of ingredients, but unfortunately, the octopus was too chewy and the shrimp needed to be deveined. There were too many ingredients in it, making it hard to finish. Overall, it seemed like a promising restaurant, but there were some disappointing aspects to the dishes.
