When traveling between Kitami and Sapporo, you always get hungry around Takikawa, right? I've passed by this restaurant many times but never stopped by. It's called Hijiiri. Upon entering the restaurant, it feels strangely spacious. From the color of the tiles in front of the store, it seems like it used to be a Seven Eleven. I ordered a large portion of miso ramen for 800 yen plus 100 yen. It's expensive because it's in the countryside! The ramen that came out surprisingly had about 3 slices of chashu, menma, and green onions. It's miso ramen but not the kind with stir-fried vegetables. The taste is surprisingly strong miso flavor with a good amount of garlic. The chashu, despite looking simple, is well-marinated and surprisingly delicious. Overall, it's not bad, but considering the price is not cheap, I'm not sure if I would go again next time. That's how I feel.

People who know it, know it. When driving on National Route 12 between Asahikawa and Sapporo, there is a ramen shop near the Ebetsu Otsu intersection. I have seen it a few times myself. If you drive to Takikawa by local road, you might think, "Why is there a place like this here?" The shop has an orange sign and is located on the left side when driving from Asahikawa. It always catches your eye when you stop at the traffic light. I also remembered it. So, when I had some work in Takikawa, I was invited to this shop on the way back. It was a shop I wanted to try, so I was glad. What flavor of ramen do you like? Today, let's see how it ranks! If it looks delicious, click the "↓" button! The shop offers a variety of ramen options, including soy sauce, salt, and miso flavors, as well as spicy miso and Haccho miso. There are also mini versions available for 250 yen. The menu also includes rice dishes, which can sometimes be surprisingly delicious at such shops. I was pondering over what to order when I came across an interesting menu item: Liver and leek miso ramen. It made me hesitate a bit because of the miso, but in the end, I decided to try it. The shop also serves cold ramen, which was perfect for the hot day. It was filled with ingredients like tomatoes, cucumbers, bean sprouts, and eggs. The egg was sliced thinly and round, which was a unique touch. The char siu was made with pork loin and had a slightly sweet and sour taste. The noodles were curly and had a good texture. My friend ordered a set with mini fried rice and soy sauce ramen. It seemed like a simple and classic choice for trying out a new shop. The soy sauce ramen had a slightly dark color, but the taste was not as strong as expected. The fried rice was moist, and the char siu and green onions had a nostalgic taste. I opted for a set with an ankake ramen in soy sauce flavor and a mini curry. The ankake ramen had a thick and gooey sauce that coated everything nicely. The flavor was surprisingly light, almost to the point of being bland. The texture was great for those who like thick sauces, but the lack of flavor was disappointing. Overall, it was an interesting dining experience with some hits and misses in terms of flavor.

The soup was a bit salty. The noodles were straight and had a good texture. However, I feel like it could use a bit more creativity. Maybe something visually appealing.

I moved to Takigawa and am searching for a ramen shop. I'm writing based on my memory of a visit from when it first opened. I usually order the salt ramen, and the noodles are delicious with a low water content. The soup is also delicious and to my liking. I will visit again.

Simple soy sauce ramen is delicious. The liver and leek stir-fry and fried chicken are generous in portion and cost-effective. It's a place where even families can be satisfied.

- 9/24 First Visit - Today, after checking the situation at two construction sites in Sapporo in the morning, I headed to the Takikawa site. After finishing checking the situation at the Takikawa site at 1:30 pm, I was really hungry (-_-;). Since I also had to go to the Asahikawa site afterwards, I decided to visit this restaurant in Ebe Otsu that I had been curious about for a while. It was past lunchtime, so there were no other customers. I sat at the counter and ordered the Shoyu Ramen from the menu. It arrived 6 minutes later! It was simple with 2 slices of chashu, menma, and green onions, fitting the price. First, I tried the soup (^)o(^) It was light yet delicious. The noodles were curly thin noodles, and the texture was just right when slurped. It started off well (laughs), but as I kept eating, the taste of the noodles made from carefully selected wheat started to get a bit boring. Lastly, the green onions... It didn't really add any enjoyable flavor change. As for the menma... I don't usually like it, and after one bite, I stopped (^_^;)

After returning from my son's house in Sapporo, I was in the mood for ramen for lunch. I came across a shop that had caught my eye for a while on Route 12 in Ebeotsu, called "Hijiri." The shop was set up in the former Seven Eleven store, and I wondered how many years had passed since it opened. I entered the shop and found it filled with a sense of everyday life. There were children's bags and belongings at the entrance, and in the center table, kids were studying. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen, but unfortunately, it didn't suit my taste. My wife left hers too. Oh well, maybe I had too high expectations (laughs).

I use this place about twice a year. The ramen is average. The fried rice is generously portioned and delicious. The dumplings used to be tasty, but lately it seems like they are pre-made and frozen, so they lack juiciness. The interior looks like it used to be a convenience store, with a counter and raised seating areas, catering to families. There is also a kids' area. The parking lot has about three spaces. It's located on the corner of an intersection, so be careful when entering and exiting. They use Hokkaido wheat for their noodles, which is nice. I recommend the fried rice. It's not a chain restaurant, so let's support them and give it a try!
