I went shopping at Ion Hiraka and stopped by the in-store bakery to buy some bread on the way home. Even though I always buy bread here, I always realize that I forget to post about it until after I've eaten it. Today, I won't forget to post about it! I tried the "Onion Bacon Fromage" (205 yen), which is a moist and soft bread topped with onions, bacon, and cheese. It's lighter and more delicious than pizza toast. I also had the "Sugar Toast" (167 yen), which is a thick slice of hotel bread toast generously topped with sugar butter. It measured 4.5 cm thick! I prefer hotel bread to trendy raw bread. The bakery also offers a variety of savory and sweet bread, but their baguettes are delicious, and they have been promoting the "Soft French" lately. I'll try that next time! I will continue to visit Ion Hiraka store in the future. Thank you, Hiraka store!

When it gets hot, the symptoms worsen, it is a designated rare disease by the government. Unfortunately, there is no medication developed that is suitable for my rare disease. I have upcoming hospitalizations scheduled in September and January, following the recent consultations, it seems like it will be around May or June due to the current situation with COVID-19. Thank you for your continued support.
"The Pan Factory" is a bakery operated by "Robapan" under the "Fuji Pan Group", located in the Aeon shopping mall in Sapporo Hiraoka. The bakery offers a variety of soft bread suitable for all ages. During a recent visit, I purchased a curry bun with half-boiled egg, a large sausage bun, and a chikuwa bun. The curry bun had a delicious half-boiled egg inside with a mild curry flavor, priced at 238 yen. The large sausage bun, priced at 140 yen, was generously topped with ketchup and mayonnaise. The chikuwa bun, priced at 162 yen, had a unique combination of chikuwa and tuna inside. Overall, the bakery offers reasonably priced and tasty bread suitable for all ages. I look forward to trying the affordable "morning bread set for 540 yen" on my next visit. Thank you for the delicious meal.

When I visited Ion Hiraka's bakery, I also stopped by the bakery next door. I tried the following items:
- Smoked pork frankfurter (162 yen): It's been a while since I had a sausage bun, but this one was delicious. I've always liked the way it's skewered on a stick.
- Vanilla cream tear bread (172 yen): The sign said "soft dough," but I found it to be more chewy. It tasted great with the vanilla cream made from Hokkaido milk.
- Milfy (crunchy chocolate) (205 yen): It has cornflakes for a crunchy texture. The chocolate cream and whipped cream were almost like having a dessert.
All the pastries I chose were delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Ion Hiraka's bakery. Whenever I see it, the bread looks quite delicious, so I decided to try it. Each item costs between 150 yen and 300 yen, which is quite expensive. The bread is quite large, some are so big that I wish they were sold in halves. However, after trying them, I found that they were not as delicious as they looked. I couldn't taste the flavor of the wheat at all. The ones with double cheese fondue or beans were okay, but the Danish pastries, for example, had no flavor no matter how much I chewed. Wife: It's better to buy a 100 yen baguette from the regular bread section and eat that instead.

Located on the 1st floor of AEON Mall Sapporo Hiraoka along Hachibetsu Chuo Street.
▼About the Shop▼
This is an in-store bakery operated by AEON nationwide. It is located on the south side of AEON Sapporo Hiraoka store with a wide selection.
▼Menu▼
They mainly sell soft bread and sandwiches.
▼Food Tried▼
▽Roll Sausage 99 yen▽
A small and cute roll sausage prepared for the Tuesday market for 99 yen. The bread is fluffy and the sausage is not too coarse, making it a simple and small roll sausage.
▽Melon Bread 99 yen▽
A slightly small melon bread prepared for the Tuesday market for 99 yen. The cookie part is not too hard, making it a fluffy and simple melon bread.
▼Impressions▼
This is a bakery store located within large AEON stores nationwide. They have a solid bakery section with a bakery counter. While they mainly focus on soft bread, they offer a variety of options, especially during sales like the Tuesday market. The 99 yen bread I tried was decent in taste, despite its small size. I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

On a certain weekday, I stopped by the bakery at Aeon Hirao. The parking lot is spacious because it's Aeon. From the menu that day, I chose a few items that caught my eye so I wouldn't overeat. "King's Melon Melty (194 yen)" had a melon-colored cookie-like coating on top, with a dense bread dough inside and a slightly off-center melon-flavored custard cream. It's a delight for melon lovers. "Garlic Bread (140 yen)" was crispy and had a good balance of saltiness and garlic flavor. Despite being crunchy, it wasn't overly hard. "Soft Country-Style Bread, 4 slices (302 yen)" had a moist and chewy texture with a high density. It was not too sweet or oily, making it easy to eat. Although the prices varied, the bread, in particular, was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

In May 2016, I went to Hirao Park to admire the plum blossoms, and then I wanted to buy bread for tomorrow, so I went to the Aeon store in Hirao. It's different from the Aeon store I usually go to (Mo-iwa), so it was interesting to explore the store. I ended up buying bread at the "Pan Factory" next to the prominent "Morimoto's Bread Department" near the entrance. The Aeon store in Hirao is very spacious! The bread I bought was different in price from the Boston bread I usually buy, but you can taste the difference in quality. It was delicious! The price was about twice as much, but it was worth it. I think I will buy bread again when I visit other Aeon stores. Thank you for the meal!

Sunday. Shopping at the usual place, Aeon Hirao Store. For lunch today, I plan to buy some Western-style deli from a certain convenience store. After that, I will stop by that convenience store, so I decided to buy bread here at Aeon Hirao Store's Bread Factory. I have been using this store for a long time, but I can't remember exactly when I started. I have already reviewed the Sapporo Naeho store of this Bread Factory, where I had a good memory with a certain staff member. Today, I am the only one using this store. My wife found a good bread at the bread corner inside Aeon, so I decided to buy a baguette or a batard. However, I couldn't find the small size I usually buy, so I found half sizes of baguette and batard (both 130 yen tax included) near the display. I decided to go with the batard this time. After finishing shopping at Aeon, I headed to the convenience store. The item I had my eye on was in stock, which was great. I hurried back home and had lunch.
And now, the taste test:
- Batard Half Size
I tried the batard with the Western-style deli from the convenience store. The crust was crispy and peeled off cleanly. The texture was excellent with a slight natural saltiness. The soft inside with beautiful air pockets complemented the deli's flavor perfectly. The combination was fantastic. The deli from the convenience store was also delicious. I didn't review it, but it paired well with this authentic bread. I used to ignore this type of bread, but as I've gotten older, I find myself enjoying this simple French bread more and more. I paid extra attention this time, and I still prefer the batard's crust over the baguette, which feels more solid. The batard's crust is more crispy and crunchy, possibly due to the different surface area. For those who don't like crust, the batard might be a better choice. As for the taste difference between the two... I couldn't tell! The only noticeable difference was in texture due to the size and weight. But overall, the bread from this Bread Factory is delicious. I used to buy "cooking bread" and "sandwiches" here, so I plan to add reviews for each purchase in the future. The first one will be the batard half size.

Visited AEON Sapporo Hiraoka store in November 2015 and tried the "Sausage Donut Santa Claus" for 388 yen. Since Christmas was approaching, they had Christmas limited edition items, and I chose the slightly long-faced Santa. There was also a reindeer, but maybe next time. The Santa had a well-made face, especially the eyebrows! There were eyebrows on top of the hat! It made me chuckle a bit. Inside was chocolate cream. The melon bread dough for the beard was crispy and delicious. The donut must be quite popular since it appeared in a previous photo I posted. Looks like it's a favorite for many people! 😄

In July 2014, I occasionally stop by this bakery when shopping at AEON. It's the closest bakery to my house, but I don't go there very often. This time, I noticed some donuts that looked cute and delicious, so I bought a pack of 6. I also bought 2 cooking breads that I had tried before. The donuts had a light and fluffy texture and tasted great. They came in various flavors, so I felt like it was a good deal. The cooking bread with potatoes in it had a nice texture, as the potatoes were roughly mashed and paired well with the bread. I usually buy cooking bread from this bakery, but sometimes I notice that some of the bread can be a bit dry, which bothers me. However, I think the donuts and fried bread are good.

【Takeout】Located on the first floor of AEON Sapporo Hiraoka Store, along Route 1138, near the Kiyota side, is a bakery that mainly offers hard bread.
Visited again around 9 pm on September 24, 2013. Today, I used a one-day bus pass to go to Asari in Otaru City, enjoyed some baked goods, and had curry before coming back. Feeling a bit of a lack of exercise from sitting all day, I rode my bike to AEON Hiraoka for a quick visit. After having coffee at Starbucks, I came to buy bread for tomorrow.
As closing time approached, some of the bread items were 30% off. There was a sample of melon bread, which I tried. The bread itself was light and refreshing, different from what I usually prefer in sweet, moist pastries. I personally prefer pastries with a moist and sweet sauce.
Therefore, I purchased a Pomme de Couhën for a discounted price of 160 yen. The tangy apple with skin on was a nice touch, reminiscent of an apple pie with plenty of cinnamon. While the cream was not very noticeable, I think a bit more would have been better. In terms of price, it may be a bit on the higher side compared to my usual expectations.

This is a bakery located in the food section of the Ion Sapporo Hirao store. It is called "Bakery Factory" or "Bread Factory." Next to it, there is also a Mori Moto bakery, but many customers seem to prefer this one.
- Types of bread: There is not a wide variety of bread available, with no rye bread or ciabatta, for example. They offer a few types of bread for meals, such as rice flour bread and sandwich bread (including multigrain and hotel-style). They also have savory pastries like curry bread and pizza bread, as well as sweet pastries like twisted donuts and chocolate croissants. Sandwiches were already sold out during the visit.
- Bread styles: While they do have baguettes and batards, there are fewer hard crust bread options, with more soft bread varieties. This may be due to the many families visiting the store.
- Bread characteristics: They seem to emphasize bulk sales and larger-sized bread. It was nice to see freshly baked bread available even in the evening. The batard purchased was crusty and firm, with a high crumb ratio. The dough was moderately airy, with a standard taste and saltiness. Due to high humidity, the bread quickly became soft even when stored in a plastic bag, so caution is advised. The next day, it was slightly stale, so toasting it was recommended.
- Black Sesame Rice Flour Bread: This bread made with rice flour comes in plain and black sesame flavors. The black sesame adds a crunchy texture, while the rice flour gives a moist and soft feel. The crumb is dense, providing a satisfying bite. The use of black sesame, margarine, and sugar gives it a rich flavor.
- Sweet Red Bean Bread: This bread with sweet red beans was delicious. The red beans were slightly chunky, retaining their shape and sweetness. There was a hint of saltiness that enhanced the overall sweetness. The crust was thin, and the crumb was dense and slightly dry, giving it a hearty texture.
- Cinnamon Roll: It was a larger version of a regular cinnamon roll, but it was not tasted during the visit.
