I visited around 3 pm. The operating hours are getting shorter and shorter here. It seems the last order is at 5:30 pm. I ordered the seafood doria. It was salty and the rice was mushy. Maybe it was frozen. I think I made the wrong choice. I'm so thirsty now. What a shame.

On a weekday before 3 pm, I was feeling a bit hungry and decided to stop by a nearby soba restaurant, but they were out of soba. As I was about to leave, I noticed a café nearby. It used to be a different restaurant, but now it's a new bakery called "Shirokuma Bakery." The interior had a counter, tables, and even a raised seating area for families. I wasn't looking for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, but I wanted a light snack and coffee. They had a set menu with a drink included, but I opted for a bacon, lettuce, and cheese croissant for 539 yen and an iced coffee for 539 yen. They also had pasta, gratin, and salads. The croissant was delicious, not too sweet or too crispy. The coffee was also great, with a good balance of flavor. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxing. I also bought an apple cinnamon custard as a souvenir, which was also tasty. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would definitely go back. Thank you for the meal.

I stopped by Polar Bear Crescent Coffee the next morning to buy bread for breakfast. It was already past noon, but the place was quite crowded. They offer various croissants that you can order, so it's a good place for lunch too. I was planning to buy some simple croissants at first, but I was tempted by the "recommended by the manager" sign and ended up buying an an butter croissant. I decided to warm it up in the toaster for a minute before eating. The result was a croissant half melted with butter... Is there too much butter? The top was crispy, but the bottom was soaked with butter. This croissant is dangerously delicious, but eating it every day would definitely not be good for your health.

I had a coffee in the morning while doing a little work, and just finished around noon, so I stayed for lunch. This time, I ordered a black truffle egg salad croissant with quinoa, a 10-ingredient salad, and soup. It took about 8 minutes for the food to arrive. The soup arrived first, followed quickly by the croissant and salad. Surprisingly, the portions were quite generous. I started with the salad, feeling like I had gotten my daily dose of vegetables, which was great. Next was the croissant, which was as expected, neither exceeding nor falling short of my expectations. Lastly, the soup of the week was delicious. For dessert, I had an iced tea and a croissant with chocolate, nuts, and cappuccino gelato. This sweet croissant was enjoyed with a knife and fork, and it was excellent. I spent about 2 hours there. Thank you.

I had heard that a new cafe specializing in croissants by Shirokuma Pan had opened, so I decided to check it out. The parking lot was spacious and convenient as it was shared with other shops. When I entered the cafe around 11 am, most of the seats were already taken. The interior was surprisingly spacious, with raised seating areas and tables with sunken kotatsu. I chose a regular table for two and ordered a lunch set which included a croissant, soup, salad, and coffee. There were various types of croissants available, and I chose the black truffle egg salad croissant while my companion had the BLT sandwich. We both had the Shirokuma blend coffee. The croissants were a bit small, but tasty. The soup and salad set was average, with the pumpkin and soy milk soup being delicious but in a small portion. There are now many cafes in the Miyanozawa area, and I would like to come back to try their pancakes as well.

After work, I had lunch. I had tarako pasta with a set drink of iced tea. I sat at a table in a tatami room, which had a calming atmosphere that made conversation flow easily. Before I knew it, time had passed and I ended up ordering more drinks and dessert (laughs). The natsumikan float was delicious. The conversation kept going on and on!

Located in the Higashi-ku Hachiken area, this Croissant Cafe from the popular Shirokuma Bakery opens at 9:30 in the morning and offers a morning menu until 11:00. As you enter the store, you'll be greeted by a display of beautifully crafted croissants. The atmosphere is very calming, with free WiFi, power outlets, and comfortable seating available. For the morning menu, if you order a coffee, you'll also get a croissant. You can choose between two types of croissants: "Plain" or "Natural Yeast." I chose the Natural Yeast croissant with a topping of "Whipped Butter." For drinks, I ordered the "Shirokuma Blend" which was a blend of Brazilian beans, easy to drink with a good balance of richness and bitterness. The aftertaste had just the right amount of acidity for me. The Natural Yeast croissant with Whipped Butter had a subtle butter flavor. It wasn't freshly baked or warm, so it might be better to reheat it at home for a more enjoyable experience. It was a bit disappointing that the butter didn't melt, which is why I chose whipped butter. Overall, if you're ordering the morning set, I recommend considering your choices carefully and finding a good combination. Thank you for the meal! ♥

On a certain weekday, I had lunch and still had some time left, so I visited a cafe at a bakery in Hakkō 6-jo, Nishi-ku, which I had bookmarked for a while. The cafe has its own parking lot, which was convenient. Located on the first floor of a building with various eateries, as soon as you enter the cafe, you will see a showcase of croissants, a few counter seats, around 6 table seats, and a surprisingly spacious raised seating area where you can take off your shoes. It was quite crowded with customers enjoying their afternoon. The lively background music was playing Western music, but I couldn't quite make out the songs. From the menu, I was just planning to have coffee, but to write a review, I decided to try the new items, the "Rum Raisin Butter (385 yen)" and the "Polar Bear Blend (set 330 yen)". First, I took a bite of the croissant – it was a large croissant with a crispy texture, very authentic and well-made. The butter inside was convincing, and the sweet and sour raisins added a nice touch. Next, I tried the Polar Bear Blend – it had a complex flavor profile with a decent bitterness, deep richness, and a fruity-like astringency at the end, which was surprisingly good. Still having time, I also ordered the "Iced Coffee (539 yen)", which was a bit pricey as it was sold separately, but the variety of flavors was impressive. It's amazing how you can feel different tastes at a bakery cafe specializing in coffee and croissants. The cafe was overwhelmingly popular, especially among women. Thank you for the meal.

I visited on a Sunday. This cafe, operated by Shirokuma Bakery which opened in 2022, is known for its croissants. This time, I used it for takeout, but there are 60 seats including a counter, tables, and a raised area. It is non-smoking and there is a parking lot next to the shop. The takeout offers various unique croissants that are exciting to look at. For dining in, they have a rich menu including sandwiches using croissants, pancakes, rice, pasta, and more. What I had this time was the Plain Croissant made with natural yeast for 308 yen. The crispy and subtly sweet croissant had a satisfying texture. I would love to dine in next time. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Mikazuki Coffee for lunch and had a hard time choosing between the croissant main dishes, but I ended up trying the Polar Bear Meat Doria! It was quite delicious. I also ordered a summer orange soda drink set for an additional 300 yen, but it was only available until 2 p.m. Unfortunately, I missed the deadline. On my way back, I bought croissants as souvenirs - one plain and one from Ten'nen Koubou. I think I preferred the regular plain one.

I used a coffee and bread shop in Nishi Ward, Sapporo City for a coffee break during work. The iced coffee had a slightly unique aroma, not too sharp, and smoothly passed through the throat, it was delicious. I don't visit Nishi Ward as often as before, but if I have the chance, I would like to use it again.

Killing time at a midnight drinking party. I wonder when this cute little shop opened up. They even have a parking lot. The interior is spacious with sunken kotatsu-style seating. There are also counter and table seats. It seems to be affiliated with Shirokuma Pan, known for their sandwiches. The name "Shirokuma Mikazuki Coffee" suggests that they specialize in croissants. I'm not a fan of coffee, but I ordered a cafe au lait. It's smooth and easy to drink - I even added ice (lol). A calming atmosphere. I definitely want to come back.

Located near a subway station in the Miyanosawa area, this bakery cafe on the first floor along the Teine-dori street is run by Shirokuma Bakery. They open early in the morning and have a spacious parking area shared with the building, making it convenient for customers. The interior has counter seats, table seats, and even tables where you can take off your shoes, so there are plenty of seating options. I visited for breakfast and ordered the "Morning Set" along with a "Croissant Sandwich." The Morning Set comes with a drink, a croissant, and a free topping. I chose the Shirokuma Blend coffee, a plain croissant, and scrambled eggs as my topping. The Croissant Sandwich I ordered was the Bacon, Lettuce, and Cheese option. The coffee had a blend of Brazil and Guatemala beans, with a rich taste and minimal acidity. The croissants are baked in-house and all the items I tried were delicious. The prices for drinks were reasonable, making the Morning Set a good deal. They also sell their bread separately, so it's a great spot for croissant lovers.

The restaurant, which has just opened, is already very popular. On this day, many customers were enjoying the lunch sets. I had a sweet croissant filled with apple and custard, along with a cafe au lait. The bread I took home as a takeaway was delicious. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly, and I look forward to trying their lunch set next time.

The interior of the store was stylish. It's a cafe that women would like. I tried three types of croissants. The normal Shirokuma croissant and the natural yeast croissant looked flat and squished. I didn't really like the scent of the natural yeast. The an butter croissant was delicious with the combination of butter and red bean paste. When you come here, you can enjoy eating in a stylish store or consider the an butter croissant as a souvenir. Thank you for the meal.

I visited around 10 o'clock because I heard they have a morning menu from 9 to 11. Coming from Nagoya, I'm used to Nagoya-style morning sets where you only pay for the drink and get toast or salad for free. Here, you really only pay for the drink, and it comes with a croissant topped with red bean paste or butter, and scrambled eggs. Quite a deal. I ordered a Butterfly Tea, but the staff didn't seem familiar with it. When I asked what it was, they said it's like lemon tea. I thought it was a type of black tea, but then the server mentioned adding lemon juice changes the color. So, it's more like an herbal tea! The croissant was okay, nothing special. It's surprising they don't even reheat it at a cafe. There were a lot of people, but the staff seemed bored. Maybe because they just opened. I'll come back to try the menu items only available inside the store. Thank you for the meal.

Visited the restaurant with my family for lunch. The croissants for takeout were sold out. No restocking? I could see the regular croissants being baked, though. The set options were salad and soup, or a drink, both for 300 yen + tax. The salad was quite generous, but the soup was tiny! I think it was labeled as a mini soup. I had a sandwich with rolled omelette and prosciutto. The omelette was thick, but cold! It seemed like it was taken straight out of the fridge. Maybe because it was paired with prosciutto? The bread was cold too. It's a shame. They should put more effort into the takeout menu, even if it's only for dine-in. The staff seemed a bit disorganized. Also, when I bought something to take away, the same staff member took my order, rang me up, and wrapped it all by themselves, while three others just stood around. The portion size of the pasta was decent. I wonder if there's no one overseeing everything there yet. I might go back since it's close by, but I'm not sure. Thank you for the meal.

"On December 16, 2022, the café "Shirokuma Mikazuki Coffee" operated by "Shirokuma Pan" in Shiraishi-ku opened its doors. Located a 5-minute walk from Miyanozawa Station on the subway, the front of the store was adorned with celebration flowers, and there were many customers, creating a lively atmosphere. The operation consisted of "two older women and seven young men and women," which seemed like a large team in the food and beverage industry where there is a shortage of manpower. The capacity included "6 counter seats, 4 tables for 4 people, 1 table for 2 people," and several low tables were placed in a spacious raised area, not all visible but around 5-6 tables, possibly targeting families with children. Sitting at the counter seat, there were AC power outlets, USB ports, and Wi-Fi available right in front of you. Looking at the menu, they boasted sandwiches and sweets made with croissants, with curry, gratin, pasta, pancakes, and more. I ordered the "Shirokuma Blend @ 539" which took 15 minutes to arrive. I started to feel like I was being forgotten, but just as I was starting to wonder, it arrived with a "Sorry to keep you waiting." Sitting at the small café counter, when the hand-drip coffee is visible, there is no anxiety, but in a large café, you can't see what's happening, and you may wonder if your order is being processed. Although there were a fair number of customers, the staff was also numerous, and the time taken seemed excessive. Perhaps the operation is not yet settled shortly after opening, or on the contrary, it may be brewed carefully. However, I also saw the floor staff checking with the kitchen about the serving time for the delayed orders. Dishes like pancakes that require cooking time may be better to inform in advance. The coffee served in a solid gray cup had a lower temperature, a mild acidity, and a moderate bitterness, not particularly special, hence the cost performance was also mediocre. Upon reviewing the menu, the pricing of "Decaf @ 825 yen" compared to "Blend @ 539 yen" seemed questionable. Although it is a new store, I felt that some areas, such as the cleanliness of the counter and the toilet, were slightly neglected. From the moment I entered, three plates of pancakes were left in the corner of the counter, and I wondered if they were going to serve them to customers. They remained there, untouched, without being cleared or moved to an unseen area. Surely, this is a store that will continue to "evolve and improve," but I hope they will strive to achieve stable operations soon. I would like to visit again after some time, and at that time, I would like to enjoy a meal in a slightly calmer atmosphere. Thank you for the meal."

I visited this restaurant on its opening day for lunch. The place used to have a different name, but I think it was a bar before. The interior has a counter with 6 seats, tables with 14 seats, and around 20 sunken kotatsu-style seats. They offer freshly baked croissants with sweet fillings like an butter or caramel, as well as croissant sandwiches with ham and cheese. They also serve pancakes, curry, pasta, and more. I ordered the dashimaki tamago & ham croissant sandwich for 490 yen and a drink set with iced coffee for 300 yen. The combination of dashimaki tamago and ham in a croissant was delicious. The place also has power outlets, USB charging ports, and WiFi available. You can also buy croissants and other items for takeout, which seem to be quite popular.
