Due to drinking too much dark roast, I always find the coffee temperature too hot, so I accidentally burned my mouth when I took a sip. I quickly pulled away from the cup. I let it cool down a bit before enjoying it. I leisurely read a book. The only downside was the external noise. The lively voice of some kind of movie promotion drowned out the jazz playing in the background. It was a bit disappointing. In a cafe, one of the pleasures is to read a book while listening to jazz, but since this cafe is located in a large facility, it couldn't be helped. I stayed for about an hour. I stopped by the Sanpiazza Clinic eye clinic and wandered into Miyakoshi Coffee. The staff's service was excellent, with a warm and friendly atmosphere and impeccable manners. When you encounter such a staff member, you can be sure that everything on the menu will be delicious. I ordered an iced tea and cookie for my friend, and an iced milk tea float for myself. It had been decades since I last had a float, and it brought back memories of my younger days. When I took a sip of the float, it was so delicious, with the subtle flavor of unsweetened milk tea mixing perfectly with the sweetness of the ice cream. It was truly delicious. As I finished my drink and went to the counter, the staff must have noticed that I had come in for an eye exam because they kindly said, "Please take your time next time you visit." This small gesture made me want to come back again. Miyakoshi Coffee at Sanpiazza, a place that is delicious not only for the taste buds but also for the heart. I look forward to visiting again.

I visited Miyakoshiya Coffee Sanpiazza for a coffee break. I usually go there for their chocolate chip pound cake, but they were sold out that day, so I settled for an iced cafe au lait and a cookie. They were out of my favorite cheesecake as well, so it was a bit of a disappointing day in terms of menu options. The cheesecake at Miyakoshiya is always delicious, but I feel like the menu at the Shin-Sapporo branch is slightly different. So, I decided to find a place to sit down, and luckily, I found Miyakoshiya nearby and went in. The cheerful and cute waitress guided me to a spacious table. So kind and friendly! Thank you! I ordered an "iced coffee" (660 yen) and "cookies" (132 yen). The iced coffee had a mild acidity, strong bitterness, and a rich, full-bodied flavor. The cookies were crispy with chocolate chips, a perfect match for the slightly bitter coffee. When I added milk halfway through, the bitterness weakened, and the acidity emerged. It was interesting to taste the change. The cozy lighting, lively jazz background music, and comfortable room temperature made it a pleasant space to relax. On this day, I wandered around Sapporo at Sunpiazza and Katapuri, enjoying food and shopping. Feeling a bit tired, I decided to visit "Miyakoshiya Coffee," a local coffee chain from Sapporo that I had never been to before. The atmosphere inside was nice and cozy, different from other coffee shops. I ordered a cake set with cheesecake, which was rich and delicious. The coffee had a nice aroma and the attention to detail in the serving ware was impressive. Although coffee is not my favorite, this was a good place to relax after a tiring day of shopping. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

In February 2021, I visited a large commercial facility centered around JR Shin-Sapporo Station called "Sunpiazza & Duo" and "Katapuri". There are countless shops in the area, but I noticed that there are many cafes and coffee shops in proportion to the size of the facility. Among them, there are 9 pure cafe and coffee shops such as "Miyakoshiya Coffee," "Kurashiki Coffee Shop," "Saint Marc Cafe," "Place de Delicatessen," "UCC Cafe Mercard," "PRONTO," "Kahosakan," "Misuzu," and "Tully's," along with family restaurants and fast food chains. Each shop has its own unique characteristics, but some may not have much difference. As a middle-aged man, I recommend "Delicatessen" on the 3rd floor of Sanpiazza Center Mall as a relaxing space for middle-aged and elderly people. I have visited Kurashiki Coffee Shop, Cafe Mercard, and Misuzu before, so this time I decided to try "Miyakoshiya." My go-to menu at Miyakoshiya is the "French Blend" because I like my coffee bitter. This time, I also ordered a "Pound Cake" for 220 yen, which is a reasonable price for a little snack. The sliced pound cake with cream looked appealing for its price. The location is on the 1st floor of Sunpiazza Center Mall, away from JR Shin-Sapporo Station and the bus terminal, so it's not too crowded and has a hidden gem vibe. The calm atmosphere inside allowed me to relax and enjoy my time. I look forward to trying out other shops next time.

On Sundays, I like to wander around the city, and this time I visited Shin-Sapporo. After eating and shopping around, I took a break at "Miyakoshiya Coffee" shop. The atmosphere of Miyakoshiya is similar to other cafes, with a calm jazz background music playing. I ordered the "French Blend Coffee @605" and waited about 7 minutes for it to be served. The coffee came in a white cup with blue trim, and there was an open sugar pot on the counter, which I found a bit unhygienic in the current situation. However, since I prefer black coffee, it didn't bother me much. The coffee was a bit strong due to the amount of beans used, but I liked the taste overall. My only complaint is the price, as I believe coffee should be priced below 500 yen per cup unless it's a special blend. After relaxing for about 30 minutes, I left the shop, knowing I will probably visit again in the future.

I had some time before eating dinner, so I decided to kill time here. Oh, it's so empty here! Oh, there are two ladies in the back. I can't believe they're chatting without wearing masks. I could never do that, I'm too shy. I'm sitting at the end of the counter. I ordered the French coffee for 605 yen. Wow, this coffee is delicious! It has a strong bitterness and depth in the blend that I really like. This might be the first time I've truly enjoyed coffee from "Miyakoshiya." There are many cafes around Shin-Sapporo Station, but this one is empty. Maybe it's because it's a bit tucked away. I didn't even realize there was a cafe here for a while. Well, it's nice to have a quiet place. I'll definitely come back for more delicious coffee. Thank you for the meal.

Around Shin-Sapporo Station. I can never quite figure out Kattepri, Sanpiazza, Duo, and Aeon, which are directly connected to Shin-Sapporo Station! Even though I wandered around and got a sense of the place, it's still a bit confusing. But then I stumbled upon Miyakoshiya! I'm going to have a coffee ^_^ There are two other customers here. With its colors and lighting, Miyakoshiya feels like a different world. The French coffee for 550 yen plus tax has a unique richness and bitterness. It's really strong! When you want to change your mood, this French coffee is just perfect. I feel completely refreshed now ^_^ Well, I'm off to eat something now! Thank you for the meal ^_^

Visited Sanpiazza in Atsubetsu Chuo 2-5-7-2, Sun Plaza 1F, Hikari no Hiroba Miyakoshi Coffee Sanpiazza Store on May 9, 2018. Stopped by on a whim during a break from work in Shin-Sapporo. There are several coffee shops in the area, but this time I chose Miyakoshi Coffee for a relaxing cup. Ordered the Blend Coffee French for 550 yen (excluding tax). The bitterness of the coffee was just right, allowing me to unwind and relax. A perfect energy boost during my work break! With this cup, I can tackle the rest of the afternoon. I used it for lunch on 3/10 at a coffee shop called "Miyakoshiya Coffee" located on the 1st floor of the Shin-Sapporo Station Building Sanpiazza. The food menu only had cakes and toast, but they also sold beans at the store, so it seemed like a high-quality coffee specialty shop. I decided to have cheese toast and coffee, opting for the blend coffee as it was said to be easy to drink. The coffee arrived and had a good balance of bitterness and acidity, with a depth of flavor that stood out among the coffees I've had recently. It was delicious. I added sugar to balance the bitterness, then some cream to make it smooth. The cheese toast arrived, with melted cheese piled on thick toast sprinkled with black pepper and salt. It was incredibly tasty, although a bit salty. The cheese remained delicious until the last bite. Overall, the limited food menu might make it difficult to use as a meal, but the high-quality atmosphere and food make me want to visit again. The end.

On a certain weekday, I found myself with some free time and decided to take a break after lunch in the Shin-Sapporo area. Needless to say, I headed to the famous Miyakoshiya Coffee shop in Sapporo. The parking lot above is convenient as it offers 2 hours of free parking. I found the shop on the backside of San Plaza on the first floor. The interior of the shop is typical of Miyakoshiya, with a bar-like dimly lit space that is not very spacious. There are around 8 tables and a long counter, and surprisingly, it was quite crowded. It seems that there is a demand for a smoking-friendly environment these days. On this day, I decided to try a single item, the "French Coffee (594 yen)". Taking a sip, I found it to be deep and heavy, a type of French coffee that I am not very familiar with. It was enjoyable to savor slowly. With about 60% of the seats filled, I managed to tolerate the smoking environment and spent a relaxing time sipping on the strong coffee. Thank you for the meal.

In December 2017, I became a resident of the Atsubetsu Ward and went shopping with my father in Shin-Sapporo. It had been a while since we last visited together when I was a child. As we walked around, my father expressed that he wanted to take a break because his knees were hurting. He is a smoker and wanted to have coffee while smoking, so we visited Miyakoshiya Coffee located in Hikari no Hiroba. Despite the busy atmosphere in Shin-Sapporo, this café was quiet and smoker-friendly. I ordered an iced coffee, which had a slightly bitter taste that I enjoyed. I stopped by here on a hot day for a break and enjoyed their impressive iced coffee with a great flavor and sharp taste. Although the price is on the higher side, the taste justifies it. I would like to visit other Miyakoshiya stores, including the main branch, if I have the chance.

On February 2, 2017, at 1:30 PM, I visited a cafe located in Sapporo, in a quiet corner of the Sun Plaza 1F called "Kou no Hiroba." The cafe had a spacious area with a high ceiling, next to the neon sign of Miyakoshiya. The interior was dimly lit, with a coffee bean case and a cash register near the entrance. There were counter seats and tables for four people. The counter was decorated with coffee cups and Copenhagen ear plates. The table seats were cramped and uncomfortable. The coffee I ordered, the Blend for 550 yen, was supposed to be mild but it had a bit of a bitter taste. I wondered if they brewed each cup individually or used a machine. Making coffee requires a gentle touch. It's worth noting that smoking is allowed in this cafe, and while only a few customers were smoking, it still made the atmosphere a bit challenging.

Next to the Plaza of Light. There has always been a café in this place, but I don't remember if it was always called Miyakoshiya Coffee. I haven't been to a café for coffee before heading home tired from work in a long time, probably since my twenties. Back then, I hardly drank alcohol (laughs). So, it's been over 30 years since I last visited this place! The interior of the store... Was it like this before? It seems different (laughs). I sat at the end of the counter. There was one customer at the counter and one at a table. The person at the table seemed to be working on a laptop? Later, they were talking about work on their phone. It would be nice to forget about work for a while when entering a café (laughs). So, I was thinking of ordering a blend coffee, but when I looked at the menu they brought... there was no word "blend"! I asked the cute girl, "Where is the blend?" and she replied, "Here it is (laughs)." There were several types written like "French" and so on. I couldn't take a picture (>.<) I didn't understand it well, so I asked, "What do you recommend?" and she said, "It's mild (laughs)." "Hmm, mild, huh (laughs)." From my past experiences, mild coffee has a hazy image, not my favorite type of coffee (>.<) *I also don't like coffee with strong acidity (laughs). The staff said, "This is a coffee that is easy to drink ♪" so I decided to try that. Now, let's taste it! "Oh, it's a nice feeling without that hazy feeling ♪" "It's more refreshing than mild ♪" "It's delicious ♡" The relaxed Jazz music is nice (laughs) Oh, it's time to go home already (>.<) Maybe the cost performance is not that good (laughs); it's 600 yen after all. Okay, let's pay and... done. I handed the bill to the cute girl from earlier, and then she asked, "How was the coffee?" I replied, "It was really delicious (laughs)" and she said, "Oh, that's good to hear ♪" She seemed to care whether I liked the coffee she recommended. You are wonderful for being able to show such consideration ♡ And you are wonderful for speaking up ♡ For a moment, this old man was thrilled (laughs) Much better than a certain shop owner who says "There are no vegetables."
