Hokkaido Sapporo City Chuo-ku North 2 West 3 Sapporo Fukoku Seimei Oetsuyama Building 2F Sapporo City Chuo-ku, a restaurant street on the 2nd floor of the Fukoku Seimei Building along the Sapporo Station Avenue. Yesterday, I went to the same floor to the fresh sausage bar called Rekka. Today, I went to the public dining bar Isshin in Tokachi. Chikaho = directly connected from the underground pedestrian space, there is an escalator as soon as you enter the building. You can easily go to the 2nd floor at once. When you get off the escalator and go to the right, you will find the store immediately. In front of the entrance, there is a menu table with easy-to-understand photos. I visited on Sunday after 2 pm. The lunch time is from 11 am to 5 pm, which is great. Rice is free for large servings. It seems to be very popular among office workers on weekdays. Inside the store, there are counter seats surrounding the kitchen, and table seats on the wall side. As it is an izakaya that uses ingredients from Tokachi, the faces of the producers are lined up on the counter. I was guided to the counter seat and a pitcher of water was prepared. Orders are made by scanning a QR code from each person's smartphone. This system is quite common these days. There was also curry that was not listed on the entrance lunch menu. This is a place where you can only have lunch, and two solo men were enjoying at the counter. It makes me want to drink. * Isshin Special Zangi Set Meal 690 yen Zangi x3, rice, miso soup, pickles for 690 yen. In this day and age, 690 yen is reasonable. The Zangi is freshly fried and hot, with a crispy coating and tender chicken thigh meat inside, easy to eat without any strong flavor. The seasoning is more subdued than I expected. I thought it might be better with a more punchy seasoning. Tatar sauce is served on the side, so feel free to dip it. The side dishes include shredded cabbage and pea sprouts in small amounts. It is served with a salt dressing-like sauce. The miso soup with seaweed, and pickled radish and carrot, which was more like kimpira. The Zangi was reasonably tasty, but the problem was the rice. Since the lunchtime large serving was free, I chose the large serving without hesitation, but... The rice was poorly cooked, mushy, and lacked the taste of rice. To be honest, it was disappointing. It wasn't delicious, and despite my efforts, I couldn't finish it and left a small amount. Next time, I might go for 5 or 10 Zangi pieces, and opt for a (small) size of rice.
