I'm glad I could visit again this year! I had the curry from the Maritime Self-Defense Force. The curry was delicious, and they also had products made with aronia harvested from the owner's field, such as "Hill Town Biei Aronia Drops" juice and aronia jam. The watermelon was also harvested from the owner's field and was sweet and delicious (only available now). Thank you for the meal - I will visit again!

Daily Curry (Pork Curry) for 1100 yen. This is a lunch exploration in Biei. I was intrigued by the sign and ended up entering this navy curry shop. I heard that the owner used to be a cook on a navy ship and opened this shop in his hometown after retiring. They also had set meals on the menu, but I decided to go with the daily curry. On this day, it was pork curry. Along with the curry, the meal included salad, boiled egg, croquette, Fukujinzuke, and orange for dessert. For drinks, you could choose between orange juice or milk, so I went with milk. The salad was delicious. The croquette was crispy and tasty! I really liked it! As for the curry, it was just average. There were large pieces of potatoes and pork left in the curry. Perhaps my memories of navy curry from the past were too idealized!?

I went on a motorcycle tour to Biei♥ It was lunchtime and I searched for the nearest place to eat, which led me to this restaurant. The exterior of the shop was cute and the interior was stylish, but it was small with about 8 two-person tables. There were no partitions, so I felt conscious of the other customers' gazes when I entered the shop. It was hot, so I entered with my jacket on, which probably made me look suspicious... a common thing for bikers, right? The daily curry written on the board at the entrance was chicken curry. When I ordered two, the staff suggested that they could also make pork curry, so I ordered one pork curry. The chicken curry started off mild, but as I ate, it got hotter and I couldn't finish it. The pork curry had a richer color than the chicken curry and had a good depth of flavor, but it was not as spicy as the chicken curry. I gave up on the chicken curry and let my husband eat it... it was a very spicy curry. For drinks, you could choose between orange juice and milk, so we ordered one of each. It was a hot day, but we were able to cool down and relax. The shop was quite busy inside... but the timing of customers coming in was good. The dishes were cute, like the plates we used for school lunches. Thank you for the meal!

The beef curry and ginger pork set meal was delicious. The beef curry was thick and spicy, and the croquette was crispy and tasty. In Biei, they serve milk with curry as a set, which I was happy about because I love milk. The ginger pork set meal had a flavorful taste that went well with the rice. Thank you for the meal!

Chicken Navy Curry 1100 yen★Biei Drive ε=(ﾉ･∀･)ﾂ It took less than 3 hours on local roads from Sapporo. Almost had a near miss with a fawn in the mountains on the way - so scary~((((;ﾟ;Д;ﾟ;))))ｶﾀｶﾀｶﾀｶﾀｶﾀｶﾀｶﾀｶﾀｶﾀ In the middle of the forest in Biei? The shop was not where the car navigation guided us... Not even on Yahoo navigation... Finally found the small log house with Google navigation on Tabelog. The owner used to be a cook on Maritime Self-Defense Force vessels in Ominato, Mutsu, Aomori Prefecture for 36 years. The Navy Curry made by him is the specialty of the shop. Chicken/Beef/Pork is served on rotation, and on this day it was "Chicken". The curry was like the old school aluminum tray, moist and flavorful with a hint of sweetness from fruits and a good spiciness. It was quite spicy so might be too much for kids (-д- 三 -д-) The curry had carrots/potatoes/onions which are the classic ingredients. The chicken was a bit hard to find as there was only a small amount. The salad was fresh and crispy! The croquette was crunchy without any greasiness. Maybe it was fried in a non-fryer? It was delicious~(*´∀`) For drinks, you could choose between orange juice or milk. Milk goes well with curry, right? Finished off with some refreshing watermelon♪ I have never tried Navy Curry before, so I can't compare, but it was a tasty home-style curry. Thank you for the meal (^ω^)

The freshly fried croquettes were crispy and delicious. The meals are well-balanced and satisfying, including curry, side dishes, salad, fruit, and drinks. The restaurant is clean, tastefully decorated, and the service is polite. Overall, it is a satisfying dining experience. I am looking forward to trying other Aomori local dishes on my next visit.
