National Route 230, the Ishiyama area, has opened, Konoyoshi. This neighborhood is filled with soba shops, udon shops, ramen shops, soup curry and curry shops, sushi restaurants, cafes, and many other food establishments. It's a popular place, so I made a reservation the day before to dine in. The bright and clean interior, with thorough infection prevention measures in place, of course, the restaurant is non-smoking. Since I was with my daughter and her husband, we were seated in a booth, which was a bit cramped but understandable. The chairs were uncomfortable, made of "wood," perhaps for aesthetics or to increase turnover, but they were not comfortable for sitting, causing discomfort in the buttocks. Looking at the menu, the lineup of hamburgers and steaks caught my eye, and I couldn't resist. I contemplated options like Napolitan, meat spaghetti, and hashed beef rice, but ultimately decided to go with the classic choice, ordering the "Regular Hamburger (180g) for 1,078 yen tax included." Takeout was also available, so the restaurant was quite busy, with almost full capacity and a slight delay in serving the food. The lack of cushions made the discomfort in the buttocks more noticeable. The bread arrived first, and I couldn't resist reaching for it immediately. The bread was drizzled with olive oil, enhancing the flavor, and the soft dough with herbs added a subtle aroma, complemented by the crispy surface. The hamburger arrived, generously covered in demi-glace sauce, oval-shaped, with an attractive dark brown sear, accompanied by carrots, watercress, and skin-on onions, with the delightful Napolitan swirling around. I wanted to eat it while it was still hot, so I sliced into the hamburger. The juicy meat juices overflowed, and the demi-glace sauce seemed to dilute from the excessive meat juice. The tenderness and meaty texture that instantly hit my mouth, combined with the demi-glace sauce, allowed me to savor the taste of this restaurant. The ratio of 8:2 beef to pork was mentioned, and in terms of hamburger taste, I also prefer a mix of beef. If it's a beef-producing region, I would enjoy 100% beef for different reasons. The demi-glace sauce here has a slight acidity, which doesn't make the taste feel too heavy. The sweet onions from the hamburger were delicious, and the Napolitan, with its soft spaghetti and well-cooked ketchup flavor, was also delicious. I'm not a fan of carrots, though. It's nice to be able to enjoy hamburgers and Western food casually and affordably. Despite the discomfort in the buttocks, thank you for the meal.
